Ooh, just received a tropic weather watch. Little chance for the thunderstorms to organize fully into a tropical storm/hurricane but there is a slight chance for tornados. But we're also to get rain. Also rip currents is possible

...well off to home and dinner. Another interview tomorrow morning so have to turn in early tonight.

Have fun, will be back sometime tomorrow.

    Take care! :cheese:

    +1

+2 hope that turns out well for you :)
..thank you all. Looks like it is. Barring anything unusual popping up in the usual background check (unless the occasional office pen or box knife that ended up in a pocket is now a criminal offence) I am scheduled to start in three weeks. Nice bennies and an easy "painless" commute compared to my previous job.

Stopped off at the hotspot for a few minutes to send messages/emails. Have to head home & change out of the interview clothes as it's heading towards the low 90s today and I'm waaaaaaaay overdressed.

Feels good finally being able to pull the plug on the other job search sites and say goodbye to 100+ emails a day clogging up my inbox.

    [need the old "whoopee" emote]

    Hey! Congratulations!

    Dana
    Great news!

On to do list for me: Get a new email account, convert my account here to it.
THat way the next time I'm stuck on the Win 8 compy with WaterFox I can play around with things and figure out WTH Daz keeps insisting I have an invalid user id or password when I try to log in here.
No problem at all logging in on the XP machine with FireFox that I normally use and am back on now.

    ...again, thank you all.

Well off to home to change (now 91° out) and then to happy hour at the pub for a couple pints to celebrate a bit as I have a day ticket on the transit system..

    Will be back tomorrow.

Morning. A mob of Mynah birds squalling and clucking at the so far leaden grey sky outside my window like a bunch of grumpy old men loudly complaining about the folly of youth

I'm tempted to create some female characters in games to see the characters wearing skimpy outfits.

edit: I just noticed the wolf lady has an hour-glass shape. lol

Are you near Bermuda? That is the only place that I know that has a tropical storm watch.

Texas. It's not a tropical storm but a series of thunderstorms in the gulf that's heading for Corpus. But we got an email at work that is a tropic weather watch update with information regarding these storms, like there's about a 10% chance these will develop into a hurricane before making landfall. And there's the slight risk of tornado

It a fairly simple position, however it is a steady paycheque again, in a sit down job, in a climate controlled environment, and on my side of town (no more epic length commutes).

those be mighty nice pluses :)

I figured out how the wings/tailfin work on the Ocean Queen. You pose the main body, then click on the wing and use the same pose and they line up where they are suppose to be.

Having such a hard time focusing on anything right now. I spent an hour just wandering around aimlessly only ocassionally picking up my Linux book, then just gazed through a few passages before completely forgetting what I was supposed to be reading, and then I'd go looking up what I was supposed to be reading, then forget why I was online and then start randomly flipping through tabs, then I'd think "oh crap, what about my web design class?" and then get lost trying to find that and.... Aaaaaghghgnb .... ><</p>

    ;3;

Mmm WoW screenshot? Really hate what the game's turned into after WotlK. Friend showed me a few screenies from his time on the Warlords beta.... *shakes head* Doesn't even resemble the game I loved and grew up on anymore. Might as well be an entirely different MMO that happens to share the same name. The more I hear about the current state of things, the less I want anything to do with it. I just want my precious 1.12 and 2.4.3 back *weeps*

On a more positive note (Only real thing that went well for me today actually) I got this gift in my inbox:

Been aimlessly wandering around here as well, but 'cos it is real sunny for a change once the river fog blew away this morning. I thought how come I'm squinting so much? Taking a while to sink in that I need to carry sunglasses around again cos it is only four more sleeps until spring  Hey good looking draggy there :)
