I'm curious to see how long it takes my wife to notice I replaced her bronze statue of Vishnu with this.

Also... if I never post again after this... have the authorities look for my body within twenty feet of my house... I don't see her dragging me much further than that...

...one of the other kitchen Items I plan to get whenever I get my payment. Looking at a slightly smaller one as it is getting difficult to chop/mince veggies and such by hand.  At least the Target downtown is still open as they have a CVS pharmacy in the store store.

..ugh next door neighbours are gone and left their dog behind which is barking, whining, howling, yipeing up a storm once again.  Planned to take my usual mid day nap, particularly as I had to get up extra early for the seniors shopping hours at the local market, but that is off.  The last time I left a note on their door they put one up in reply saying they're training it not bark, and to give them some slack. However they keep leaving the poor thing alone locked up in the flat like this for hours which is only making the situation worse (particularly after we had that fire earlier this week - the hallways still reek of the smell and a dog's nose is much more sensitive than ours).

Unfortunately unable to go down to the office to file another complaint as they are not taking walk ins, and even then, appointments are only for important situations.  Were it not that everything was shut down I'd go to a coffee shop, but those are only doing take out and it's a cloudy chilly day today with a threat of rain, so no sitting outside..

Can't you just call them and place a complaint? I had a similar experience last year, the neighbor across the walk and the floor below had 2 dogs that barked and whined all day while she was at work and since my days off are usually week days, I had to hear it. So i called the office and complained and they sent her a letter. Then she wrote a note and placed it on all the other neighbors doors about how they were her babies and didn't know any better, blah, blah, blah. I wrote another note for her saying either get a muzzle or move out and called the office again. 1 week later I stopped hearing them. I try my best to be considerate of others with noise, but if others are not, I have no problem saying something

...I did call, and the manager left forms for me in the mailroom so I was able to fill them out and slip them into the office mail slot. She did mention that she and other staff members already followed up on earlier complaints (not just mine) and didn't sound too pleased it was happening again.

    ...I agree.

On the building's Net page it mentions the only pets allowed are cats, not dogs (not even the tiny hyper yappy ones).  However most likely it is due to the relaxation of rules that determine the definition of "service animal". The dog in question is medium sized and I've seen several others of that size same and or larger, including a "police dog" Shepard . These flats are not that large, and being in the city centre dogs have to be walked somewhere so they can move about and of course "do their duty".  It was something like 6 hours that the poor thing was alone whining, howling, and barking and at some point, it likely would have needed to relieve itself.

Arghhh, yappy dogs.angry  I've lots to say about tiny, yappy, slobbery dogs, but this is a family forum.  Actually in my later years, I've become adverse to the whole idea of pets in general.  UNLESS, you live in on a large property in the country and can provide room to range and know how to actually train the animal, to behave.   Even here, where I live in this tiny lcountry town it is distressing.  Just down the street is a big, untrained, probably retarded dog tied up outside on a useless "run" wire in bad weather and good and it barks and lunges at anything that moves within 100 feet of it.  And just a block away on my three block trip to the grocery store is a house with a couple of yappers that raise holy hell when I walk past the house, and I'm afraid will someday be loose and I'll have to kick them out of my way.

If you ask me, it's not the dogs that need licenses, it's the people who own the dogs.
