Thanks, sriesch. I did that earlier on, but I haven't left the forums yet, so I don't know if it worked or not.

    I live in hope. LOL

it happens randomly, it doesn't matter the order of what you do. Trust me.

it happens as well , already 2 times .. disco on screen ...  you log in ..you not  you log in ..you not  you log in ..you not  you log in ..you not  you log in ..you not until I shut down the browser

The forum before the last one and the store used the same login, no matter where you logged in, you were logged in in store and forum. That changed with the last forum, which was separated from the store and each needed to be logged in separately. Now it appears that store and forum are together again. Logging in the forum also gives me access to the store - and logging in the store also gives me access to the forum.

WOW.. has it begun to happen here too?  I lost my subscription and yes I do have the Favorites star turned on.  surprise

Apparently they have resized the forum blocks?  Now my sig banner no longer fits?  How do I fix that without having to redo it again?

  • RAMWolffRAMWolff Posts: 10,249

OK.. never mind.. I resized it in the signature area.. it allows for that.. it's OK now..

Searching the forums is now available in the search bar at the top of the page. This is the same search bar that runs the store, but when you are viewing the forums, it will change to say "Search Forums" and will search the forums.

    cool i will test it!

Congratz. It works, but some feedback. Please fix the formatting of the results! Or change it to not have all that body copy in the results. Very hard to scan that info to find a useful thread.

I notice the "Quote" button's been going walkies the last day or so. Is this the final definitely-we-mean-it-this-time location, away over on the right, sandwiched between the post body and the .sig block?

  • larsmidnattlarsmidnatt Posts: 4,511

The new quote button is very legible on the dark theme at least, better than the half visible blue quote text of yesteryear/day.

  • RAMWolffRAMWolff Posts: 10,249

I like the new location and giving it it's onw little rounded box is good too... just seemed weird in the beginning, blue text that seemed in the middle of the page floating around.. Looks more organized now...

For the first time I have received a DAZ Forums notification saying that someone has commented on a thread I have contributed to.  I have never subscribed to any forums, but checking my cogs I see that I now have 372 Bookmarks.  Is that the same thing?  And is there any way to unbookmark these all at once?  I shudder at the thought of an e-mail each time someone posts something.  crying

View bookmarks  and then unbookmark them down the list is, I think, the way I did it

FYI, when inserting images into the actual post, if you keep the height around 500 people won't have to scroll to see the entire image and it gives a little leeway. Height is more important than width I think. Someone else mentioned 600 for mobile devices but 500 worked really well for me. Below is a 500 height that I put on my Art Studio thread. And thanks for telling us about the search function- Edit- duh, the search box IS in the forums, never mind!

OK, thanks Chohole.  Well, that was a well spent 20 minutes!

Well, I logged in through the store earlier today, and when I came back tonight, I immediately got signed out again. So that one didn't work either! Gah!

Actually we are resizing to width 800px

Meaning what exactly? Are we talking about the same thing- inserting into the post, not the attachment that you originally add to get the URL? If I do a render in the actual post, and it has, say, measurements of 600 wide by 500 tall, will it resize to 800 wide x whatever tall?

800 wide at most is the goal.

..jolly good.  Now when you click "quote" it actually takes you down to the comment window.

Now we need to get this login mess fixed, older images attached to posts to show again, and keep the SCAYT spell check on all session and we're almost in business

Everything is way too big.  Any way to fix this?  I can't read through everything to find out if it was posted already because everything is SO BIG!

Please give us the option to return the old layout.  The search is also now impossible to use as it gives a full preview of the posts.

Also, how do I edit ,my post?  I wanted to add something to my previous post rather than make a new one.  Also, how do I remove the picture?  I don't want a picture, and the default one looks gross.  Please at least change the default picture to something non-grotesque.  I really would prefer no picture at all.  I DO NOT WANT A PICTURE SO PLEASE GIVE ME THE OPTION!

I only came here to thank DA for the dagger poses, but with the search the way it is, I can't even fdind it!

Please stop updating the forums!  If it ain't broke, don't fix it!  There was ZERO WRONG with them before. Give us back the old layout!  Everything sucks and is way too big!  The search is unnavigatable, it's bewen a wqeek, this should all be fixed already!  Or better yet, change everything back, since nothing was wrong with it before.  Why do all of you sites force this crap upon us?!  I'm still bitter about Gamefaqs' new forum design, and now this...

Also, how do I remove the "Platinum Club" from my post info on the list?  It's none of anyone's business unless I say so.  BTW, the profile thing is a mess.  I couldn't find out how to change my SN on it, and had to go to the OP in this thread.

one thing I do miss seeing, is the view count, now I won't know how many times I've been view except once every 100 views

the view count kinda  lets me know if many are liking  what I posted, if there are many  after I add a render then I know  I did something right, but if not many, then either not many are looking due to not so good work, or a lot of people are not on the forums looking

also the view count helped if I had a question, I could see how many at least looked if they could help, or if many are not looking/reading at all

it's just a little thing, I know, but it had meaning for me

The view count is vastly inflated because if someone looks and then turns a page to view other posts, that is 2 or more added, each time you visit is counted, each time a mod visits, to make sure you are not uploading naughty pics, that counts. It's not really a reliable way of telling how many people are visiting your thread. Probably half the figure that shows on your view count or maybe even less than that

I still miss see it cheeky

I like the new location too .  . . much better for me (not sure how much that matter that it is better for me matters, just adding many more words, to have a longer message  in the bracket then any where else . . and added "WTH" is he doing  moment to this  reply) angel

Give some time. They are working as hard and long as they can to get everything just right. All these fixes aren't going to happen overnight.

Also, how do I edit ,my post?

Click the little gear icon ("options") near the upper right corner of your post you wish to edit.  It will appears when you move your mouse over your post.

Also, how do I remove the picture?

While I don't actually know how to remove it, you could simply change it to be a white square or something, thus you would not have any image there.
