My pillow is singing my name. It is calling for me like a siren calls for a sailor.

That's a bad sign. It may be a killer pillow.

When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,

When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men; for thus sings he,
    Cuckoo;
Cuckoo, cuckoo: Oh word of fear,
    Unpleasing to a married ear!

tho don't think there are any shepherds around these parts. Or cuckoos.

No shepherds in Australia? I've been misinformed about the sheep ranches then? :)

LOL in helicopters maybe, these are the local versions for mustering, sheep are what you might call free range here

a certain graphics forum banned my IP address. um, ok. All I want to do is read the latest news. I have an account with the main art gallery but not for their forum. Now I need to contact the administrator to remove the ban. I guess the person who previously used my IP address broke the forum's rules or did something else nefarious.

I'm definitely getting older. It took me a full minute to figure out what an "ehat" is. :blank:

I figured it out right away, probably because I often produce typos when my nails get too long and need a trim.

My thought however is . . . is it really Fall, or are we going to have an Indian Summer in October? It's been a long time since we've had one of those, and I'm hoping not. I'm definitely enjoying the low 70s we've been having lately.

had another rough day explaining elderly relatives on how to use the new computer. They keep interrupting me and changing the subject. Let me finish my instructions! Then they say "don't talk back to me, I'll do it my way" when I try to correct them. Do they want help using the computer or not? How did they learn in school or college with this attitude??

sorry, had to rant while it is raining outside. Can't go to city to look at the river and take photos for my backgrounds.

    Bryce makes water and sky.

haven't figured out how to get a square render on a sphere skydome :coolhmm:

..sort of like fitting a square peg in a round hole, you just need a bigger mallet. :cheese:

Fiance and I are playing Minecraft and he was building a tunnel to go from one base to another. He needed to orient himself to the second base and had made a stone column looking over the hill. He asked me to peek on his screen to see if he was in the right area for the second base, where I was at, shearing sheep to make carpets. Then I saw a creeper on a hill, so I took my bow out to shoot it, hit it twice and then the third shot missed. Next thing I see is "Bantaro has fallen from a high place"

I had just shot my Fiance off his stone pillar. I couldn't even see him when I made my shots.

Is it bad that I can't stop laughing :red:

...reminds me of a Shadowrun scenario I as in where the mage on our team cast an invisibility spell on himself and then went down the hallway without telling anyone else (used the old "written note to the GM"). Well, a naturally couple guards in security armour come around the corner and level their weapons at us so my Merc character gets first action and fires an airburst HE grenade their way (in the game, grenades going off in hallways are really really bad news for they tend to create what is affectionately called the "chunky salsa effect"). Suddenly from the the player who had the mage I hear "[Expletive] No!". Trick is my character, being all juiced up with cyber and bio enhancements, got to act first scoring a reaction rating so high she had three actions in the turn, anyone slower is basically considered "flat footed" and unable to act (even defend) until it is their reaction.

Well, when the smoke cleared, yup the two sec guards were down, as well as our mage who as several meters from the guards. He actually survived as he was in the edge rather than centre of the blast radius and an had armour spell up at the time which is what saved his hide, but he still was in a major league world of hurt.

Rule one: when in a team with a "twitch" (a character that is heavily cyber enhanced and/or on combat drugs like mine was), never, never do anything without letting the rest of your chummers know first.
