This was for the Miss Renderosity contest. Thought cute might b able trump boobs & bums but guess I was wrong.

The contest is being done in three tiers ,Swimsuit (#1) evening gown (#2) and talent (#3). Feel like Tiger Woods not even making the first cut which of 95 from 300 entries.

Wish the quality of the work that went into the images mattered more as I saw some that made the second round which looked like Vicky was just dropped in with with the old Cyclorama beach background (that one which is too dark) and rendered without even a concern for the lighting.

Getting the water to look right alone took about a week. This used four instances of teh Rolling Plains prop to create the beach, sand underneath the water, the landscape across the water and it's beach. There was also a tonne of "mapbashing".

Looks great KK, well worth wall the work :)

complaint: there was absolutely no reason for autospell to turn all into wall whisky tango foxtrot !

sleepies, want to go to bed but it's way too early to go to sleep. Might chance going to bed in an hour

Dad saw his normal doctor today, and was told that there's no sign of any more lumps, so no more surgeries. Tomorrow they find out what exactly the original lump was.
He also got a new dog, as their old dog passed away a couple weeks before he went in for surgery. He says she's a cute Chihuahua mix that thinks she's still a puppy.

    It is a huge relief.

And I think it's late enough I can sneak off to bed with no problem. Once this image finishes rendering...

    Tuesday complaints!

    - Lighting is a pain in the neck
    - A diner looks weird just sitting alone on a plane, nee3ds surroundings
    - Coffee is cold
    - Outdoors is hot
    - Out of beer :ahhh:
    - Need to install city blocks to use as surroundings for the diner
    - Need the giant armadillo to attack the diner

    Non-complaints:

    -Woke up :blank:

I'd like to see giant armadillo attack the diner, along with alien space fishies

I grabbed the armadillo from DAZ in my last shopping spree, so we're good to go there. Creating the SPACE TUNA is going to be more difficult as bolting spaceship wings on a tuna isn't the easiest, or prettiest,thing... :bug:

    More coffffffffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :blank:

ps. had this GREAT beer last night called "Dead Armadillo" - I kid you not. Strong and tasty, but didn't taste anything like I thought an armadillo would... :smirk:

I didn't even know DAZ had an armadillo. Thanks to you, it's wishlisted. As a Texan I have it. It's our state mammal, you know. How does "Dead Armadillo" compare to the Shiners?

Yeah, being an ex-Texan an armadillo is a nice reminder of past days at Ginnys Little Longhorn Saloon, listening to Dale Watson.

Dead Armadillo isn't as smoothly drinkable as a Shiner, though both are amber beers. The Dead Armadillo is a high alcohol-per-volume beer.. 6.9 as opposed to 4-something for Shiner, so it has a more bitter alcohol aftertaste, and it's very hoppy. 2-3 is my limit before I have t change to Shiner, Heineken, or the like. But after 3, you'll be pretty happy (heh)! :bug:
