Ok, thanks to Danas research I've had SOME luck with the wings. I had to:

    - load Ocean Queen
    - load wings w/ Ocean Queen selected
    - Apply materials separately to main figure and wings
    - Apply pose to main figure
    - THEN, apply pose to wings

    End result:

Yep, that's what I found out last night. Same with the tail sail.

I'm rendering out brief animation now of the OQ changing position.. no idea when it'll finish. :blank:

Also having a miserable time getting my videos on YouTube, so I need to do some work there or find a way to compress the things myself and host them on my Website.. sigh. :-S

Does it make a difference if you parent wings to body?

Oh PS youtube video loads for me, looks good :)

TroutFace, I know how you feel. There are times when I forgot my checkbook and debit card at home.

Daz website is slow. I cannot access my product library or look at the store. I can log into the forums though.

When I first got on today both the store and the forums were non-responsive. I got the Clodflare message on the forum, but the store didn't even respond at all. Little green circle just kept going, and going, and going. Must be related to the Energizer Bunny.

Now each time I post it takes forever to refresh...then I have to go back to the page I was on to continue reading...

    Dana

...seems to have bogged down for me just a short while ago. (see comment above). Sitting here watching a new page take more time than it should to load.

It crashed for me before.... :)

Wings are props. There are morphs to move the wings and the preset poses will line the wings back in place but there is no parenting

...ahh will have to wait a bit, even on sale a bit expensive.

...unless I can score in this month's DCC over at DA as they give away RDNA GCs (had a pic make the "final 5" for the first time in last month's challenge).

I worked so hard to get home in time. I crossed a busy street just to catch the bus to get home just in time. That intersection has no crosswalks and is extremely busy especially during rush hour traffic.

    Yea I did.

I came home to find out there was a power outage while I was downloading Zbrush. Now I have to try again to download it.

I reset the download for Zbrush then I had to look for the disc that has the serial number on it so I can download it. That took me two days to find it. Now I have to try again to download it because of a stupid power outage.
I hope ZBrush 5 is free for the ones who own Zbrush 4.

The textures do look nice. Wings as props, though, is something I know a couple of people who wouldn't put up with. They'd take them into a modeler and turn them into rigged figures. Of course they are using Poser so dynamic wouldn't be a problem....
Couldn't something similar be done in D/S? Make the wings figures with morphs and parent them to the dragon?

It might be possible. I'll have to dig around, I thought I recall a tut on building bones inside Daz but I don't know if that is from the old forums or not.

Looks like the draggy is set up to cloth sim the wings into cool shapes, freeze those shapes and use the geometry as morph targets :)

I think I just got called a noob in a game I have played off and on for about ten years. It was not my main but a secondary character. I was considered a noob because my combat was low, but I have not worked on combat for this character. I have been working on secondary skills like wood cutting and one called rune crafting which will let me make the needed runes for the magic skill.

I need to go find my pillows soon. They are probably on my bed as that is where I usually keep them.

Played around with the Ocean Draggy
Water refuses to reflect her. No idea why, gone through various settings and even several other water props and I can't seem to get reflection. I threw her on a solid plane set to reflect and that works, so I'm baffled as to what's going on.

I think that at that camera angle her reflection may be below the frame.

Judging by the angle we see here in the first image, I'd say the reflection would be visible if the camera were further away from the dragon. A reflection wouldn't be behind the dragon. It would be between the camera and the dragon. With that same scene, pull the camera back some, or angle it down more, or bring the camera down closer to the water or the dragon closer to the water.

Right now I'm going to try to rig the wings using transfer utility. Hope that works

Well, I'll need to play around tomorrow with the rigging. It's late

tracking a package via Fed-Ex is um... odd to say the least. Why is the package going from China to Memphis, TN, then to Japan? I thought the package would go from Memphis to the mid-Atlantic states? Or am I misinterpreting the history?
