I have seen the original page, and, given how bundels work in the store, I assume that removing the individfual items from the store page "broke" the bundle.  Yes, that is an assumpion, maybe even speculation. But I am working in IT since 1997. I know that thinks can happen, unwanted. I am pretty sure that DAZ absolutely did want to supply the items by today. But also wanted to make the contents of the bundle as "mysterious" as could be. So, a clash of conflicting intentions. Leading to the current situation.  Not nice, for the customers, but understandable.

Except that they are managing these sales for years now and the problems are on a daily bases. I don't know how are the IT companies where you live, but here if you fail so often to do your job at least at a decent level, it wouldn't be long before you will have to look for another place to work.

Are they still in the progress of moving from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Candana eh

Given that the description says "offer ends Sept 5th Midnight MST"  and since the Mystery bag is still being offered in the store (though at double the price,) my guess is that the assumption is that they'll be putting the items in the accounts at midnight and that counts as releasing them on the 5th.

The offer was supposed to end at midnight on Sept 5th, except their midnight was before the 5th even started... They have some special calendars and clocks over there that can't be understood elsewhere.

Oh deer... That means we should take the jet lag also into account...

  • Midnight is the start of the day, isn't it? So about 15 hours ago (MDT), right?

My guess also is this is an automated process. If it doesn't trigger for whatever reason then someone has to reset it or add the items manually. Hence all the hiccups and delays.

    It's malfunction, not malice.

I suppose they have broken the process by removing the contained items from the product page. At the beginning, the bundle contained links to each of its components, but the pages were all ouupsing. As you could have guessed the contents by the link name in the bundle, they decided to remove that reference. And I suppose that is what broke the auto-adding to the library. If I understand the way the shop system is working correctly, an asset is made avalable by setting some flag on its product page. If you have a bundle in your library, the contents of that bundle are not adde to your library as individual items, but are avalable as part of that bundle. I suppose the (good!) idea was, to enable the bundle's individual items any time on Sep 5th, thus making them available for D/L. removing the list of items broke that logic.

Number one rule in IT: never(!) touch a running system.

I beleive, not having seen the page in that state, that they were text links under What's Included. Those are human-generated, they are not placed by the database, and so removing them would have no impact on adding the products.

The links don't usually work until the products go live in the store now. They just have a placemarker

The 5th isn't over for Daz for another 9 hours. They only said that the deal (price) ended at midnight on the 5th of Sep and the packs would be added to your acocunt on the 5th. No time was given for adding the packs.

I am working in IT since 1997, in various projects, also in very BIG sizes (300+ persons, plus me as a project manager). I would not have tolerated that. No way. Yes, too many things just happen. Again, and again, and agian. I assume that this is just another effect of "DAZ culture" - too little communication. They are not communicatiing with some of their user base (us, in the forum. Learning that we are just about 10% of the customers. Disbelieving, though. Given the complexity of DAZ Studio). And I assume that communication is not part of the DAZ corporate DNA.  So, why should marketing start communicating with IT, or any other part of DAZ? So many things could be solved, or mitigated, if there would be more communication.

E.g., NOT adding MSO Artheia for qualifying customers by Sep 1st. One statement, like "Sorry, guys, we have issues, we will deliver tomorrow." would have helped a lot. Just have one official DAZ person, at 10% work load, cover the forums - and not let our moderators hanging out to dry - would help a lot. Btw, I think the forum moderators are doing a great job, given that they usually know as little as we do.

  • We did get a reply to our query, so they are aware but we don't have any definite news to share I'm afraid.

Phew. I call it a (European) Day. Nearly midnight here. Maybe DAZ is able to add my paid products later or tomorrow or whenever.

I have to say that my customer satifsfaction is going south more and more. Not properly working streaking discounts, missed deadlines etc. - miss the time with the obvious glitches as a good part of those were beneficial towards consumers. Nowadays most stacking potential is ruled out, fineprint is limiting promotions and discounts and sometimes even changed throughout a promotion.

No wonder I tend to spend more and more elsewhere.

P.S. This is not at all a criticism of forum mods who are left out in the rain as well.

I must say that I have to agree. DAZ is doing best they can to drive customers off their store. I have been a happy customer. Once. Way back in time. When I started, I tend to spend $200+ per month. No longer. Not, becuase the offered items are bad. But because anything around shopping is getting worse. You have to buy this and that. And the other thing, Just to make the offers work. And we throw in the kitchen sink, plus a toilet without a seat.

I do want to have FUN while shopping, not WORK.

Nope. I count 10 dedicated products. One of them does contain 3 breakout items though. But it seems the image of the sleeveless dress is wrong. Also the product pages are not available yet. Hope those get available by tomorrow. Maybe those are tomorrows new releases. We'll see.

You might find the products in your library. No product pages yet. Did not check DIM yet. See below (hope it's OK to share an image now since those products are finally there.

Reported it and they said the products within the bundle will be going live at reg price over the next few days and their pages will be available when they release to the store.

The products are in my library; however, there is a problem. I purchased the 3D printing license for the grab bag bundle but the individual products are only showing the standard license.

Mine showed up.  Mostly I am happy with the whole deal, except for the break out B.S.  Sorry, that feels like a sucker punch. With the break out gimmick they could have included the "One Outdoor Lounge" and made the table one item, each chair an individual item, each of three lounge chairs separate items and that could have been the whole deal - and that would have been received like DAZ laughing, "SUCKAAAAH!" as they ran away with my money. But this break out trick? NOT COOL DAZ. I wouldn't have a twitchy eye if they gave me, say, Eve 3022 and also an add-on textures pack as a separate item. Would have been totally cool with that.  But breaking a bra, panties and robe that go together into three DIFFERENT items. LAME.  Very lame.

Edit:  I stand corrected. Apologies to one and all.  (Break out items did NOT count as individual items)
