I will wait for PhilW fixes for FT2 with great interest.
Just one more render of the last creation on Genesis 8 with PhilW fixes and with a smile.
Perhaps an improvement over the original, but the original was also terrible without the fixing morphs. Now we are talking about fixing morphs for FT2. Fixing morphs, not to disrespect here, should never be necessary in the first place. Why not make some fixing morphs for Facegen?
I'd like to see some comparisons to the current version of Facegen, which, BTW, isn't limited to Genesis 9. All the comparisons are to the old Face Transfer.
Hey, all. I know this question isn't about Face Transfer itself but maybe someone here can direct me elsewhere. While testing FT2 in the public build, I've noticed that my system is pegging 100% CPU shortly after I turn on Iray viewport while working with a G9 figure in an otherwise empty scene. This only happens when I'm testing in the 4.22 beta build. If I exit, and run the the 4.21.0.5 that I'm using for my main Daz instance, I can turn on Iray viewport for a similar exercise and it hovers around 5% CPU usage. I'm running an RTX 3090 with 64GB RAM. Sorry - hardware is not my speciality - not sure if this is a known thing with 4.22 or if there's some config setting i don't know about. Thanks, and sorry for the interruption ...
Hi, this was my other experiment with non photorealistic reference image.
It looks like, I need to share some of my reference images together with the renders,
to get more tips and thoughts about Face Transfer 2 conversions.
Did you update your drivers? The version of Iray in 4.22.0.x requires later drivers as a minimum than that 4.21.0.5.
[Edited to fix version number - again.]
Face Transfer 2 on Genesis 9 created from the reference image of the older woman.
I have also applied some morphs to the resulted character.
Another Face Transfer 2 creation.
Yet another Face Transfer 2 creation
just curious, why are you avoiding it now?
Could someone try to use it to make a 3D caricature on the toonish side? Say, like Cartoonized? Or Babified?
Maybe toon created with Face Transfer 2
Another Face Transfer 2 experiment
Yet another creation with Face Transfer 2...
Thanks, pretty good start with those two. I have the FT2 demo on my other PC but not sure if I need to buy it (yet) to try it out. I will try it with some of the more toon type AI caricatures that NightCafe can generate.
Thanks, I just like to experiment with FC2 and throw also different morphs for Genesis 9
to complete the generated characters.
I think, the sky is the limit...
So if I don't want to use the BETA ,I have to wait until the next public build of DS to come out before I can use Face Transfer 2?
don't want to be sued by celebrities
...and politicians who are fair use are too ugly
I don't even prompt celebrities in AI Art
I understand celebrities for personal use and doing family. friends etc is OK
but I have had negative reactions from my familt and friends to their likeness on stuff
the closer the resemblence the worst
Yes, though I imagine they want to get to that point as soon as possible - for which people testing it will be helpful.
I've never tried to do a literal real person. All of my FT creations are from photorealistic AI images, mostly ones I created at Artbreeder, though some from other other sources that have come and gone over time.
yes, this might be the only reason I one day buy it too
I use Facegen to copy 3D characters from other softwares and AI characters already
(I only have FG Artist for Genesis 1&2 but for my use sufficient)
Thank you Richard .
Love AI Cats with cocktails Wendy, and how you animated them.
off topic but Leonardo AI images animated with SEINE image to video in Visions of Chaos on my PC
best not derail thread
lest we suffer the consequences
After using Face Transfer 2 a couple of times,
I have noticed that characters usually lacks definition around mouth and chin area,
so using a correction morphs is a must for me.
I have converted Genesis 8 Face Transfer fixes to Genesis 9,
but because eyes in Genesis 9 are different than from Genesis 9 ones
applying such morphs giving a gap an eye and eye socket..
Below is an example of Male character made with Face Transfer 2.
after applying the corrections morphs looks much better
The above Genesis 9 character viewed from the front.
after applying correction morphs the character looks different and the gaps around eyes are introduced.
Which method are you using to convert them G8 morph? I considered trying that but am limited in that my 4.22 beta is not seeing some of my 4.21 content and I hadn't committed to chasing down a cause and solution.
I have used ManFriday Figure Converter for Genesis 9
I am really amazed by quality of the materials generated by Face Transfer 2.
Below is another example applied to Genesis 9.
@Artini, check the thread for the ManFriday converter - the eyes not fitting anymore is a common problem because they arr separate items now and won't morph together with the rest of the head. In the thread, solutions are offered. It's not a great situation really, but you'll see there are workarounds / fixes. Love your FT heads, by the way!
