    Found a trailer on Rotten Tomatoes site.

    It looks like SyFy helped produce it and I hate to say it but from the little I saw of it the older movie looked better than this new one. Seems kind of cheesy compared to modern special effects movies.

    Yeah, I was thinking of the original 1984 version with Patrick Stewart and Sting. (IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087182/). They apparently did a TV mini-series back in 2000 and it looks like that was the trailer that Rotten Tomatoes had for Dune 2014.

    I picked up a book on Unity 4 a couple of nights ago and have been flipping through it. Is pretty interesting and it's nice to be able to recognize a lot of the terms and stuff before hand since I've dabbled in 3D already ^_^
    Though I don't really see myself doing much with it... Was mostly a curiosity anyway :)
    ...Though I did learn recently that Unity just got some 2D game capabilities, so having to model and rig and animate dozens of stuff might not be needed now :D (Which has always been the major thing keeping me from getting into Unity and other 3D engines - is the "Making your own stuff" aspect of it is only about 600 times harder than in 2D stuff like GameMaker and RPGMaker xD)

    Progress Report:
    UVs complete, texturing is all DS default plastic and metal shaders with my UVs, all images are my own renders, objects were modeled by me in Wings3D, so I can share the final product without infringement.
    Now can anyone point me to a good (free) resource tutorial for simple rigging in DAZ Studio? I want to rotate the lid on a hinge, and spin the crank on an axis.
    In case anyone thinks my clowns are too scary, here's a photo of the same model Mattel Jack-In-The-Box toy that I had when I was 4-6 yo. Now those are some scary clowns. :ahhh: :lol:
    I hope to have this up on ShareCG by Halloween.

    ETA: I purposely tried not to duplicate the design by modelling it from memory, hence the differences in the hinges, etc.
    And again this is meant as a display base for characters, like unflatable ponies for example. :)
