I have no intention of using this result, but I just had to try it -
That turned out great!
Hard to match the hair, but I like how pores are showing up.
Face Transfer 2 on Genesis 9 and https://www.daz3d.com/montreal-flip-hair-for-genesis-8-male-and-genesis-9
There is a new version of Daz Studio beta in DIM.
Does anybody has tested it with Face Transfer 2?
Bad week at work here ... have had minimal art time.
Oh, sorry for hearing that.
It looks like the issue is solved according to:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/601796/daz-studio-pro-beta-version-4-22-0-12-updated/p27
but I am not in rush for the update.
If you had an issue that the change log says is fixed it will be very useful if you can confirm that the fix in fact works in your case.
Ok, Richard, I will try to do test it during the weekend.
For today, I have tested how different material change the look of the render
of Genesis 9 created with Face Transfer 2.
and the same character with materials from https://www.daz3d.com/dav-yasaki-for-genesis-9
Ok, I have installed the latest Daz Studio beta (4.22.0.12)
and can confirm that it works with saving characters made with Face Transfer 2.
Below is a happy Genesis 9 character created with it
and with the hair from: https://www.daz3d.com/genghis-hair-for-genesis-9
Thanks for fixing the issue.
Could not resist, so one more Genesis 9 character created with Face Transfer 2
using hair from: https://www.daz3d.com/lee-roy-dforce-bowl-hair-for-genesis-9-and-8-male
A couple of new ones ...
Also ...
Looking great, Paula.
Please keep'em coming.
Those look much more realistic than any character sold in the store.
Ha! I need to go create some more source images. I've gone through some of the best unexplored ones that I had.
Where do you get your source images?
I create source images mostly in Stable Difussion using ComfyUI interface to it.
Below is my latest Face Transfer 2 creation on Genesis 9.
Another FT2 creation.
Yet another FT2 on Genesis 9.
Now it is time for male FT2 creation on Genesis 9.
Source images for my story's major characters came from Artbreeder, which still can be used to create 2D photorealistic faces but that feature is probably buried a bit under a milion other toys Artbreeder offers now.
I was pleased to discover yesterday that thispersondoesnotexist ( thispersondoesnotexist.com (1024×1024) ) is back online. It's a good source for quick one-off characters but it usually takes numerous refreshes to get anything suitable for Face Transfer. I picked up several dozen new ones to play with.
For me the biggest problem is to find suitable morphs for Genesis 9
to fix flat area around a mouth and the chin.
I have already purchased some morphs packages for Genesis 9,
but I am overwhelmed by the number of the morphs included.
I haven't done a lot with morphs with FT2 yet - almost all of these images I've posted were only the FT2 shape + Base Feminine/Masculine. One of these days, I'll take a minute to see what morphs I like best for the purpose.
The biggest problem I've seen with FT2 so far has been hair fit. I'll try to work up some examples later today or tomorrow ... It's housework day here.
If the others were Gensesi 8 then they were still using the current version of Face Transfer 1.
Thanks for the comments, Paula and Richard.
Below is my attempt to fix the shape around mouth and the chin.
What do you think?
I hope that it is at least some improvement.
Here's one of mine. Tweaked it with some morphs to bring out the details. Still need to go back to the texture and iron out the issue on the sides of the nose. That was from the image not the transfer. Image was lighted from both sides of the model so it basically killed the shadows on either side of the nose.
Just keep experimenting.
It is worth it in my opinion.
Sometimes one side of the face looks better
then the other one...
