It's all I work with. for that image all I used was One direct light, one direct light set as specular lighting and a Uber-environmental light.

    and now with a toon.

While Goggling the web for another project, I came across a website which displayed the following Com Badge design..

This is the Star Trek Future's End/Relativity (Circa 2800s) Combadge... I created it for Poser.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Based on what I've learned with my first STO Texture set for the Body suit, I've created a second set, STO2.

Shown in the middle is the "default" image, and the other ones show the "variants" of the same suit with alternative Turtleneck, Torso, and Arm options.

Each still has the Trans map in the turtle neck zone for an "open neck"

The concept is to create an fully customized set for different missions a crew may be expected to encounter, Normal uniform, work suits, away team suits, etc.

The colors to be supported will be: Olive, Black (Section 31), Red, Mustard, Blue, Lt Blue, Teal, White, and Green. So 9 different uniforms with roughly 7 variants will give you roughly 63 unique looks.

The default uniform is wearing a new "Marine" combadge. (Looks much better on a different colored uniform)

The STO2 Dress Whites.....this is for a Marine.

I was trying to create a Marine Combadge and it looks too like it'll only be appropriate with dress whites.

    Comments welcome..

I really like this uniform, it has a great transitional look to it. It looks like it is the uniform between the TNG and the one you just made. I also like the fact that you have chosen to add Marines back into Starfleet.

Now before everyone jumps up and yells that Starfleet is all about peaceful exploration and that a Military branch like the Marines is out of place in Starfleet give me a minute. Peaceful exploration is not peaceful otherwise they never would have armed deep space vessels or named them after types of warships (Destroyers, Cruisers, Battleships .. ect.) Starfleet even has a military hierarchy and structure so having Marines on board star ships seems like a sound and logical choice.

I wouldn't worry about that I have several myself and it lets me use them to show possible ship designs of a Trek nature and with him using the LCARS panels it gives me a step up and I generally only have to change a few textures to make it look like the class of ship i want it to be. I have a huge collection of 3-D-C sets and they are first rate and well worth the funds to collect them.

Yes sir, I'm working on V4 right now. Here's an image showing some of the variations with the Sleeveless bodysuit, leotard, and body suit.

You're correct, Starfleet is a multi-function force. My all time favorite episode for Star Trek was "Balance of Terror" which demonstrates Starfleet's military mission.

With Star Trek Online, each Captain has the option of choosing the "uniform" for his command. The only time Marines have been hinted at are in Star Trek games (RPGs, board games, and computer games). And ST:Enterprise used MACOs which are the forerunner to Marines. As Starships all need to have an elite fight force onboard, the problem is there are simply not enough marines to go around, hence the formation of "Hazard" teams. If the mission is dire, then they send in the Marines.

I include the Marines and section 31 only because this is what STO had. The final choice to use the Marines and Section 31 is always up to you guys. But it's there if you want it.

With the addition of Dress Whites (I loathe the TNG formal dress "dress" shown in the first year), you looking at an additional almost 9 more options.

I am really loving your new designs for these suits and can’t wait for the next set! I tinkered with your set a bit and came up with this.
These suits are looking better and better with each set! I played around with your current set and this is what I have ended up with. I call it ‘Welcome to Sickbay’

STO2 Dress whites... and white gloves. I tried with white pants but it looked like the ice cream man so I junked it.

    Comments welcomed.

If this doesn't really look sharp enough for dress whites, let me know.

The only thing that I think I would change would be to make the stripes around their shoulders gold instead of that brown color. I think that would enhance the look that it is a dress uniform. Other than that I think it looks good. the white gloves are a nice touch.

Those were the divisional mats which I really don't need,. I took your feedback and made is Gold by default.

I wonder if a gold sash/belt would be cool. Perfect for VIP gatherings, Diplomatic event, etc.

I like the gold stripes and the sash/cummerbund it makes the uniform look more complete. The sash / cummerbund adds that little bit of flair and pomp to the dress uniform to make it stand out.

Here are the latest dress whites (with optional sash for high formals and ceremonials), along with my latest Combadge (based loosely on the STO game). The sash for M4 is the from the tabbard from Valiant, V4 will use Courageous.

The medals shown on the default STO2 uniform for a semi-dress uniform, perfect for meeting boarding dignitaries and Starfleet events (court martials, board of inquiries, meetings at SFHQ, etc.).

I also wanted to create some medals (TOS style) as I don't see any out there. Material zones for customization for each medal, choices of 1, 2 3, 5 ,7 medals per grouping. So far I think this'll work. I'll definitely want to post these with the STO2 set.

    Comments wanted.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the 1701-A ? The one time I need her, I can't find one. All I can find is the refit. Any other time, I'd be stumbling over them.
