    I wouldn't go that far...  Even back to the 90s I've pre-ordered albums years before the album was scheduled to come out. The money going directly to the band to fund the album.

    I preordered the Vic 9 bundle in September, now I am seeing all the bundle products and the two freebies (voss hair / bikini) show up in DAZ central.  Have downloaded as of 11:00 AM (Mountain Time).  Going to open up the app and see if it works.

    Oddly, in DAZ Central, it reset the order date for a significant portion of my library to today (19 OCT), so I had to use two different filters to find everything.  Use 'genesis 9' filter in Daz Central for some items, and 'Victoria 9' filter for the others.  Confusing, but it all seems to be there.

    So, like many others, I am still waiting on the contents of the Victoria 9 preorder to turn up for me to download. But! I did get the Voss hair and Bikini already unlocked in my account. So, that's something, I guess? Not much of a consolation prize for being made to wait until well after the general launch purchases get to use this before we can have our turn, despite Daz having had our money for quite some time now. 

    Maybe this excruciating wait is the special gift that pre-orders got?

  • well i find it more anoying that it s almost 11 hours since release and still no sign of a fix...

    i mean it s not like it s a major release or important milestone...

    So far, the preorder is a bust. I have the elements and the starter essentials. Everything in the bundle shows up as not owned

    No, just the starter essentials. If I wouldn't be buying the same thing twice, I'm tempted to buy a Victoria 9 item and see if I can download and use it right away. I expect that is the case. Usually, pre-ordering means you get the product first, not last.

    It won't be - I don't think that would be possible in any event. But some people are getting the files and some are not, Daz is aware of and working on the issue.

    It looks like everything is in DIM now except the bonus Voss Hair and Bikini for the pre-orders. A step in the right direction anyway...Yay

    The store page for the bundle at least says what's in it now.

  • I feel very bad for the support people working on this problem.  It definitely should not be this hard to implement a pre-order system and now they have to fix it manually for every individual order :(

    While it may wise to start this process parallel to an actual solution, I really hope they don't rely on this. When they can't figure this out, it will always happen and then they can shove their idea of pre-orders in general. Nobody would pay for this anymore once the word got around.

    I doubt they have even looked at the tickets, it's not as if they needed them to know about the issue. However, it may be that the solution has to go through account-by-account.

  • So, what are we supposed to do, if we pre-ordered and don't see our bundles or gifts? I mean, do I open a ticket for myself? Do I wait for a general fixfor the group? I don't want to flood them with support tickets (being in IT, I know what that's like)... but I also don't want to be left behind and not get what I paid for...

    Understood. Thank you for the information. Is there a master thread/ticket for these issues that I can follow, so if they announce its fixed and I still don't have my stuff, I'll know?

    Oh yeah, I won't bother filing a ticket for a day or two if it comes to that, they probably have forty-five thousand tickets for this up right now. Would only gum up the works at this point. Regardless, one by one sounds like an absolute nightmare for the poor gal or guy that would have to do that.

     

    Edit: Actually, that's a good point. I'm gonna give up and check back tomorrow, my complaining isn't helping.

    Frustrating is not the word. Frustrating would be the word if this was the first...  or second time this exact same thing happened.

    Either fix the root of the problem or don't do these sales.

    It's wrong to dump the failing of the website on both the customers and support. To do it over and over again is worse than wrong.

    Yes, the Bundled items appeared, only the Voss Hair and the Bikini are missing, aka the pre-order bonus.

    For Victoria 9 it was the Voss Hair and for the bundle it was the Voss Hair and the Summer Bikini.

  • yea the bundle appeared, preorder bonus still missing, but it s a beginning ;)

    but it didn t show up on top in daz central for whatever reason surprise

    I think it is the final proof that Daz should refrain to do any such type of sales in the future. They just cannot handle it, and have proven it a couple of times.
