I hope they do more bundles of free content like this in the future, and attaching it to an art challenge was a great idea. I think if they earmarked some really desirable recent-ish releases for rotating freebies themed around quarterly contests it'd get more attention than a one-off promo with a high barrier to entry.
As I recall, the counter was for 2 AM EST previously. I only remember because I contemplated staying up a little later than normal to see what was going on. Sometime yesterday (or Sunday) it changed to 9 AM EST (Tuesday).
As for predictions; I have a funny feeling this won't be a product announcement or anythiing like that. I am kind of expecting something like this Diigitals company has purchased a controlling stake or large percentage of DAZ3D.
Sure hope so. Maybe then we can finally get some content for female characters in the store.
Lol, it's just NFT stuff. Hard pass, what a waste of time
How very, very disappointing.
PB
*Looks at the page* I'm not touching this hot dumpster fire with a ten foot pole.
I laughed so hard I thought my sides would split.
Boooo!!!! /throws cabbage
Bad idea. Poorly executed. Poorly communicated.
This is going to go the same direction as the DAZ Print Your Models thing and the DAZ Clip Art shop.
LOL. WTF Daz.
Print your models made sense
And the forum appears to be crashing. You can't make this stuff up.
This is what they were hyping?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Did they misread the calendar? April 1st is on THURSDAY, not TUESDAY. I would have laughed, but that is really a very sad apperance of Shudu...
Not for the price and effort involved. Did anyone actually do it? Because if they had, I'd imagine DAZ would still be offering it.
Unless you mean that that idea made sense in comparison to this idea. :)
Well it is for charity, which is a good thing. But yeah, this is...odd, and something I hope is also a one-time thing.
The Diigitals website makes no mention of this. They're so excited they must have forgotten.
Anyone noticed the new menu bar entry between "Shop" and "Technology"? Seems DAZ want to go NFT large style....
I do like the charity aspect of it, and supporting outreach to teach people how to code.
Quite frankly a PC+ for the day sale with all proceeds going to Black Girls Code would have been a much better fund raiser.
not the premade DAZ ones but I did buy one from Gameprint and am very happy with it
Well, waiting for a DS that has a working HiDPI Scaling framework but not really for a blockchain driven art sales whatever.
Yep. The page is populated too. And if you look at the prices...
Time to delete my DAZ image library. I want nothing to do with this.
Well, now that all the issues with sales and quality control have been sorted out, they're off to seek new horizons.
...or just support the charity directly.
Wendy, don't get banned over this. ;) BTW, what did you have printed? Can we see a pic of it somewhere?
Also, someone should tell them that those are not 32-bit retro sprites, they're 8-bit.
was Jaderail, is somewhere in the gameprint thread
