My car died on me yesterday but I don't know how or why.
I want my car back running and ready for me to go places.

what kind of noise does it make when you try to start it?
could be a dead battery, alternator.
do you have someone could give your battery a jump?

when was the last time you had a oil change and tune up?

in case anyone wants an update on my hard drive:

I ran SeaTools diagnostics on the drive. The drive falled most of the tests. Speedfan gave me a read failure. Benchmarks found slow blocks near the file system. Microsoft chkdsk found 24 KB of bad blocks. The rear of file system (MFT) is on the bad blocks. Some new files were corrupted. SMART says that the drive has 16 reallocated sectors, 1 current pending sector, 1 uncorrectable sector and 3 ultraDMA error count. When I just ran the diagnostics two months ago, I did not find any errors except for 6 reallocated sectors.

I was wondering why TLDmake ran slowly on complex scenes. Even autofit in Daz Studio 4 ran slowly. The hard drive is slow because the drive is going bad.

Time to go shopping for a new hard drive. :)

Get a SATA drive! Tiny cables mean more airflow inside the box. Of course, you might need to get a SATA card if you don't have support for that yet.

My motherboard is old because it has both IDE and SATA ports. The DVD drive is connected to the IDE cable. My computer only has two SATA ports though. I might buy a SATA card if I want more than two SATA drives. I might buy a USB 3.0 card too.

I'm going to watch some more tutorials for Bryce and Hexagon now. Bye

You know I understand the frustration people experience getting logged out of the forums and the store all of the time but to put it in perspective I get logged out of Google all the time even when I'm in the middle of doing something.

I was just on Google+ and was switching from showing just one of my circles to showing all of them and I got a blank page telling me that I had reached the end and to add more friends. Went back to my circle of gamer friends and it was fine but going back to all got me the same error. Forced a reload on the page and it forced me to login to Google again. Apparently I got logged out in the middle of switching tabs.

Question... Do I need M4 V4 installed to use auto fit with clothing?

On Genesis? Just the Iconic Gen 4 Shapes for Genesis to get a good fit on their clothing, if I'm understanding your question.

No, unlike the gen 3 sahpes the Gen 4 shapes are not required for AutoFit support (or UV sets) - they are purely the user-settable morphs. Genesis includes the Gen 4 UVs and clone shapes as it comes.
Richard, you are correct. The Genesis Starter Essentials package doesn't include any of the Morph shapes for Generation 4 figures (M4, V4, F4, H4, A4 which must be bought separately to use with Genesis) just the Basic Male and Female, however. That was what I was thinking of, sorry..

Ah cool. I assume the actual figures M4 and V4 arent needed for Auto fit to work for genesis... This time around I decided I wouldn't install Gen 4 figures, as simply I just don't use them anymore. If they are indeed needed then I'll install them of course.
Spyro, are you talking about the separate M4 and V4 figures? Or the Morph shapes for Genesis? That's where I'm getting confuzzled.

OK, update on my first model in years (remember that?) in Wings3D.
I finished the rest of the parts for the Jack-In-The-Box model that is meant for use as a character display stand - the lid and crank.
Now I have to make the UVs for the new parts, and bring them into DS. That I can do, as I did for the main box.

Up next, some things I haven't tried before.
    1. rig the lid to swivel open and closed on the hinge
    2. rig the crank to rotate 360 degrees.
That should be fun with lots of swearing and pulling out of hair.

    Then (hopefully):
Saving as an asset (.duf?) and packaging it so I can put it up on ShareCG as a freebie. :)

This will all take a while as I am quite lazy. ;-)

And to think, this all started because I was looking for a freebie JITB model and couldn't find one I liked that was free, LOL.

Yep the standalone Michael4 and Victoria4 ... I wasn't sure if Autofit required them to exist in the runtime to work.

Non complaint: DS is almost Up and running again with its U-bute fresh and organized runtime.

Complaint: RO was a pain without DIM. And Now I got to work out HOW to fix my Partially-existing Twin dagger props. The shader info is locked in backed up scene files, the prop itself doesn't exist, but its textures/PSD files are saved and not lost, however, the mat files are no-more. eh... rattle my brain. Oh and the original OBJ file is fine! (thats always separate from DS runtime)

    If anyone's good at puzzles...

This one has majorly been stumping me ><</p>

The point is to move the boulders and blocks so that the green blocks join with each other (And thus disappear Tetris style) and the blue ones do the same - but the catch is I only have seven moves to do that, once I hit seven it resets the puzzle. If I solve it in exactly seven steps it doesn't reset and counts as solved.

Nothing I can think of will get it done in seven steps. I can get the green one done in 4 steps, but then I have only three to get the two blue ones connected - and it takes more than three moves to get them there. I can't think of anyway to get the blue ones first, and joining them in BGB fashion - two blues with a green in the middle - won't work.

Second screenshot is after using up all my attempts. I move the boulder and it fails the puzzle, but I could move the blue blocks together to solve it if I still had a move left.

    So I'm stumped =/

Counted as seven but still solved it.

I was tearing my hair out over this one xD

http://www.youtube.com/user/Blossomsoft/videos had videos solving most of the block puzzles in the game (Including a few I was VERY frustrated with but eventually solved) but apparently these were not included :P
