Tonight's update: Played with the lighting some and got most of the tactical station done- just need to add the control consoles on the back side.

The '57s are in! The 2257s, that is :).

I just couldn't resist making a retro-cruiser of the Dart, with all the color and flash that was part and parcel of the mid-20th century, wrapped around the tech of the mid-23rd. Lots of new parts, from cowls over the bussard collectors that are inspired by the headlights of the '57 BelAir, among other 'hip' machines, to all sorts of chrome trim bits, over a smooth turquoise-and-cream paint job. What McCoy might fly around in on his vacations, before parking it back in the garage at the main Georgia estate and heading off again to Enterprise.

I've made the new parts all separate so their use is flexible, but rather than making a folder of a dozen new props, I'm thinking of packaging it as a single .CR2, a freebie, but you have to have the original Dart in order to load the ship itself. The 'warp sled' also has a new, taller fin, so I just made it a whole new part instead of trying to tack on an extension to the fin in the current Warp Pack.

I hope to have this one ready to upload over the weekend.

Me too, that looks so kool :-)

The BOP Bridge Corridor has been uploaded to my DA Gallery.
.cr2 file which hopefully will work in most of the staging programs.
If there's something I need to know about, the PM system here usually works.

JJAbrams Flightsuit (M4 and V4 Bodysuit)

"Introduced in 2259, these gray overalls were worn on shuttles. They had transparent yokes to show the division color, and the insignia was emblazoned on the upper arms. They could not be worn with the uniform skirt. (Star Trek Into Darkness) "

Almost finished... to be posted soon.

you beat me to it madd,
i was hoping that it would take you longer to finish your klingon bridge than it is taking
becouse i was going to ask you if you wanted to use mine
yours is looking sweet so i am beginingto think i need to take mine back to the drawing board and start from scratch.
i have gained so much ground as a model builder since i started it i cant help but think it could only turn out better

I know what you're saying. I'm doing model work now, that- 5 years ago- I would never have dreamed of attempting. This bridge IS going faster than I thought it would. I guess because I'm managing to break it down into sections I can deal with. I know it's one of the biggest interior sets I've done.

Tonight's update. The Weapons Stations are done. When I release this beast, I'll keep these as separate objs so they can be posed and turned as needed.

Okay, got a friend that's looking for a head morph for Commodore Matt Decker. He has all the Micheal base figures. Anyone got the time to put this together?

Finishing up my Star Trek "cage" uniforms, circa 2254. just in time for "Star Trek Axanar"

Included with the field/combat jacket. For both M4 Valiant and V4 Courageous.

Then I'll take a shot at the JJAbrams Dress Greys.

    Update time:

Okay, top picture. The object than Kang is standing on- I stared at the diagram for a week before I finally figured out that it's a one-person lift to the top deck, where the ship's primary sensor set-up is located. Adding that deck presented 3 situtations:
    1. I had to reduce the shadows by half or else no one would be able to see that back area.
    2. I need to come up with some kind of ceiling light to go in there.
    3. How much of the sensor deck do I build? The story does not go up there- I didn't even know that deck existed till I started this project, But, to use another model as an example, it's like the Kirk ranch house. We never went upstairs, but because of the way the stairs were designed, I had to finish the upstairs hallway because of the camera angles. What I might do, is build a quarter or a third of a section of console and position that prop according to how the camera is positioned.
The back wall. I had absolutely no references for it, but I couldn't leave it bare- it just didn't look right. So those shapes are entirely my idea, just so there's something back there to finish it.

Subtitle this one "Brainstorm". After posting Update 14, I went back and looked at the screencaps again. As best I could tell, there were computers behind the weapons stations and the monitors looked similar to the movie comps I'd built for "Special Report". Looked again, and the ceiling had supports that looked like the ones I'd made for "Last Voyage of the Sundown". So I went digging. Sometimes it pays to keep all your bits and pieces. As far as I am now concerned, that part of the bridge is done.
