...reminds me a bit of the old "Pearl District" here in Portland before developers were literally given the land for a song and bulldozed all the old warehouses and the Lovejoy St Viaduct (as well as the building the company I used to work for occupied) to transform the area into a district of overpriced condos/apartments, trendy boutique shops, private galleries, and bistros.

Blah, going to have to go get a new mouse. When I try to right click things, it's not working half the time. I'd like to get a trackball like I have now, but the local store is out; it'll take 3 to 5 days to deliver. I'd rather not wait that long. So I might get a wireless mouse instead.

My suggestion would be the Logitech Performance MX. It is the successor to the MX Revolution and is extremely comfortable and has great features. These are the best mice I've ever used, and I've been on PCs since the 1991.

payday t'marra. the one between last rent and next rent. can finally buy 3 things together this weekend. the 3 combining doesn't seem to work on new items.

saw a lovely looking set at rmp. Mediterranean villa, Toscana :)

rot'ka finally fixed whatever it was wouldn't let me upload to their gallery from safari. planning to nab some tentacles from there. :ebil: tee hee.

pumpkin muffin for breakkie :) pesto/kale panini for lunch

...part of my first paycheque (which won't be until 10/03) will go to getting my net service from home reactivated.

Having to go through a week's worth of forum posts as well as hundreds of emails in the inbox on shared bandwidth is a real pain (not to mention finding an empty table at the hotspot with an outlet).

Toddler sizes, yes. Growing up does not have a baby size/shape. I'm off to bed. Bye

Judging by the ages in those thumbnails, the answer is actually no! A toddler is between 1 and 3 years old. The word toddler is taken from the word toddle, which is a word that describes the way the child begins to walk, unsteady and teetering back and forth, rather than the normal stride of older children and adults (except perhaps for drunken adults :smirk: ).

    Dana

With the Genesis version of Growing up, you can dial in some of the Basic Child morph to make the character younger than 5. Dial it all the way and you get something close to baby proportions.

Nice render, fyredrygyon...but I hope he keeps a lock on those swords!

Thanks for the info. I wonder why you can do that with the Genesis 1 version and not the Genesis 2 version. And why we should keep buying things over and over. I'll be sticking to the first Genesis because at least I have the head and body morphs. I can't afford to keep buying these things every time they feel the need to make it all over again. I don't even get to use the stuff that often, really.

    Dana
I ended up with all the sets as the G2F morphs were the first to be released, then the G2M ones, and finally the morphs for Genesis1.

I actually find all of them useful for I can use the Genesis1 morphs on all my Genesis1 characters (including the toon ones) and combine them with other Genesis1 morphs as well (such as DarioFish's Alien morphs available over on Rendo).

do you switch brewskies for the Fall?

    like pales ales to stout?

Typically, I go with darks and stouts during the height of Summer, and go for mostly pales in the Fall and Winter as the lighter brews don't load me down when I'm out in the cold. Right now at home I have a nice mix of dark amber ales and lighter lagers, good for evening sipping. :)

It's hard to find a good variety of beers here in Tulsa.. :long:

...I'm the opposite, seems the smoky heavier porters and stouts help (maybe just placebo wise) to ward off the winter chill for me.

With our transit system you always need to have a "Plan B".

In going though a week's worth of emails, I noticed daily alerts for the LRT trams, all dealing with service issues and schedule delays.

Unfortunately, Best Buy apparently decided to make it a scavenger hunt to find mice. They had mouse scattered all over the store, most of them the simple 3 button kind. I finally found one 5 button Logitech mouse and ran with that one. I did briefly considered a gaming mouse but I have no idea what I'd do with eleven buttons.

...here it's sunny and 86°. Yesterday as 93°, Ein guter Tag für Bier trinken, ja!

The neighbourhood German pub was doing their Oktoberfest Yesterday, however it was really crowded and all the beer as served in those plastic "kegger" cups. Something just not right about drinking finely brewed German bier in a cup more appropriate for the likes of Pabst or Buttwiper. In Germany, the different types of bier are usually served a specific style of glass appropriate for enhancing the taste quality.

As mentioned above, ended up at the Coalition Brewery tasting room (actually the loading dock at the brewery) for the release of their new wet hopped brews.

It's almost football time so getting the beer cold down now

...ugh Packers lost again 19 - 7 to a vastly improved Detroit Lions. After this loss and the one in Seattle, I really am beginning to sour on all the hype that this is Green Bay's year. The running game was once again anemic with Lacy pretty much bottled up all day by the Lion's defence and accounted for 9 of points for Detroit when he fumbled once (leading to a Lions' TD) and later was tackled in the end zone for a safety). Even though Packer's defence forced three turnovers, the offence didn't capitalise on any of them. For a team that is usually associated with a playing a bruising "smash mouth" ground, game, they have been woefully pathetic so far.

Meanwhile the Wisconsin Badgers destroyed Bowling Green Yesterday 68 - 7 racking up over 644 yards rushing, a feat which hasn't been accomplished by a Big Ten team since 1930. Three players (including the QB) ran for more than 100 yards each with a fourth who ran for 94 outdoing the entire Bowling Green team by 1 yard.

Brewers are done for the year, fork has been firmly planted in them.

Brand new external keyboard, tried it in all of the USB ports and the same happens. Intermittently, the "e" "w" and "r" keys will fail to echo to the screen. It definitely isn't the keyboard nor the way I press the keys as I don't experience this issue at all on either the workstation or on the computer at the job.

So what is causing the issue is still a mystery and an extremely annoying one at that.

I find that amazon.com and rakuten.com have better deals than Best Buy, and pretty quick shipping. I would have picked up a cheap one to hold me over and ordered the one I wanted. The cheap one could then be used as a backup in case the main one died. I have several backup mice and keyboards in the house. If it isn't broken, keep it for an emergency. That's my philosophy. And it has paid off more than once. In fact, I used an old Microsoft mouse when my MX Revolution kicked the bucket, until the Performance Mouse MX came in. it was really only a few days.

Perhaps the bios needs a refresh. It could be the motherboard itself. Intermittent things usually are a connection issue. Since it's a laptop, it will be difficult to diagnose on your own.

Yeah - walking home last night, tripped over the sole of my right shoe which had come off from the top! :ahhh: Made it home, taped it up but it was obviously irreparable.. Got a new set of fancy black hiking shoes, super comfy, fits over my ankle brace, etc. etc. - $60 but should last a while.

Home now... bus runs only once every two hours on a Saturday. :blank: Trying to render a swamp but this dang thing is polygon-and-texture heavy so it's taking forever. Maybe go out for a beer after a rest.. sitting at a bus stop for an hour, pacing around, kinda wore me out with the heat and all. :long:

    Need... more... water..

    What swamp is it?

    Dana

This one: http://www.daz3d.com/nature-swamp It's massive! The lake is a bit easier to work with.

Well, I'd wager the transmaps give you a lot of trouble. Everything is transmapped. All the leaves on the trees, and all the blades of grass, and even those reddish, purplish things in the water are big flat objects that change with the transmap and texture map. From what I've read, that's what gives you a terrible time, rendering at least.

I believe.. but damn it looks good when it works... :blank: :smirk:

This lists a few things that it could be if the keyboard itself isn't bad. Like I said, difficult to diagnose. You could look for a keyboard driver, perhaps yours has become corrupt. But again, an intermittent problem is usually an issue with a connection somewhere.

I have a Best Buy five minutes away from my house. I used to get a lot of things there. But, as I said, I noticed that a lot of things were better buys at those online locations I mentioned. Sometimes the shipping charges bring an item back over what Best Buy wants, but not always. And when the shipping is free, it usually makes a big difference.

    As an example:
Best Buy wants $69.99 for the Logitech Performance Mouse MX
Amazon.com wants $62.38 for the same mouse
Rakuten.com wants $54.97 for the same mouse
