She's cheering to my fave song, in fact, the theme song I use I chat (where I am Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered serpent)...
"Cold Hearted Snake" :snake: :snake: :snake:
IDL render will finish .. Sunday.. :-S

"Crawlin' Kingsnake" by John Lee Hooker. ;-)
Just tested and I run into the same thing. This was rendered using Predatron's Sunset light set and came out fine. Using the IDL version of Sunset and it crashes rendering the hair. I tried applying UberSurface to the hair and turning off Raytracing and Occlusion but it crashed in the same place with IDL.
I'll have to make sure task manager is up and monitor memory if I try it again just to see if maybe it's running out of memory for some reason. That will have to wait until tomorrow though, time for bed now.
Ok, not just me. I wonder if it's a hair-and-IDL random bug since mine worked the second time.. ut I hadn't applied a material, either! :bug:
Going to try that next.
...ran into a similar issue with the Mentha Piperata hair. While it didn't crash on my new system, it still was taking forever to the point of appearing that the process had stalled when using an IDL light set. When I turned off the raytracing, then it rendered fine and in a much more reasonable amount of time. Of course that was due to the fact it was loaded with transmaps. Don't know how they expected it to render back in the 32 bit days before we could turn raytracing off.
...cute.
Have to get that hair for Leela.
..G2F/Growing Up Tracey Elf Drop.
Thought you said a nasty rash oh dear
Front, back, sides, male, female AND goats ;-).
is there another reason why the show is so popular? :)
from the pics it looks lotr-ish
Is like Lexx with dragons and togas :)
Hey nice :)
If you do a layer at a time you should be fine :)
I'm a lightweight.. :red: All I have is (in order of frequency of use):
- DS 4.6
- Carrara 8
- Bryce 7 Pro
- Hexagon
I keep thinking of Lightwave, but not until I have a Core i7 system. I could skip it if DS had particle effects...
Another night installing, eating, having beer, and rendering! Gril 6 drop coming before I go to bed!
I'm much more more boring, Lightwave, Painter and Poser. LW gives you compositing as well, use that a fair bit :) GIT and GIMP from command line., just looking at this compys toolbar most other stuff is from Apple. Oh couldn't write a script without JEdit. Boring is good :)

broke the belt on my hoover last night. ahh fahh nahh bul
did my cleaning chores last night so i could focus 100% on learning the animation tools this w/e.
i'm hoping, hoping hoping, fingers crossed, toes crossed, wiggle wiggle, hmm, can't actually cross my toes, but hoping the graph tool can fix the walk designer walks.
am i setting up for disappointment?
not sure how to organize the cameras. sometimes poser is quirky when rendering from 'not the main' camera.
supposedly there is a python script with poser that will parent infinity lights.
thinking of, not tested, putting a """ guide prop """ under the floor, and parenting the camera and lights to it.
it just sucks that dyn simulations have to be recalced. haz to keep in mind morphs move linear.
Have it on DVD :)
Awwww, how sweet!
Thought you said a nasty rash oh dear
Well, sometimes rendering makes me itchy and twitchy! :gulp:
what kind of music does Aiko like to dance to?

I own a copy of that - found it on Amazon MP3 store. I'm a huge snake fan, and I have a lot of snake songs! :cheese:

I'll check into turning raytracing off.. haven't dinked with that. But dang, now I feel a real need for that Haswell i7 laptop.
J-Pop, of course! %-P

Friday! Bank run late afternoon, then fried chicken, add to the prepaid card, then go home, render, and drink beer!
Hair cut this weekend, and.. clothes shopping. :blank: Need socks an undies. :red:
Maybe rain this weekend - we need it! :bug: One damp loach, maybe.
Back to researching power management... urgh.
Well, we're checking out by noon, so this will be my last visit in here until late tonight or tomorrow morning.
Dana
Ok - we'll see you then. Stay safe! :)
