Are there how to videos for Gen X and Gen x2 anywhere? I really need a visual aide.
A video tutorial for the "Create single morph" mode showing transfer from M4 with morph injections to Genesis 2 Male has been posted earlier in this thread.
There is also a similar video tutorial for GenX1 here, which still can be used for GenX2.

I've seen the method for transfering a V4/M4 to G2 using Gen X2....but is the process the same for Genesis Characters? Because I think I'm doing it wrong. The figure I'm trying to transfer uses V4 shapes for G1. I'm just wondering if there is a process or step I'm missing considering that it's not just a straight G1 shape.
Any help would be appreciated.
Essentially, it's the same procedure if you are transferring morphs from V4 to Genesis 2 or from Genesis to Genesis 2. If the shape is originally for V4, you have to morph Genesis 2 into V4 shape first to get the correct shape, no matter if you transfer the morph directly or with Genesis in between. At which step do you get problems?
I have a really crazy question...I can't find GenX2 on Daz 4.6! At all!

Wait...I found it. I can give a Genesis 2 female Victoria 4 attributes, but I don't know where the Transfer tab is at.
Window > Panes > GenX
if it's not listed there, you might need to enter your serial number (you can find it in the serial numbers section of the my account section of the daz store) in Help > About Installed Plugins.
The Transfer tab is the one that is initially shown in GenX.
...ach, so finally was able to scrape up some extra funds to purchase the update. The only issue, when I went to my cart, I discovered I am being charged the full retail price of 37.95$ with no discount for having the previous version. Was that only a limited time offer during March Madness?
I just got this today and was charged full price, even though I purchased the original genx, is there any way to get that discount now ? even if it's a refund in store credit ?
Also Freak 5 is not showing up when I select Genesis as the source, is this normal ? M5 and V5 are showing ok.

I haven't see a 66% off for upgrade after the intro sale ended, so it might be the coupon disappeared. I will request DAZ to put it back, at least from my side it was intended to last longer. If you purchased at full price while being eligible for the upgrade coupon, please contact DAZ support about this.

What you have to do is create the figure in Poser and save as a CR2, then in Daz Studio you will then have to have the M4 and V4 Shapes for Genesis 1 and if using Genesis 2 the M4 & V4 shapes and plus the G1&G2; morph sets (I think) and then drag the CR2 into Gen X2 and doing all the transferring and lots more from there, there is a lot of fun to be had.. It can be a time consuming process especially getting the Genesis or Genesis 2 figure to match the the original V4 / M4 one..
But once you do get into the swing of things the transfer process goes a lot faster..
...I haven't made the purchase yet as finances are really tight so I'll sit tight & see if Daz fixes things tomorrow. The Coupon is still good until the end of the day (I believe - it says expires 04/21). Rebates from Daz on pricing differences are usually only in the form of Store Credit which does me little good in my current situation. Aa I am unemployed with no steady income at the moment that 25$ savings is more valuable in cash than credit for me.
Yes, this should work. I haven't tested that particular morph, but GenX may transfer any M4 and V4 morphs to Genesis. If you use Genesis in Poser with DSON Importer or CR2 Export, it will include all morphs transferred with GenX.
Not sure if this is the place to add this or not; but, I've been trying to buy Gen X2 and am running into a snag. The product page states there's a 66% coupon applied to at checkout to Gen X owners since there is no upgrade. I'm a Gen X owner and am still getting full price right up to the point where I have to enter my payment info. I gladly spent $31 buying it the first time around but surely don't want to put out another $39 just to upgrade.
I'm sorry, the 66% off upgrade coupon for GenX2 seems to be not available at the moment. I already requested from DAZ to bring it back because it was not intended to be limited to such a short time. I hope it will be back as soon as possible, but it is up to DAZ to set it up in the store. Please be patient, I will post here in the forum as soon as the coupon is available again.
...any progress on getting the discount for previous owners fixed? Still showing at the full 37.95$ price all the way up to submitting the order.

Guess it was just bad timing for me as I had no extra funds during MM (the only things I picked up all month were the freebies and one under 6$ item with my PC coupon).
Of course I also need to get the GenX2 Add On for G2 (which is also on the wishlist) to transfer the legacy and Genesis morphs/characters to G2 as well.
Dimension 3D -- I have been using GenX since Gen 1, and I love it! I've got A3 and H3 Shapes for Genesis, as well as V3 and M3 Shapes for Genesis. Do you know if it's possible to use the clone shapes in there for G2F? Thanks.
EDIT: I guess a better way of framing my question would be -- is there a way to get Autofit clones for A3, H3, V3 and M3 for G2F, given what I currently have?

You could always convert the clothing on genesis, save it out, then convert them to genesis 2. Saving that then will keep the file size of your scene files small as well.
Has anyone ran into the "eye fix" problem with converting a Thorne/Sarsa character like Salome or Mila, and getting the bug eyes? (see pic) Steps I've taken is to load A3 figure, apply Mila pose, also apply the Eye fix (which seems to change the values on just two things, Cornea bulge and Iris big, so I check them) and then transfer. Unfortunately, I get bug eyes still :(
Anyone overcome this?
If I understand right you want to use A3 cloth on G2F using autofit. I made an autofit clone using the A3 morph I transfered using GenX2.
On this quick render of G2F I used the sailor skirt and top from A3 and the A3 Amarseda hair.
I do have the same problem with Mila but not with Sylfie. Interested in a way to fix it too.
Yea, Sylfie doesn't use that eyefix, as far as I can tell. Salome, Mila and Mulberry do, I believe. Maybe Pazu...haven't checked. Wonder if D3D has any of these and may have tried 'em?
Is there a tutorial/walk through for transferring expressions from Genesis to Gen2? I've managed V4 to G2F, but trying to transfer an expression from Genesis to G2 always gives me a dead slider. Clearly I'm missing something, but I can't figure it out.
(edit - to clarify, I'm talking about transferring morphs that come as sliders.)
