I really like her. This is Alexandra, no changes except she's using Super Natural brows and the eye textures are from Helena.

Ooo very pretty. Serene and elegant portrait. Like the grand dame matriarch of a Mexican aristocratic family.

You did a nice job with that! She looks great, and you did a good job with the white Boho dress, too. I like the flower in her hair.

    +1

Pretty much, yes laugh I don't have Bellatrix, but I do have Opal and she's fabulous.

@jakiblue Were you thinking of a character more along these lines: https://www.daz3d.com/bellatrix-for-genesis-2-female-s

I also love this one:  https://www.daz3d.com/opal-for-genesis-3-female

She indeed has a lot of character. Strong.

    thats spooky real

the problem now is hair and clothes have to compete with this

may you tell your render specs for this portrait ?

It can't be said enough that Fred Winkler Art and Sabby make some of the best skin textures around and the Edith character is no exception.  I was kind of weirded out at first by the eyeliner being a LIE addition, but it still looks great!  Maybe next time I render this character, I'll add in a bit of Aging Morph, but otherwise, this is one of the best skins in my library!

    It's a Render!

  • Thanks for your comments @LosingSignal glad you like our work. The LIE is done that way more to give more options, so you have more control over the final look. :D
Thanks again for your great comment and great render

Playing with Alexandra. The first picture is with her base texture, I just played with the morphs to put some meat on her. The second has Kylie texture, I think I played with her face morph a little in that one.

Over all satisfied with her, I just don't have anyone in particular I need her for, yet.

While I love FWSA products (at least 150 of them), but in terms of skin, I think Lyoness' Briallen is an outstanding representation of "experienced" skin.

Here's one of the promos as a reminder. Gues I'll need to get out of the forum and do my own render.

I did another render with the Edith skin on G8M and paired him with Alexandra 8.

Oh, wow, lovely render! The skin looks amazing on him as well! Really need to get that UV swap product!

I stopped the render at 54% because I'm having some issues with my computer running slow.

Anyway, this is a quick experment trying to get an elderly anime/cartoon-ish character. I loaded Alexandra, turned her body shape to 0% and Anzu body dhapte to 100% Head shape is 100% Alexandra and 70% Anzu. Changed the eye texture to one from Anzu, but the rest of the texture is Alexandra's base. Over all I like how well she blends to get a different style. I'm going to play with her other textures and shapes. As @cybersox state, she has a lot of interesting possibilities.

i'm a rookie..i just hit render. iray. i usually throw in a spotlight or two and a specualr from the lighting tab. this does have a tweak from NIk filters which are free ... or were. called Color Efex Pro ... it brings out the details more.

that is really great looking. Edith skin on G8M ??? where did the face fuzz come from?
An aside .. how do you get full size image in the text box?

The beard is from Tyrone for Darius 8. The image was added by pasting the URL from my full size gallery image into the URL field of the "image" box.

    thanks ..

Ah, that's how it's done. thank you! I was wondering about posting pictures in the forums as something other than an attachment, but also the facial hair. I thought the beard would onlu work with Tyrone skin texture, now I need to go play with that.

My 3D skills don't really do her justice, but I think Briallen is beautiful.

hahah Oh my goodness, you're right. Now I can't unsee that. Maybe bushier eyebrows, thinner lips, and a bit more of a smoother/youthful face. But yeah, it's really close, I think. lol Too funny.

It's the German SS Black uniform for V4 by Tannenbaum over at Rendo, minus the more obvious insignia like the armband and SS patch.

Wow... I was just going for a moderately androgynous look, but I just did a side by side and you're right.  It's a really close likeness.

Here's how Alexandra maintains her shape and balance. Of course she was a dancer for years (an homage to a friend in my yoga class). The friend is in her late 50's and has about the shape shape as Alexandra.

nice and pretty accurate too plenty of older ladies like this and look better than some of the younger generation

Since when did "mature" become a buzzword for "middle-aged" or "old"

Been around since the 90s or 00s, I think, it's not a new development.

Naw, I don't think so, but okay.  Just was wondering.

It might be a regional thing - certainly in the US in the states that I grew up in, it's always been a thing for as long as I can remember to call older people (mostly older women) "mature". :)

OK this is my first render up against the likes of "Divamakeup" and others so it's pretty lame and doesn't do Alexandra justice!

Out of the box, wanted close-up of skin and hands to see what that others had been talking about.

What's going on with eye refecltions?  They look like she has some sort of film over them.  Also, her bottom lip looks 'masked' for lack of a better word.  It's like you can see where lipstick meets facial skin only part seems a light pink & transparent if that makes any sense.

Will love this character!  But obviously have to work on better lighting for eyes

    thanks for reading!

@Tynkere "But obviously have to work on better lighting for eyes"

You can start by not having the lighting behind the character.

  • she could have had cataracts and now has false lenses like me :) we get these weird circle reflections in our eyes

  • AllenArtAllenArt Posts: 7,172

Also, most characters don't have cornea bulge on by default, which helps the eyes to pick up highlights and look more realistic. But the lighting is coming from the side and behind, so I wouldn't expect the eyes to look particularly "glisteny" ;)
