So we're naming characters after er... Uncle Toms Cabin characters now? What could go wrong?
Although having recently binged on Lovecraft Country, the monster Topsy and Bopsy twins.. are fearsome figures.
I saw it, too. I'm thinking it's a working title. Still a little odd.

What I would like to see is a male counterpart to "The Girl 8", a "The Boy 8",
You mean The Guy 8. I love to do that.
but we already have Toon Dwayne 8
Toon Dwayne really isn't a good counterpart to the Girl 8. I dial in the Girl 8 to most of the females I render by about 30 percent just to add a touch of the eye shape and such, but if you add in Dwayne, their face gets elongated and doesn't add the right look.

Reptilian 8 - > The G2 version could use an update. Hopefully someone will add some of those Daz Dragon 3 head options (to make half-dragons), as well as plenty of colors skins.
Minotaur 8 -> Again, the G2 version could use an update.
Humanoid / Bird Hybrid 8. I mean half man/half bird (various heads and various plumage). Think, head of a Crow/Eagle, claws, cool raven wings.

DAZ Horse is also still on version 2... might be worth an overhaul. Has to compete with Hivewire Horse, though.
More like a "wishlist". I would certainly be interested in a Monster 8 series of mini-bundles with HD humanoid monsters.
Gianni 8 (Upgraded Version of Gianni) is sooooo long past due. He is such a favorite to so many people I still can't belive that Gianni 7 is the last we will see of him. I'm not holding my breath...but he is definitely top of my list.
I feel a Yuletide theme coming.

I feel though they could do well to have a bundle with a theme that revolves around shopping but such a bundle needs products and store sets to pull off well and that's not in keeping with bundles that have characters, clothing, hair, and poses.

Oh, I dunno - it's a radical thought, and totally different from anything the store already offers, but what about some skinny white girls, one or two dresses with cute reindeer and christmas tree patterns, dforce hair, and add some shopping bags and poses? Maybe throw in some shops from older items, and there's your bundle...

Have to admit, new figure actually ON a holiday and a little person is kind of not where I was expecting them to go. (The conceptual veer from Niko to Drutherson is some serious whiplash, it is.)
I am somewhat puzzled as to why -- two days late -- I've got a banner for Now Crowd Egyptians, but nothing for Drutherson. Wonder if they launched the wrong banner?
Hmmm, well we all three sort of guessed thematically right with Laura closest of all: so Laura you get a famed Marvel-Stan Lee No Prize. Normally one would say well it's Christmas season what'd we expect but I'm still sort of surprised as I was joking.
I'm happy with the mining clothing and other mining stuff but must wait to buy it. My father,, uncles & grandfathers all mined coal. In those days however, as actual midgets and small people that are just small but technically not dwarves (that includes a lot of horse jockeys) are scarce around here, they used to use boys for some mining jobs.
DAZ hasn't released any core elderly black characters yet. We already got Floyd and Mabel and Chow and Woo, so I wouldn't be surprised if more aged ethnic characters are in the works, maybe sometime next year.
If you think Nida and Leroy aren't elderly black characters, you just don't understand that black don't crack.
It would be nice. However, I kind of suspect that Drutherson 8's girlfriend may be the next out of the box. She appears to be in one of his promos, so she exists. And there was a fit for a Topsy 8 that someone pointed out up thread. I suspect the only way that they's avoid an outcry on that is if they did use the name for a gnome.
I love the nicknames folk used to get. My mom and all my mom's siblings had whacky nicknames. Funny, wierd nicknames don't seem to have been in vogue for a very long time now. When you do here one it's usually a sports professional that gave themselves their own nickname.
Huh. It's been over 2 weeks since the last name-and-number figure. Juan Carlos 8 came out on December 9, and here it is the 26th already. Apparently, they decided not to replicate last year's holiday season character extravaganza.
Will they launch a new character into the dead zone between Christmas and New Year's? They skipped that period last year -- in fact, there was a full month between Tristan 8 and CJ 8, the last time we had anything like that long a gap. (Which was then followed with three character bundle sets in three weeks -- CJ, Dain, Leroy.)
I don't think anyone was happy about how DAZ skimped on the last couple of bundles, and with all the mega sales combined with the loyalty discounts, it probably made putting sales incentives for new bundles together too difficult. Not to mention that, at this point, the only real avenues left to explore are doing more alternate variations on types they've already covered, seriously attempting to drop new base characters for more specific ethnicities, bringing back another wave of monsters and toon types, or finally doing some younger males to match the female teen/pre-teens.
