We had a lot of themes like Xmas, Cyberpunk, Viking, Ancient Egypt, Cowboy, ... but Aladdin theme (The Thousand and One Nights) and Middle East characters are still missing.

I'm rather doubting there'll be an Aladdin type theme, as the products in the category have never seemed to sell especially well, and we've already had at least three pairs of Gen 8 character bases from the Middle East and Near East.  Between those and all their add-ons, that seems to be enough to fill that general market when other ethanotypes haven't even been touched.  What I WOULD like to see are some sets built around real world themes like office workers, construction and factory, and police/military themes, as well as more young adult sets, and some recreational sport themes for things like skiing, camping, and so on.

AM is doing a house cat. I'd much rather have a cat that he creates rather than have Daz do it ;). Especially if it's of the quality of his lion and lion cub, which I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Surely, you're joking.  That's a PA created product that DAZ bought which just updates the creaking and ancient original Mil cat with dForce hair and a few other fixes.  It's better than nothing, but when compared to the now four year old Hivewire cat, it's very sadly lacking in terms of both sculpt and poseability and depends almost entirely on add-ons that are from the days of Victoria 2 & 3.  That said, given the general lack of support for Big Cat 2, Horse 2 and Dog 8, I suspect that DAZ has little interest in creating any more new animal bases at this point... except for maybe yet another dragon.

Obviously not an exact copy but just something with a similar vibe and aesthetic of cute robot with lights and glossy plastic. Maybe wings and pigtails could be included in its pro bundle? Since it'd be based off Genesis 8 then human figures could wear them too

Yea lets not go there, I'm still annoyed I bought a figure I may never use and then had to buy a separate mouse figure from him as well.

I'm still waiting to see if there will be a Gianni 8 as long as it does not look similar to any any of the existing G8M we have thus far. A David 8 sounds epic, though.

...but it is still the 15 year old Mil Cat, just with dForce fur and that no longer loads in at the size a Great Dane.  AM's would likely have improved rigging to bend and pose more like a real cat and have LAMH fur.

A cat - that's way overdo and I'd loooove it.
Then, we've had the old Caucasian couple and the old Asian couple so I think it's high time for the old African couple. 
I'd also love to finally have a male fairy and a male elve bundle and of course that Egypt male bundle.

Ashan 8 has a similar distinctive skull shape to Gianni 6, and he's buff, though African. As Giannis go, Gianni 7 was a bit of a disappointment head morph-wise, but I liked his skin.

I knew I liked Ashan 8 for a reason. My favorite G2M is Gianni 6. At least for me, I consider Dain 8 to be "Gianni 8". At least he's what I had hoped for, for a G8M Gianni; buff and chesty.

At the time it was stated that David 5, Hiro 5 and Freak 5 all sold really poorly when Genesis was introduced, so the powers that be decided not to continue the lines, completely ignoring the fact that there were a lot of other contributing reasons, with David 5 having a terrible bundle, many complaints that Freak 5 was so identical to Freak 4 as to make him an uneccessary purchase, and the beginning of the whole DAZ/Poser schism.  As for Hiro 5... okay, in that case Hiro 5 really was just actively disliked for himself, to the point that DAZ actually ended up releasing a version of the Hiro 5 Pro Bundle minus Hero, but as I recall a lot of that dislike was due to the fact that his design had gone in such a completely different direction from Aiko 5 that they no longer worked as a matched pair.

Yeah, that was one of the main complaints.  Aiko 5's design was so much more like a video game character that it came as a huge surprise when Hiro 5 turned out to be much more anime and really better matched to MallenLane's character Hitomi.  The other big issue was that there was never much anime style male product made for Genesis 1, that being a niche within a niche within a niche, so a lot of folks who wanted to do that style simply opted to keep using the H3 and H4 products with their matching Aikos.

Still would like to have some male counterpart for The Girl 8. That poor sod is sitting in my asset library waiting for a soul mate to share a scene with - or two, who knows.

I'm honestly surprised that they keep cranking out new versions of the Girl, but as only one generation ever had a "The Guy" male counterpart, and that was created by a PA, DAZ is clearly happy enough with her numbers to keep her as a solo act.

Two generations had a Guy counterpart. Guy 4 Michael 4 for Generation 4, and The Guy 7 for Genesis 7. I suppose Toon Dwayne might have been meant as a partner, but he doesn't really quite match. But yes, she apparently does well enough on her own.

I'm still sitting with this character Sakura 8 Pro Bundle | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D who' ended up without a male counterpart and thus is pretty useless.
