I've been playing with the new AoA Advanced Ambient Lights. Tons of fun and lots of test renders but nothing to show yet. But they are awesome.

would love to do the same, however all these bluescreen and GPU issues are really becoming a pain.

Morning. A bit of spring came back with the morning sun, blue sky and warm outside, bushfire alerts on the radio all morning :>)

    Walk cautiously!

Heat after a lot of rain usually means new vegetation gets tinder dry real quick :>)

...went out and enjoyed the last nice day we probably will have until next spring. 74° for the high today. Nice for many that it occurred on a weekend. Tomorrow baco to the 50s and rain again, and pretty much the same for the rest of the week.

Looks like our turn to get some sun. "Sposed to be the hottest winter on record here this year, didn't feel like that most of the time :>)

...I have to win the Megabucks Lotto so I can leave the rain behind and come down there for the next six months.

Uncle Arthur has invaded my leg bones now and it is becoming really painful just to move around.

A default terraced terrain, with one World Machine 'Channeled' erosion filter...

Yeah. It makes nice eroded stuff real easy :D

    it is raining hard outside

here is a render of Mylin V4. Her face looks washed out because I forgot to load her materials for Daz Studio.

edit: i'm going to file some bug reports before I forget. Some old products are missing textures and Daz Studio materials. Yes, I even checked the readme documentation.

    Nice pics everybody!

Someday I have to try to do something with Carrara Pro 7. It's scary to me, though. I'll have to find some tutorials and follow them. Otherwise I just open it up, look around, get frustrated and overwhelmed and intimidated, and close it. :red:

i bought Carrara 7 express for $29. It loads most of my runtime library except for the newer Genesis items. Also Carrara 7 cannot drape Daz dynamic cloth. I think my computer is too slow to load Stoney Creek. Apparently, Stoeny Creek has lots of polygons or many transparencies. I need to get ready for lunch. later

...I still am having issues getting Carrara to see all the Carrara content I have. I installed it all to the Carrara 8.5 folder but none of it (save for the Native Content) shows up in the Carrara Content library.

...there was a Terrain design programme I found several years ago which worked with Bryce that added weathering, erosion (wind and water) effects. I only was able to work with the demo since it was a European company that required PayPal (which rejected my application on a ridiculous technicality) for North American customers.

was rendering a test render... sometimes the render view port loads as an image of noise, sometimes very colourful, sometimes not... other times its just blank, and sometimes it displays your last render either as is or distorted... this time however, I got a pattern LOL no idea where it came from, but was interesting haha!
