Complaint: zBrush is like $800. Dunno why I'm surprised though, but is outside of my price range for the moment. Don't foresee me being able to use it even if I did purchase it - Vue and Cinema aren't getting much use =/

Complaint: Still several versions behind in Cinema 4D (Which has some decent sculpting but only at Studio level). Above complaint afterthought merged into this one: 'What would it even matter if I upgraded?' It'd just sit there wasting its potential like everything else.

Minor-Complaint: Dunno how to work Blender at all, but a friend of mine who uses it extensively is willing to help me.

    Minor-Complaint: Sushi all gone :<

Minor Non-Complaint: Got another friend of mine hooked on Heroes of Might & Magic 3 :)

Sometimes I feel like giving up on the 3D hobby field. Is just a fancy way to throw money away but not get anything out of it.

We bought zbrush and have free upgrade for life. We payed a pretty penny for the upgrade on the current C4D. We are currently pricing 3DSMax and trying to get it

I think I don't qualify for any decent upgrade price on C4D now since I'm two full versions behind :(

Might just look into the MSA since it'd be a lot cheaper...

...nah, for me it was the bot's played hooky again.

Besides, I'm playing with AoA's Advanced Ambeint Light and new Advanced Spotlight.

...and taking a few hours off to go out and enjoy the rare late October sunshine and unseasonably warm temps we've been experiencing here.

..without 3D CG, I'd have no creative outlet.unless I wanted to rot my stomach out with NSAIDS so Ican deal with Uncle Arthur (who has now taken up residence in my bones as well as my joints) just to hold a pencil or brush steady for more than five minutes at a time. Heck I'm not even sure i can hold down a normal job anymore when it takes 30 min to nearly an hour just to get my hips to pop into place so I can get out of bed.

Don't mind it so much around Yuletide (and even then that's rare around here) but before Halloween, no.

the m4 ultra light resource is gonna take more than a smudge tool to fix it up. >.< i'm liking the weathered look more. sighhh

the m4 living doll resource is better starter. experimenting with blending the tatt with his skin. ... might be too bright?

    skin is way too smooth.

They probably upped the price around the time or some time after doing away with the trial/demo version. I remember it being in the $640 range, now it's very very close to $800. *shrugs*

I just looked out my window and there's frost on my car! Diane said there was frost on our Serrano Chili Pepper plant outside this morning. I guess the peppers will have to be cut off. They haven't turned red yet. I hope they will after they're inside. Some fruits and veggies ripen if left out, especially if on a window sill to get some sun. I was hoping they'd turn red on the plant.

I was out since 3:00 this afternoon and didn't get back home until almost 9:00 pm! I ate my SuperSteak sub from Papa Gino's and watched TV. The Red Sox lost game two. :blank: But it's only game two.

I can't run Sculptris on my laptop though :(
I mean, I can install it and run it just fine, but as soon as I open it the interface and viewports screw up. It's hard to explain... It kind of looks like windows explorer when the computer is freezing up or is using a ton of resources.

Let's say I have only my desktop wallpaper and some icons shown, with a quarter of the Recycle Bin window shown in the lower left corner. Now I open Sculptris and the toolbars and menus are visible, but I can still see a frozen version of my desktop where the viewport 'should' be. If I alt-tab out and open more windows or make any changes and then alt-tab back into Sculptris, the viewport again reflects that. I can't see anything in the menus or see what's going on in the viewport at all.

SketchUp acts the same way =/
They're both unusable on my laptop, but Sculptris worked just fine on my desktop...

ZBrush updates have been free so far, but they haven't promised that for life - in fact I recall there being a suggestion that while 5 would probably be free, subsequent updates might not be (around Siggraph time, I think).

I shall share my hot fantasy that I dream about alone
he is many things throughout time and space pirate, intergalactic merchant trader, blacksmith, viking, warrior or Glam 80's RockGod as pictured
based in my dreams on Brian Connolly, Bret Michaels, Axl Rose, Jon bon Jovi, and countless others I have worshiped in my crushes through out the years.
his name is Topaz Blue Azure and I finally found a Daz dolly morph at Rendo to bring him to life!
