Just to clarify, the Old Jeb character doesn't require the Holt 8 base. Holt is listed as a required character, but that is an error.

Wasn't sure I'd have a use for him before, but now that I'm actually getting into the Western theme, I definitely do have a use for him.
Clarity appears to have arrived. I left the Holt HD Add-on in the cart overnight with the two bundles. Last night, it was at full sale price; this morning it's free in the cart.
I ended up buying only Holt himself and Eli, but now when I went to install him (via Daz Connect/smart content tab only) Holt is simply unusuable (see screenshot) I'm about to write a ticket too, but figure I should check if anyone else also have this problem?
Oh and I should add, I have tried to uninstall and re-install Holt, but that didn't work

I'm a little lukewarm on his sculpt... I mean, he's fine, just not a stunner.
He reminds me of Owen 8 somehow. Comparing them side by side, they don't actually look all that similar... but still, somehow Holt's face keeps making me think of Owen.

Under $40 for both bundles and free HD Holt with purple banners and store credit. Not a bad deal. Waiting for everything to settle down before I push the button
Just ignore the files in "Lost and Found". Somebody messed up and those are files from the Data folder and shouldn't be displaying (this wasn't the only product doing this). The files in the Figures and Materials categories should appear as normal of you click on them.
Edit: If you click on the Figures and/or Materials and those files don't work either, then you many want to file a problem ticket. When I was installing early this morning and initially ran into this issue, I do my work-around and download the DIM installer and overwrite the files in the data/cloud folder not realizing those were files from the normally hidden Data folder. The files in the Figures and Materials folders may or many not have been working before I did my work-around.
yeah i feel that was the issue when you look at the "promo images" overal or the main page sales, just sell it as a "regular western" with at best some steampunk material, your monster looks a lot "random" in the "whole picture", i'm not saying which the creature is bad or something like that, just as you told the "promotional images don't proper sold it as "part of the bundles", making it's really looking "weird and random" and not proper part of the "stufffs", again the creature itself look's cool and maybe i would buy it if i needed a monster" it's just the way things were presented make it don't feel like part of the stuffs, the "daz promotion" stuffs must make a proper work and maybe also PA artists when selected for a "new promo" would be good to have some "talk between to make sure they stuffs work well together like having proper renders images to make "sense".
well good work in general with the monster the only issue was really a poor management of how to proper sell the theme of the packs.
I like both bundles but will only eventually wind up someday buying in order of preference: Banker's Outfit, Banker's Outfit Textures, Western Accessories, Western Guns, Fire Warden. Of course the cost of all those seperately means I'd probably just buy the Weird West Bundle & the Western Guns instead.

I also bought both bundles and had to work before I could look at them in Daz Studio. I have all of those items, but no thumbnails at all for them. And eleven products ended up in Lost and Found in Smart Content.
Yeah, none of the files work at all. I already sent a ticket now I just have to wait for it to be fixed :)
Yep, and there's the HD I'll use with Base Holt, lol. Can really see why the DO one is free with those images, as well as why they didn't get included. Is that HD envy? I could tell he had a good level of HD included. I still don't understand why normal PAs can include such superior HD levels than the $40 Daz ones. If you bought a Base character and the HD add on you could get a handfull of PA characters that far outshine the one you base character you bought. I use Aurore's HD in almost every female character I do, and at full price she's less that just a half priced HD addon
I really like your monster! And I'm glad he's there! I think people are grumbling more because there wasn't enough "wierd" in the bundle. If there was he wouldn't have caught so much flak I think. Could be just me though, I like mosters.

That reminds me of my days of modding Skyrim. Everyone wearing purple. No torso texture would be my guess, at least, that's the Skyrim answer. Why, Daz, won't you let us play with our new toys?
Well to be fair DAZ just wnated me to put longer shorts on him and I ran out of time to redo the renders so he didn't look like he was wearing underwear LOL. Thank you for the nice words!

which is a fantastic asset, but already overused.
Okay, so already struck out, I used the aforementioned streets of the wild west, I could have gone with PC+ western buildings instead but I just don't use this environment that much. I have to thank CDI for including the source for the rocking chair in the list of items used. So very kind and helpful. I found Old Jeb by RedzStudio to be excellent, love his hair options. So I covered his head with a hat so you can't see it, but it is so perfect.

Holt HD Add on, DForce Western Brawler Textures, DForce Western Brawler Outfil, Sunset Rider and its textuer, Banker Outfit and its textures, and Sawyer for Holt downloads as empty files in Smart Content. This happens with darn near every bundle. I have to uninstall and then install it with DIM.
Also, I got the entire package of weird/wild west, and I only got $10 in store credits. So I'm off to file a ticket.
So be aware.
Hmm, I bought both bundles togerther but I haven't gotten any credit yet. However, I wasn't expecting any credit yet because according to the ad it won't be credited until tomorrow.
Are you sure the $10 credit you are seeing is because of your purchase of the two bundles? If so, did you purchase both bundles in the same order?
Am I missing something here? If you buy either bundle you get Holt HD for free, But I don't see Holt listed in the wierd west bundle. So why offer an HD model if you don't get the supporting model in the bundle?
Perhaps for people who want the character and buy it stand-alone plus the second bundle.
