I'm sure that if I had bought CivilizationIV on Steam it'd be on the top of the Most Played list instead

I've already got it on Amazon so I don't see any need to re-buy it.

I checked out my friend (Spikeheila)'s page a few months back, and she had 820+ hours clocked for Dino D-Day o.o
Given that an average round in that only lasts a few minutes (7 ~ 10 minutes at most, and generally only on the larger maps) that's a lot of playtime XD
It's probably gone to like 900 now.

She was volunteering as a beta-tester at one point too, and was given the opportunity to assist with the (Currently unreleased) DLC for it. Her buddy (Xane) is helping with the German localization. I kinda envy them sometimes, always get to work on such interesting things :)
(Spike also assisted with beta-testing Primal Carnage before it was released. Though it didn't live up to expectations, she got to meet the guy who animated the dinosaurs and became friends with him :) )

Tuesday morning, time for weekly update to map from inventory. Need to update many fields, which means tell compy to chew on blah field, sit for ten minutes, now chew on that field, rinse repeat. Will take about an hour all together. Can't do much while compy chews

There was a iPhone update the other day, and it added several apps to my phone that I would like removed. I'm not going to get Tips from my phone or use my phone for podcasts. Don't see a need to have those apps on my phone but I haven't found a way to remove them.

    knitpicking Underworld.

If amelia was supposed to be an elder, shouldn't she have put up a better fight? she shoulda been as tough as Victor.
the Victor vs Michael fight, it was so obvious the punches weren't touching.

    This sounds familiar somehow...

Perhaps because it's (quite possibly) the game that KyotoKid's always talking about

Dragonfall bah, for ten years I've been musing about having a story with that name. Always thought I was so clever for thinking about it, and now I can't even use it becuase someone else did :<
Shooting down a dragon, double bah! Instant and permanent "Do Not Want" from me :B

...the Shadowrun video game is (in the actual SR RPG world's term) "a total piece of drek". It has really little to do with the P&P RPG save for the setting and character types. In the actual RPG, dragons, especially Great Dragons are extremely tough to deal with and attempting to shoot one down with a missile is an exercise in absolute futility. In the game setting even a Thor Shot (the most powerful weapon available which is basically a tungsten telephone pole" dropped from orbit) is at best, an extreme longshot to succeed.

In teh game's history, only one Great Dragon, Dunkelzahn met an untimely fate after being "assasinated" while in human form only hours after being elected UCAS President in 2057 when his limousine was blown up in what is believed to be a colossal act of Blood magic...

    ...or so it is written...

Been tasked with making a back up of our laptop in case we have another program crash. Had to wait for the new temp to finish as I'd rather not disrupt her work.

...here on a rare day. Had to check bus connections again as the ride I was getting last week is no more. Ugh won't be home until 11:30 pm every night, about half of the time wasted standing around waiting for buses. I have to spend more time standing and waiting for the first bus from the workplace (25 min) than the time I'm actually riding on it, with no shelter from the weather (and the rainy season has begun here). When I was getting a ride, I would be walking in the door at home about five to ten minutes before that bus was scheduled to show up.

When we shift to an 8:00 pm quit time for the last two weeks of training, the wait for the first bus gets even worse: 35 minutes. Total trip time (3 buses) is about 1hr 50 min. More than half that commute time is just standing around going nowhere (about an hour and ten minutes total).

If I could afford to drive, I could do it in about 18 - 20 min. That's how undependable and convoluted our bus system here is. At 25$ a week (for ten ride tickets) I feel a little cheated.

Beginning to have second thoughts about continuing with this as we will be required to work one weekend day (most likely meaning Sunday for me as I am new) when bus service is at it's worst. If I have to work past 6:00pm, the bus that goes closest to my home will have already stopped running for the day meaning a mile long walk from the next nearest connecting bus or two more connections (with a lot of extra waiting) to get home.

Damn, that seriously sucks! Reminds me of my commute to Polycom: up at 3AM, walk mile and a half to bus, wait 30 minutes at end of that ride for the ONE bus to work, walk a mile and a half from that stop to office, catch the earlier of TWO buses back to downtown Austin, wait 35 minutes, bus back near home, walk mile and a half home arrive about 8:30pm.. eat and go to bed immediately.

Lasted 4 months, then the company decided to move to an even MORE inaccessible place (nearest bus stop was 3-1/2 miles), but they let all the contractors go so I got out with a clean conscience. :blank:

Ugh on "Cult Of The Car". :long:

...Tuesday complaints (other than the "Nation's Best Transit System" here already mentioned about above).

--Had to get up too early this morning.
--Coffee shop rearranged the furniture again. Now only two tables with outlets, one of them being the table for wheelchair customers. Looks like my ability to get online just became tougher (my system's battery holds so little charge anymore).
--Net service should be less expensive if not free (a friend of mine from Ireland told me it's only about the equivalent of 20$ a month there compared to 50$ or more here).

    Non Complaints:

--Stopped raining for the time being.
    --Monday's in the books.
--Finished rendering a silly pic last night (will try and post it by the weekend if I can get online again).

Thanks for telling us. I am not on top of these things like i used to be. It's cool. And it only took ten months to get there, it lifted off in November they said. I guess that is doable for a human mission. They stay up on the ISS for up to a year. Of course, they get supplies, but I guess they'll make sure the ship has room for the needed supplies. maybe they'll send another unmanned ship ahead with supplies for the stay and the return trip. Hopefully it doesn't crash. They've had pretty good luck in recent missions.

Complaint: I haven't gotten any post notices...the eBots are playing hookie again. >:-(

I wonder how many here in the US got this reference?
Need to search online for albums. Havn't been able to find any of DeBurgh's stuff stores in the US since Into the Light.

Everything in the sale is working today giving me nothing to complain about. That's not fair, now what am I supposed to do?

Just buy a few things. Between that and the day progressing, I'm sure you'll find something to complain about. I haven't seen a perfect day very often in my life.

Complaint: cell phone coverage map isn't working correctly. Surely there is cell phone service in a big city? Maybe I should restart Google Chrome with all the addons/plugins disabled.

Complaint: TI seems to be clueless about one of their own products, ugh, and it's not working according to spec. I'm reduced to re-re-re-reading the manual and digging through their support forums in an attempt to catch a clue.

Non-complaint: Diet A&W root beer! :cheese: AND - free food Thursday, the Company BBQ is on and I got invited! Chciken, steak, beans, corn on the cob, omg and they're setting up the bean cookers in the break room next to me.. argh.. must.. not.. steal.. taste!
