Holt 8 and the monster
I may have missunderstood, but this is what I get when right-clicking one of the files in the Lost and Found tab, I could only right-click on the ones with an actual thumbnail, the others doesn't react at all. Anyhow, this is what I got when doing so.
The character and the material works, it just those strange files in the Lost and Found that has me wondering what is going on and what they are.
Thank you both *happy smile*
Thanks for the paths, they look correct. I have no idea why the .dsf files are showing - they should be hidden.
I bought both bundles and eight of the packages within the bundles refuse to install properly. This seems to be a recurring theme as I had this issue with the Road Warrior package in that bundle. And I have 2 other SY packages that are on eternal update since they won't install (and seem to be failing on metadata update) .. anyone have any insight as far as maybe you had these troubles too? I use the smart connect pane to install stuff from within DAZ. So tired of waiting three weeks for the help desk to respond (and then reference something I'm not even reporting).

How are you installing?
Here you go. Default hdri rotated 45 degrees.
I install using Smart Connect from within DAZ Studio itself. It's my default go-to method.
Thank you! Much appreciated
Another one with Eli, just because I had this idea as well.
The poker game is not historical. There are a number of "flaws" that take it out of the Cowboy period (1865 to about 1880), but this was quickest and easiest to do in an easily identifiable way.
A very James Arnes look to this one.

Thank you for posting these. The promo images of the monster leave a lot to be desired. I couldn't tell what his face looked like. Now I know I want him.
That is Eli without Holt 8.
Changed up the Poker shot, now with the notorious Aces and Eights. (The game is Five Card Stud, which fits the period.)
Thanks :)
Yeah, the clothing (and the flag) in the prior one really bugged me, so I swapped out some lighting to kill some of the reflection. Also, the Shirt and Vest come with a high degree of Metallicity dial (and Metallicity map), which I didn't like. (Brilliant clothes with one or two materials issues for that lighting setup.) So I removed virtually all of the Metallicity, which I think was causing issues.
I like using just a few props. Part of it is having a semi-potato-level computer for the Daz work, so keeping it highly focused is a top priority.
The other part is, of course, the storytelling. I want to show enough to have some emotional weight, and anything more would cause trouble. I need what sharpens the story, and I don't need distraction.
Also, a smarter person than me says you want your images to be right before something happens, or right after. The anticipation of him, laying down the final card... that's a powerful moment. Or, with Eli as gunslinger, with the "boots up" view from the person that Eli had just shot.
That's the weight of the moment, and where you often see the most interesting part of the story - the anticipation and the aftermath.
I wasn't going to pickup more Holt 8 stuff. To be honest, the morph is really mundane, but CC Jack is an excellent character... Nice skin, and tons of options.
And the vamp option:
A preliminary version of that promo got through. Sorry, that's my bad. There are a veritable plethora of morphs on all of the Fire Marshall items to accommodate almost any clothing. Poke-through is NOT a problem with this set.
Love the Fire Marshall items. Now I just need to adapt them to G8F. :)
I like this very much. And who knew the monster was so cool looking?
Thanks. I'm really glad you like the set. With not too much tweaking you can autofit the set to Genesis 8 Female.
Eli, walking in to someone else's camp at night.
(Testing out a low light setup.)
Thank you for the clarification Greybro! That helps with deciding to purchase it

I have a question for people who bought both bundles: did you get the Holt 8 HD addon for free, and how did you receive it/where did you find it? I did get the $30 store credit, but I still don't have the HD addon for Holt. I've placed a customer service ticket, but I don't know if those ever get answered.
easy to miss - on the sales page where it said and was underlined get "holt 8 hd free" - that was the link you had to click on to the Holt 8 HD sales page and you clicked on the add on to cart button - thiese things are often hidden or not obvious so most miss them I nearly did sales page is no longer up so put in a ticket here's the link to his hd page see if you can still get him free in your cart if not put in a ticket

Darn it, but thank you, I appreciate that!
I had to put in a ticket. The HD Add-on was nowhere on the sales page (there were no additional add-ons listed on the Holt 8 sales page. Everything was in the bundles), So I figured it would be added automatically. I was wrong and had to put in the ticket to actually get it.
If you have to leave the page and hunt for something in the main store, or go through every item in a bundle looking for one which includes a link to the offered product, then expecting it to be automatically added to the purchase history doesn't seem that unreasonable. But, like I say, wrong.
Finally test rendered this whole gang, and Holt 8 is great! The broken blood vessels on his nose, the blemishes, eye bags---all make him very rugged and believable. He's not surreally Irayed like Dain, but I'm very pleased with his skin and head morph.
I just want to say that I'm utterly glad that this incredible figure - Old Jeb of course - comes without the need to buy another named figure.
And I think Redz somehow must have had an inspiration for giving Charles Bukowski a chance to come back to 3d life
