Really like the new layout.
Maybe just some finetuning, but i think it looks better then the old.
What is the point of covering the info in the product thumbnail with garish New and Sale banners? Sometimes I can't even read the title of the product.
WTF?
I went to the sales page today, and I'm seeing some new trading card game. Oh, wait. That's the store?!?
Gotta collect 'em all! This just solidifies that motto I think...
Seriously, yes there's more info there if you figure out all the icons, but yeah the other layout had a much more efficient use of space. I could play around with this one in Photoshop to see what could be done to make it look better, but I"m just not into it.
Not like I have any choice though, other than shopping elsewhere. Wave of the future I guess.
Now, what card do I need to counter Ophelia 7...
Have you not found a counter for Aiko 7?![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
I like the rollovers and a few other things. I'm using chrome and large monitors (maybe it looks better on mobile) but too much white is washing out the product images. They aren't looking as enticing. Doesn't showcase the product well enough. Personally I think something like a white border (space) and two black lines like a double frame might help. Something simple that doesn't compete with the NEW and SALE Ribbons.
I thought it was a half-loaded error page
Agreed. This is a serious flaw in the design and should be reconsidered.
The new site looks awkward to me. It's sort of crisp-looking (almost clinically so), but the fonts look a bit funky, especially on the highlight reel on the main page. Almost like someone uploaded with the wrong font before the site was ready for release.
I think the site could use a more artistic designer to come in and give it a bit of an arty feel to go with the idea of the products being mostly for art purposes.
Sorry, but the new look is annoying. It's too sterile, and my eyes feel like they are screaming. I came to try and spend my plat club coupon and instead heading to the forum to see what this all is. Sorry but it's not making me want to spend too much time sorting through it.
All in all, it looks now a bit like all those cheap webshops that use free website construction kits and are operated from the kitchen table.
Not good on my eyes too white too busy I can not look at it for more than a few seconds will not be buying much if it stays like that.
What's going on with the Wishlist thumbnails, they're tiny.
I don't know. I'm mostly left wondering what the specific problem was that the new format is supposed to solve. I can't see that any of the changes are going to entice me to make purchases more than the way it was before. The promo images tended to do that well, did they not? Now the promos are relegated to a more marginal role. Its like wading through a book of mugshots for some reason. Nothing seems to stand out. Its like homogenization.
The same icon for clothing and textures is not ok
...and no icon for poses
...and now my wish to get the ability to filter with those tags in the shop
no textures, no poses
what a relief this could be
.. no environments..
I wish the new store software will brings better filters
I like my Aikos, particularly #6!
I was shocked to see the pages when I woke up. It might sound strange as I am one of those people that likes remotes with many knobs and 'statistics for nerds' but this feels a bit too busy/chaotic. Some of my problems with it:
Less web design, more QC please.
The only thing the "SALE" sticker does is block my view of the promo image.
A bigger, bolder -58% below would not only draw my eye to the item but also give me actual useful information. So why the duplicate Sale sticker?
One word for the new design: beurk
What is teh next step; white text on white page? Because I feel like if it's what will come after.
Tiny icons below the product lists are so useless and ridiculous. I bet people with eye problems see them so much...
And please take the pink "Sale" marker off not-on-sale DOs and PC+ items when you are a member - they appear on every item when logged on, just because of the PC+ basic discount.
Yep. And for anyone thinking "but you can just hide the ones you bought"... That doesn't work in places like today's sale page "Select $5 Items" section (and for the record, that slider thing has never actually hidden already-purchased items since they started using it).
yeah short: it looks like crap.
i barely see the favorite "heart" (an awful shape) on the thumbnail.
also, i can't favorite a product directly on the general store page, i have to open the product, waste of time.
the thumbs have too many symbols and stuff on the white background and the thumb with its text looks not separated enough from the next.
the number of tiny icons might be informative BUT it's overkill and it's overloading my synapses. make it a tooltip or sth.
the text is too small or at least not bold enough - especially the % discount, the red is barely visible.
the labels new and sale are visually disturbing.
and i haven't watched much longer cuz it annoys me to no end. before i loved starting my morning (well.. after a ton of house chores) discovering what's new in the store - if it looks like this, it will become another chore. which i might skip a lot more often.
and i haven't had the courage to see what this mess looks like on a smartphone, i don't wanna ruin my day even more.
GUYS, GO LEARN SOME PROFESSIONAL DESIGN BEFORE YOU SCREW UP A WEBSITE, SRSLY. THIS IS A FAILURE.
GOOD LUCK TO "IMPROVE" THIS
EDIT: actually, the ONLY and SINGLE good thing about this new design/site code is... that LUCKILY THANKS GAWD the red daz deals labels didn't get killed in the process.
EDIT 2: wow, what a brilliant idea to make a dynamic "pull aside" hover (?) description of the icons... genius idea. this was sarcasm, cuz icons are supposed to be evocative enough to NOT need a description, tha's the point of an icon. but ok, let's say it was done in the spirit of.. eeh.. being customer friendly or sth - srsly, is it necessary to explain that G8 means ... Genesis 8???. and this dynamic business is annoying, text shouldn't move like this. make it a tooltip or sth, anything but this moving around.
I agree with most. This is a WIP.
* Try borders.
* New/Sale stickers looks a little intrusive. You need to consider that Artists make promos thinking there might be a corner sticker, now you are changing the "rules". Not cool. And considering is almost easier to change fuel from a nuclear reactor than thumbnails and pics on this store, bad move.
* Bold for discount (and price too) would be nice.
* Wishlisted icon(heart) is too small and difficult to spot.
Other than this, well.... changes always are difficult to adapt to. People gets used to see things one way and suddenly changes takes time to get used to it again. Just stay open to feedback like this thread.
Agreed. I was scrolling through the $5 Select Items list and struggling to distinguish the products that I already had from the ones I didn't.
Different icon colors would help, but because many people suffer from color blindness to some extent color shouldn't be used as the only differentiator. Ideally, the shape of the badge should be different or the colors chosen should also be visibly different in brightness. The 'already purchased' could be white on black or perhaps black on white with a thin black border.
Old layout was much more simple and easiler to browse at a quick glance.
New layout looks too cluttered and hurts my eyes.
