I saw that the other day. Amazing, isn't it?

They actually walk on the ocean floor, I've seen that in a documentary. I just didn't expect they could do it on land, without the buoyancy provided by the water.

Thanks for the warning. When I go there, I'll remember to leave any red clothing in the hotel room (so much for waring any Arsenal gear).

I remember seagulls in Boston a while back that were so comfortable eating your breakfast at outdoor cafes that the waitstaff would ask them if they wanted a refill on the coffee.

They seem to like fast food a lot! I see them over places like Burger King and McDonald's often. Of course, I always seem to see hundreds of them hovering over landfills, too. So maybe taste has nothing to do with it.

I have to show my 3-yr old grandson this raptor in the morning. His problem is that he is always losing his socks, so he shows up at my house with unmatched socks. He has decided that he won't lose them if he never takes them off though. Kids!

At Snoopy's in Corpus Christi, the seagulls got so bad that the owner completely enclosed the outdoor area with chicken wire. You can still enjoy the view and air, but the birds are stymied.

@tjohn: how long did it take to get from the first picture (some snow) to the second picture (more snow)?
