Another Hacking:  Somebody was querying here about an unexpected "Free Gift" from Amazon.  I'd be leary of that, considering this:

I found out more info.  Apparently it was some eBay seller trying to get a quick buck.  They ordered it from Amazon but charged me more than what they paid.  I have to wait till Tuesday to get help from eBay.

Netflix's ratings system seems to have a weird blind spot for anime. We're watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure right now, and the ratings warns of nudity (we've seen three butts, always in non-sexual situations), language (occasional bad words) and smoking (a couple characters smoke). The horrific violence and absurd amounts of gore apparently don't merit warnings.

Just started watching Darwin's Game, and it's the same thing: the only content warning is for nudity, but one of the first things that happens is someone getting their throat slashed open and spraying blood everywhere.

ive never paid a dime to netflix

and i really resent having them do stupid ekgs on me and billing hundreds of dollars.  the test never improves anything.  doesnt give cures.  just stresses me out more when they tell its off.  no explanation.  a lot of stupid shit to run up a bill.  what is the point of a stress test?  i refuse.  they think old people got noting better to do than pay medical bills.  i resent it more and more.

Yes but it is actually a debit card not a credit card.  That is if it makes any difference?

Yes but it is actually a debit card not a credit card.  That is if it makes any difference?

The difference is, from what I remember,  that a Debit Card you're buying stuff with money you have. Credit Cards you're buying with money you're essentially borrowing.  Which is why it's so easy to rack up ludicrously sized debt with them.  If someone more financially knowledgeable knows more / can correct me,  feel free!

On a different note,  Weekdays often become the "No Drawing, No Rendering" days for me just because of how exhausted I am, physically and mentally, after work v_v

...that's why I have a debit card with overdraft protection.  No risk of overspending.

When I was still working I felt the same way roughly 13-½ hour days including the long multi bus commute each way. I'd be so physically as well as emotionally exhausted (the latter from workplace politics) I'd just warm up something for dinner and then "veg" afterwards.

Yep, it should pretty much miss NC and stay offshore with only a 20% chance of tropical storm force winds on the NC coast.

Non-complaint: I'm not a dog person, but Pudgy the Corgi is freakin' adorable <3

Going into  season 3, and I've decided that I actually like Star Trek: Enterprise. T'pol isn't so bad either (I couldn't stand her in Season 1).

Complaint: I've been grinding my teeth again. It's irritated my gums so much, I think my teeth are going to fall out (or jump out).

As far as I know, overdraft protection lets you overspend and then draws money from your savings. Back when I wasn't doing a spreadsheet, this would sometimes result in me overspending by quite a bit, because I didn't realize I had emptied the account. I vastly prefer the card to be declined. Then I can choose whether I really need whatever I'm buying, and if I do, I can transfer money from savings. With my bank, moving the money is instant.

...however, the nice part, at least with my bank, I'd get an email notice it went into effect.

Speaking of email, my current phone, which was nice when we got it a few years ago (over $500 retail at the time), has really been failing on the email front. It only notifies me of a new email after I check my email and then close the email app. It's so pointless.

One very big differece is, with a credit card, you have fraud protection.   With a debit card, you usually don't.  And a smart crook can drain your account.  I'd say that's a very important difference.  Especially when buying things online.  I use PayPal online as often as possible.

...I dropped PayPal years ago when it was hit by a hacking attack.  Now they're pushing crypto which is all the more reason I won't go back (even received a few emails trying to lure me in)  Emails from them are now routed to my spam folder.

Another matter, you need a credit score (and a decent one for a CC).  I've never taken any loan out in the last three decades, never bought a car, or anything else on payments/credit so I don't even have one to speak of..

Tea to help sleep is only good in only small quantities.  If too much is drank, one might wake up in the mirror the night.

I meant middle of the night not mirror.  Guess if one drinks too much, one will probably see a mirror as they are in the restroom.
