in dazland, your skin color will change dramatically depending on the position of the sun! (and other lights too)
nights are extremely blue
teens have no genitalia
babies are all equally ugly, and extremely fat
When a new environment appears for sale the first thing I do now is check if the toilet has a seat... Hang on...
Cafe Luca toilet has a lid and seat that open and close.
And the Euro Apartment (Roguey) toilet does.
Predatron's small room kit toilet has an opening and closing lid and seat.
Sloshwerks Woodman House bathroom toilet has an opening and closing lid and seat.
Polish's hotel room toilet has a opening lid and a seat, however Polish's holiday hotel toilet has an opening lid but no seat
The Apartment bathroom toilet has a lid and seat but they cannot be opened.
As does 22 Parker Road toilet...
And the Long Island Mansion toilet...
That was fun...
Gosh 9 toilets between the thousand characters that live in my computer, it's a good job they don't eat..
S.
What other purpose would a toilet serve but decoration, since even the produce that usually gets dropped in it, needs to be bought separately and cannot be found in Daz store.
There are no magazines, But there are magazine covers.
Very true, and while the essential... "elements" can be, they are limited in scope and only available to the financially fortunate few.
Some say this has led to the underground buying and selling of such things, more cheaply than can be obtained within Dazlandia's borders and arguably of higher quality. Discussions are held in whispers for if overheard, they are rapidly silenced.
I leave the lid on my toilet at home down, because the cats like to sit on it. Dazlandian cats are very unfortunate in many ways, between their congenital deformations and the potential for an owner who buys a lidless loo.
Actually, someone did make a 30-page magazine a long time ago... Poser-rigged, maybe early 2000s vintage? A quick check shows that Powerage over at Rendatrocity still sells a variant of it (or is that the one?), with a few Vicky 4 poses to go along with it.
Our cats just like drinking if the lid is up. And the occasional loo roll drops in from the storage shelf above. Which, on balance, is not helpful. I try to keep the lid down, but the ladies of my household collude with each other so that 95% of the time the lid is up, giving giving the cats nowhere to sit.
I once saw a place on the A303 near Yeovilton in Somerset, England, a workshop that makes rocking horses, advertising carved rockinghorse manure. That makes it infinitely more common than G8 manure. Just thought you might need to be aware.
Regards,
Richard.
Well, that's only half right, actually... https://www.daz3d.com/rigged-water-iray https://www.daz3d.com/fluidos-ii-for-daz-studio
I'M TALKING ABOUT THE TOILET WATER!!!!
To be fair, that's also true in our world with women whose endowment is, shall we say, augmented, as silicone lasts a long time...
Oh damn, then why did I buy this? https://www.daz3d.com/euro-dump-truck
Oh well, at least the Michaels and Vickies have no problem losing or gaining weight. All at the turn of some dials.
Which is a good thing, since, as mentioned, most food props miss the option of being actually eaten.
A good thing for the teeth as well, as it is impossible for dentists to actually pull a tooth.
In the DAZ world, it proves quite difficult leaving any footprints in sand or snow.
Or getting wet in the rain.
If you are unlucky enough as a woman to become a zombie, rest easy because the breasts are the last thing on your body to wither away.
Whoa, I never considered that... ???? (edit: Those question marks are supposed to be a mind blown emoji.)
So, conceptionally the the movie "Zombie Strippers" might have been onto something. LOL
Boats and ships are not watertight, so if you put one in the sea the water will immediately fill it, up to the level of the water outside.
On something as opposed to onto something is what I'm actually thinking.
Like everything, water is infinitely thin.
The 3D world is actually an illusion; as everything is infinitely thin, what we have is a 2D world.
Word has it, that in the neighbouring Blendertopia realm, some powerful magic exists to carve part out of the sea itself! Now we just need to figure out how to conjure what's left of that sea into our realm.
The model screams "I don't bend that way! " and someone still turns "limits off" causing grievous boodily harm atleast temporarily.
That's actually very deep conceptually.
When people in DAZlandia aren't fighting, they're all standing around, posing for publicity shots. Or waiting for the next encounter of the intimate kind.
I humbly submit the following two images. One is real, the other a promo render. You have three guesses which is which, and your first two don't count. Not to diss the PA, this is a great looking outfit, but yeah, where's the grunge option?
Ooh, wait. I have more:
In Dazlandia, you can never put your hands in your pockets because the pants don't morph that way. You can never stick a cigar in your mouth, because the mouths don't morph that way. You can never wear a hat because the hair doesn't morph that way! Everybody is double-jointed, but nobody can look back over their shoulder without looking like they got put through a wringer.
Yes, there are exceptions to most of these, but as a general rule, I have seen all of these issues.
Clearly this is the promo image, employing a variety of Deviney's wonderful brushes and effects.
Yes, and that HDRI is obviously not scaled properly.
Mesh smoothing can actually simulate hands in pockets.

There actually is more than one way to skin a cat in DAZland, but there are fewer than there used to be as many of the skins have been pulled from the store.
There are no major name brand products, only knock offs... and most of those are actually just packages without any contents.
There is no artichoke dip because there aren't any artichokes.
I recall having a 3D artichoke actually
don't think it was from DAZ though
DAZ residents are patiently waiting for Artichoke 8.
The crazy thing about that image, if you caught who it is, those chains are the *launching* chains, not anchor chains for the ship he built. The SS Great Eastern was the largest ship afloat by far when launched.
Err, wait... Isambard K. Brunel (builder of the SS Great Eastern, among other giant iron-based bridges and vehicles) is pretty easy to spot for anyone who studied history in the Victorian and Edwardian eras... short dude with a very outsized reputation.
Brunel deserved his reputation far more that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs combined. If the railways had adopted Brunel's broad gauge ( seven feet and a quarter inch ) trains would be able to run at higher speeds and be more stable than those of today. Of all his projects the Great Eastern was possibly the least successful owing in part to the belated discovery of coal deposits in Australia. ( The Great Eastern was designed to be able to do a round trip between the UK and Australia without needing to refuel at the Australian end of the journey.)
Everybody get on this bus so it can take us back on topic again.
