Paul, thanks for the latest Jade installment, i'll be off to read in a bit. ;)

Madison, that flashlight looks very handy, i'm going to grab that after I posted as well.

Rick, damn fine job on the JJ-verse/TNG cross-over bridge and the shuttlebay would be a nice thing to have too.

can someone please help e with this ,

what is the difference between embedded geometry and surface geometry and how do you change embedded to surface using hexagon

Surface geometry? Embedded geometry is when the geometry (the OBJ file, in effect) is part of a cr2 or, more usually, a pp2 or hr2 file - the opposite is external geometry, when the OBJ file is (usually) in Geometries and the library files just has a link to that - it's pretty simple to do, with a text editor, but rather than risk mangling it I'll just say do a search for Poser external geometry

Don't know in Hex (never able to make the program run without crashing after loading any thing in it) but for a PP2 I use Geometry Stripper (Windows Application) it's a freebie and you can get it here http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/freeitemdetail.asp?FreeItemID=421

I kinda thought the same thing too , however it isn't just a rip off of madisons work... they swap the sexes of the entire jj verse bridge crew .
it should be interesting as far as alternate universe timeline stories go ,,, if you are into that sort of thing that is.

Swapping out the gender of everyone basically changes nothing. It keeps all the relationships pretty much the same. Where as changing only one- like I did- alters the relationships with everyone else and creates something new. I've told my comic shop lady I wanted this story, so we'll see what they came up with.

as offered; Comic Life 3 example.

The controls are a bit sluggish for editing text once you move onto a new balloon and come back, but linking multiple balloons looks better and controls better. Standardized fonts for the template took a while to figure out. I used a provided font with the program set at 9 pitch.

The balloons can be morphed from rounded to more square while adding each balloon or set as a standard if you like. changing all the fonts and centering is easy, took 3 steps.

export to an image...well that's gonna take some getting used to, but it will export directly to a PDF, Epub, or even CBR (comic book reader)..nice!

this as you can see is page 8 (BTW...of 99 pages). I'm on 52 right now, so this page may change in the future.

For me CBL 2 had issues with word spacing for some reason. I could type into the ballons and would have this insane double almost triple spacing between words no matter which font I used. So I went back and used CBL 1. I even contacted the maker of the software and they were clueless as to what was causing the issue. Sent a test file to them and everything. I'm hoping CBL 3 solved that issue.

I like this a lot. Nice work. The only thing I'd suggest is the chairs to the sides of the captains chairs could be beefed up or given a small terminal in front of them (maybe like the stenographer in "Court Martial" had) or something like that so they seem more a permanent feature of the space.

That's the plan, using some of Mdbruffy's free console pieces. The blue chairs are currently placeholders.

    Can someone help me?

For my comics, I want to make a Galaxy Class USS Red Dwarf, and be able to put it on the ship, so far I can only make this. If anyone could help with making legit looking TNG decals (names and numbers) for the Galaxy Class model, please PM me.

    Thanks for any help :D

There is a WHOLE list of links to things at the start of each updated thread. There is a link, that has fonts that will help. There is also a search feature. You should use it.
Also there are fonts, which you can use in photoshop, which you can layer onto the scene, or onto the model if you have CS5 or better.

You should try and look for yourself, before asking others to do your homework for you, as they are there..
