Woot! David FINALLY got his review posted. He must have sensed me thinking evil thoughts about him. P

. . . and what a really nice review he wrote. I told you it would be worth waiting for.

SIX REVIEWS NOW!!! You have to click the "See all 6 customer reviews" link near the bottom to see it, and it's quite a nice detailed review.

Oh, wow, I know who that is. He's one of the security guards stationed at the home office of the company I used to work at. He writes too, but he's into science fiction and metaphysical stuff that hurts my brain. How very nice of him.

I was wondering if you knew him, since he's in Arizona too. I agree, very nice of him.

That's great news, Jaki! And D. has good taste. P

Did you notice the bookplate has a red butterfly on it? As soon as I saw that, despite the lack of space to write, I had to have those bookplates.

Well, I just added Smirking and Lurking to my Favorite Images by Other Artists over at Renderosity. I really love that render. :coolsmirk:

LoL - thanks! It's amazing how many renders I've done primarily to try out a new Xurge outfit I've acquired. I really need to do some new stuff that isn't intended for a book cover contest on 99designs. Do something for fun!

And for the sake of adding some graphical interest to this thread, I'll post the image you're referring to (which also happens to be where my avatar came from):

Yes, I realized that first time I saw it. I also happen to remember that little avatar you use at Renderosity. Did you at some point use that here back in the "early days"?

No, I've never used my Rendo avatar here. I used to have the same style of avatar, but it was still W'rath not Ermin (Ermin was my Fantasy Hero RPG character before a very large rock fell on her).

AHHHH, OK. I guess it was similar enough for me to think it was the same one.

So my copy of the book finally decided to arrive, and I've read it over the week-end...
Only one thing to say: can I have the next one please? ^^

Leana, I'm so glad it finally arrived. They must have hand printed it and shipped it by an exceptionally slow snail.

I'm quite pleased you liked it, and I assure you I am working hard on the sequel. I finished typing in Chapter 10 last night.

If you're Mellitusbane on Amazon, thank you (and if you're not, thank you, Mellitusbane, whoever you are)! The review showed up about the same time as your forum post, so I'm assuming it's not a coincidence.

I would have responded to your post sooner, but a giant, orange furball trapped my hand and mouse under her fuzzy bulk. Here's the proof - if you look there is a pink thing sticking out from underneath her - that is my arm:

Nope, it wasn't mine, I haven't posted one yet. It's definitely planned but it will take some time to write ;)

I know the furball problem quite well too. Fortunately mine is smaller and usually less invasive ^^

What is it with cats and computer keyboards???? Years ago I used to work part time at the dance studio I was studying at, and the owner's pet tabby was always walking across all the desks and keyboards. Loved the silly thing to bits (she was adorable), but really annoying when you're trying to get work done. ~sheesh~

Well, thank you in advance then - no hurry. I appreciate you taking the time to write one.

Tribble (the orange tabby) has grown up around siamese, so she has learned some bad habits. :)

I'm pretty sure they all belong to a union and that walking on keyboards, flopping down on whatever you're trying to read, covering up the question on a crossword you're trying to solve, etc., is all part of their membership requirements. The other night Shogun reached out a delicate paw and switched off the baseball game my dad was watching on his Kindle Fire. They have leet skillz.

LOL! Our eldest, a Russian Blue mutt, waits until I plug in my battery charger on the side of my desk to ask for pets.. he paces back and forth on that side of my chair and usually does an exceptional job of pulling the charger off the desk and throwing the batteries all over the floor, sometimes he even manages to get my headphones and my tablet with it. Little bugger..

I've been quite busy this week so it took longer than I had planned though.

True, but when I looked at it, and then at your Nick/Alias here on the forums, I thought there was enough there for a "hint". Unfortunately, I didn't see it when I first spotted your review. :coolsmirk:

That seems to be a long-time recurring problem, even on the old forum.
