The light in the eyes looks believeable to me; it should reflect the surroundings, which it does, not shine like a mini light regardless. If it's a photoshoot style image, then having more reflection is believable too as photogrophers use lights, but looks fine.
Although it's not my style of character, Alexandra's 8 pro bundle sales combo is highly appealing. Do you guys think this is gonna be the standard for the future G8 characters to be launched?
I think DAZ will do whatever they think is necessary to sell the newest characters and the bundled Daz Original content costs them relatively little to use as freebies That said, my personal guess is that we won't see this extreme a level of sale for characters that are "sure sellers" like the latest versions of Vicki, Aiko and Teen Josie, but if it helps move the newer or more niche characters, they'll probably do it again.
I bought the bundle on day 1, but only just had the chance to install and try it out. My favourite so far is FWSA Edith - I really like her look, especially the subtle makeup options. (She's borrowed nail polish from another character though).
Well if you look at the needed 'affiliated' products you had to buy in addidition to the Alexandra Pro Bundle to get the 3 additional bundles, the Alexandra Pro Bundle is the most expensive pro bundle yet with the Monique 8 Pro Bundle being the cheapest.
I know this isn't a 'workshop' type topic, but just wanted to thank everyone for the pointers.
A stronger light in front might help. Duh!
If there's nothing much in front for the eyes to reflect but a matte gray plane then maybe that explains less than uhm... less than eye catching eyes?
So still not ready for prime time yet and posting anything to DAZ gallery, but myabe one day. : )

@Tynkere I think the added front light overpowers the other lights a bit too much. The image is a little flat now. Before, I thought it had a more natural appearance, even though it was a little dark. People aren't always in a bright front-lit environment in life. Play with balancing the lights and see if you can make it even better. This would be a good image for you to work on in the New User Challenge this month.
Overall, she looks nice. The lips look much improved in this version.
Here is Alexandra 8 relaxing in her wide leg pants outfit. I think the new Palazzo Pants in the store today look much more detailed, but I haven't purchased them yet to compare. Has anybody rendered them yet?

An absolutely beautiful character, and a great direction for Daz to take. I bought Alexandra on release, but haven't had much time to try her out because of work. Finally got some time this week to do some renders, and spent a bit of time looking for a suitable companion for her. Dylan by Raiya looked a good fit, so I've been working on a few renders with the pair of them.
Even so, you pay a little more than a Pro Bundle's price only, because buying Alexandra 8's Pro Bundle gives you discount on the add-ons, which in turn lets you take 3 G3 Pro Bundles for free... It's still a hell of a deal. If I used characters like her I would DEFINITELY get it.

Briallen HD has two Actor thumbnails that are almost identically marked. Does anyone know the difference? @Lyoness?
there are 2 identical ones in 2 different locations. Use either one, they are both the same.

It's not a mistake. Base actors can (almost) always be loaded from Genesis 8 Females /Characters/ or Genesis 8 Females / Characters / Vendor Name/ Actor (or Character Name/Actor. Same for G3 etc. Look at the actual structure in your content directory)
That is not the case in my content library. True, the folders that you reference exist, but only Genesis 8 Females /Characters/ contains the "Actor" thumbnail to load the figure. Genesis 8 Females / Characters / Vendor Name/ Actor (or Character Name/Actor contains "Shape" presets that can be applied to a previously loaded character or base. In my content library, only Lyoness puts the "Actor" in two places. None of the Daz Original characters do that. None of the other vendors I own products from do that. The Lyoness way is inconsistent with every other product I own and causes confusion, because of the two thumbnails that show up in Smart Content. That is why I assumed it was a mistake.

I will check in with the other character makers and see if there is a way to be more consistent.
I have a few products that have two thumbnails and a few that have g3 and g8 but don't say which is which so you guess and not always the same order same with textures you may say load the g8 but when you go into textures the textures for both show up and don't say so you guess and if it don't work try other but again in some things it could be #1 of that option but in other sections it could be the 2nd one not saying it's your product/s Lyoness but few others
There's not really a way to change products that are already out, but I have opened a dialogue with other character makers so that we can be more consistent in the future.
I just thought it was some sort of glitch in the system same thing where you download install a product but in the thumbnails in studio with some there is the download arrow on them via connect so sometimes your not sure if everything is fully installed sometimes it is not and you gotta reimport metadata then connect install again
