Actually, I've now uninstalled the ones I was using and have put Adblock back as the other one I was using was stopping me from using my 'browse' button! It was a hassle to keep turming it off just to allow it. I've enabled pop-ups on Daz so we'll see what comes up.
CHEERS!
AdBlock Plus can be disabled per-site - I have it disabled for DAZ 3D. I do use NoScript too, and that is still blocking some things here.
A lot of issues have been fixed - I suspect the log in loop is proving hard as, so far, there doesn't seem to be any pattern to indicate its cause. Similarly I'm (not) seeing missing avatars and images which are visible to others with the same browser and plug-ins, which makes the issue a pain to resolve. Reproducible bugs are dead bugs, random bugs are good at skittering out of the way of the stomping boot.
Metrocast didn't have a melt down this morning, and the log-in cycling thing didn't happen here. Yesterday morning between 5am EST and 9am EST, nothing was working correctly. The USGS earthquake map would update, and none of the info pages would load for specific quakes, for example. When it snapped out of that, the daz forum did flip out quite a bit first visit. I have gotten no info at all from Metrocast what the "Major malfunction" was.
It may, or may not be related to others experience. Tho, if Metrocast changed my IP when they fixed there 'Deficiency' yesterday, that may possibly explain some things.
I never had an avatar image until after this new forum started. I uploaded my image, and it is not hosted on gravatar. I just checked with View Image Info and it's on DAZ3D's server. So that last comment is not true...at least not for everyone.

Also, just a little niggle... how about you make the current page number NOT linked?? It's a bit stupid to have a page number still have an an active link to it's OWN page! lmao Silly!
This may just be a temporary glitch, but it looks like the signature lines are now only visible if you are logged in. To me this seems to turn commercial logic on it's head - as though one were to pay a subscription to a TV company in order to see the adverts!
Yep, that's true, I have it turned off for here too. I do wonder what offers I missed while I had everything for here disabled, it was pure chance that I happened upon the one for Olympia 6. So long as you guys have a pretty tight firewall there shouldn't be any pop-up's that we don't want creeping in. I just fell victim to the log in thing, it's really annoying as you get taken to My Account when you do log in. The separate log in should really be reinstated.
By the way, my avatar is fine, I don't know where it is on here, but, it never seems to go anywhere.
CHEERS!
I do like to click on the page I'm on to refresh the page, although the browser button works for that.
You are correct Dana.
I've found it difficult to locate avatars that are not the generic default ones assigned by the forum, and are also not hosted on the DAZ server. I mistakenly used RAMWolff's as an example, not knowing that he actually had a gravatar account. (Apparently, from what I read, Gravatar does not do animated gif avatars.)
So it remains unclear whether we can still upload animated gif avatars directly to this new forum.
In any case, it still appears that the new forum is preventing any animated gifs from appearing in attachments (unless they were already uploaded in the old forum), and I think this restriction should be removed.
Good point, fair enough!
Is there a setting somewhere for a condensed thread view? E.g., look at The Commons, and you have to scroll and scroll to get to even the first non-stickied thread, since the design layout wastes EPIC amounts of space. Each thread is floating in a box with oceans of whitespace surrounding it. Additionally, the fonts used are all many points too large.
A condensed view when reading a thread would also be good. Again, monster fonts abound and there is way too much white space bordering everything.
It may be a caching delay for you.Sometimes local providers do caching on their own as well.
The year of the post date got lost.
I'm seeing the year on older posts - July 2013 instead of July 13. It is a slightly confusing way to format, though.
Yes, but there the day is missing, just month and year. I'd love to have the full date and time on all posts.
It seems to be time, month and date or month and year. You can hover over it to get a pop-up with the full date, though that isn't as convenient.
Thank you, no, not convenient but it's at least available.
I'm guessing you move your finger over it but don't push.
CHEERS!
It does not working with touch on my phone or tablet , not even on my wacom Cintiq unless I use pen for that ... but hover never worked with touch anyway not here or anywhere else
Oh, sorry, I was only guessing as I don't have a smartphone or a tablet.
CHEERS!
Hovering over the date is not a valid solution for mobile users. And it's just over the line of "annoying" for PC users. I'm with Horo, please show the entire date and time without hovering.
Wasn't one of the "plus points" in switching to the new forum in the first place supposed to be "easier to use on a phone/pad"?
Well Spotted Kitty, at least I like the emoticons better!
I don't recall that having been said by anyone who is involved with DAZ 3D.
Why else is everything so huge?

Is anyone working on making sure that the link in emails is either all on one line, or all recognised as a link.
I am heartily tired of cutting and pasing to get to a forum link, or is it something i need to do on my end?
It does seem to depend on the email provider that you are using. I use Yahoo, and read as webmail and I see the links correctly
