    Bah!

They run this sale on DragonCon weekend when I'm going to be gone most of the day for the next 4 days so I'll probably miss any of those artists.

I have a ton of stuff on my wishlist and I always go through and look to see if any of it is on sale. With this format even if the PA in question is on sale the wishlist won't show it because you have to have it in the cart with something else to get the sale price. To me it looks like those items aren't on sale so I won't be buying.

Unless they do like they've done in the past and put everything back on sale at the end of the month the probability that I'll find 3 items on the same day is fairly slim - especially this weekend as I've said - so even less chance that I'll buy.

Off to see some Dragons - or at least some strangely dressed humans - happy Friday all.

i'm going to wait and hope for a ketchup day.

watch out for the hungry dragons :)

...still going to try and make the best of this. Ended up not doing that badly in MM, and if they follow the pattern, there will be a Kvetchup sale at the end.

Maybe it's my Capricorn side of me that accepts this is the way things will be.

I just wish they'd fix the Forums login as I am getting very weary of having to sign in every so often and then be misdirected to my stupid account page instead of back to the thread.

People have less throw-away money than in previous years, so they make the sale less desirable. Makes sense. Somewhere.

...you'd think it would be the other way around, for less people buying your product/services usually makes it harder to meet the "hallowed" bottom line.

...but then, no one ever said business was logical.

    ...Labour Day, meh.

Been out of work since March. Here, it seems all they want to hire is young professionals and hipsters fresh out of college rather than anyone with any real life experience.

If I could afford to retire, I would. Right now SSI will barely even cover my rent. Have to wait (work) another eleven years for it to at least meet all my basic living expenses (if it is still around by then).

Even if I could get the highest amount on my account, it wouldn't even cover my mortgage payment. And I can't get that anyway, since the full amount is at 77 I think...and I'm only 59. I can't get any of it.

Yeah, they'll find out how much training the new hires need. I saw 32 years of cycles where the company would hire business or other recent graduates with no experience, find out they require too much training after much wasted time and money down the drain and give them the boot; then the company would promote from within for a couple of years.
Then new management would come in and the process would start all over again. :blank:

Have to make a party/formal/opening/ after party background action type scene and imagining what stereotypes you might expect to see in an average boozy crowd? Like kissing couple, crying baby, trios of drunks, important guy harassed by mum, sleepy guy...
