What's the one thing you've always wanted to see sold at daz but never have?

Didn't Michael 1-2 have attached gens as well as the original Poser guy; to think that people complain about autofitting now and don't remember the problems those gens caused! The skimpwear can be found at another site... full of images that can be a bit disturbing.  Alien pets?  You will have to show me pictures; I like to think that keeping pets is one of those things that no other species has to do....

I dunno that was before my time. But you can't even leave th gens attached and hidden or clothing deforms around them. I'm sure modeling around gens is inconvenient but  there are a billion female breast morphs and yet the breasts remain attached to the female figure body despite the hassle of modeling clothing around them. Perhaps when clothing is worn they could morph into a bulge

There was once an alien expansion for mil dog but it was pulled from the store.

As far as male skimpwear goes daz store sells it for the women it seems strange to be prudish about selling dude skimpwear  it doesn't need to be hardcore but a bit of parity would be nice. More sexy underwear would be welcome.

Now, I feel old... yep, Michael and the original poser character had attached gens and it was such a mess that both Daz3d and Poser dropped the idea.  The difference between a breast and the gens was that the complexity of the topology made things rather difficult.  i hate to thing we will start going bacwards and reinventing the wheel.  I do have the alien dogs... they were strange.  I'm not sure why an alien would have a dog rather than a cat or something truly alien. Even other species on our own planet don't have pets. I think the skimpwear for men tends toward hardcore is that most men in America tend to wear something rather boing and those that don't choose something a bit more fetish-like?

I hope to do alien pets at some point.

I have some ideas on 'alien' morphs for the Millennium Dog but I need better tools first (if I can get my art income up off the ground I hope to get Mudbox)

I would love it if you did that!  heart

Here are the old alien pet morphs for millenium dog. I wish they weren't discontinued. I would dearly love to have them.

I would love to see some normal everyday houses. Such as brick houses, not the fancy rich people houses but ordinary middle class family houses..and too maybe some house trailers and some double wides.

I would like to see some vehicles too..ordinary vehicles such as ford escapes, toyota camery,...yada yada yada...ordinary everyday living stuffs!

A cat with fur; a basic moggy, but some pedigree breeds would be good too. No the Hive cat is nowhere near good enough imo.

    I don't expect it but:

    A realistic Chihuahua

    Alien Pets

    Males with attached gens

Hair which can be used for different styles, from short,  wet, to growing longer, to ponytail- all essentially the same hair, but with morphs for everyday.

    Male skimpwear

HW3D is working on a dog, the default will be a Golden Retriever, but they've got a Chi morph made already (as well as a Boxer I believe), just needs textures and to be rigged.

Chris always adds heaps of dials so you can get much different looks to the models than just the promo pix. Someone did an alien cat from just dial spins and changing the texture up (and added wings, it was pretty cute).

I have been wanting this for so long. ...Dynamic waves lapping against the shore.. but I've been told fluid simulation is messy and complicated. One can dream.

Fluids used to be a LOT more difficult, but lately they've become relatively easy. If you look at the first 15 minutes of this simple tutorial on Blender's fluid sim you can see that to get a basic water object which you can bring in to D|S, or at least composite into a D|S render, is not that complicated. Although as I recall it's a huge poly count, not sure how D|S will respond.

I may bring my water sim into DS, haven't decided yet.  See my youtube channel for some trials of early versions.

I thought I would show you one of the alien dogs, the hellhound.  I did a quick iRay conversion but my big issue is that the morphs show thier age.

Hasn't that been in the works for a while now? I' seem to recall seeing the Chi morph last year. I'm hopeful, but I've heard of several pa's making dog.... And I haven't seen one hit the market yet.

Not going to happen; the other Utah based 3D content site's male base figure doesn't have them at all when you get him. Mot saying it can't be done, just won't be either of theses stores that do it.

Well, there's also a practical reason. It's not actually flesh and isn't going to crush down under clothes. it'll just POP out of the pants! Better to have it attachable when you want it.

I really can't think of anything right now. If I need a specific model that I can't find at DAZ, I look at other stores, search the web, get it from a game I own or make it myself. I have seen numerous versions of things I want, but they mostly had issues or not entirely what I needed, so can't say they were never sold at DAZ, just not up to my expectations.

I could really use the 3d waves mentioned earlier though. I'd also like a quality, not too resource heavy African elephant

I'd like to see unimesh quality models. Similiar to what a game model is, but a bit better quality for figures you would normally have more than one in a scene. Such as police, soldiers, knights, peasants, etc. With DAZ's obvious push towards game assets (every PA having a game development license now) this seems like the next step in design and makes sense to me. We can create these types of figure now, but with HD morphs and then clothing with multiple quality textures, more than 3 to 4 figures is overkill for most systems. Couple of the games I develop for have AI versions sold with the main, detailed version of a vehicle which is usually a lower poly version with multiple LODS to be plugged in to the game engine to have external vehicles in addition to the internal, main vehicle to save on resources. Would love something like this for DS. say a quality SWAT uniform for Michael 8 and then a lower poly standalone figure with the same gear, textures. rigged and a way to plug in the face texture from Michael 8 to create multiple additional SWAT members without killing your computer

....an eccentric English Country Manor useable for both interior and exterior scenes (maybe set up like the old Dream Home).

....a real 9' concert grand piano with interior details and accurate rigged keybaord (LIke Ness' Harpsichord)

...a big gothic/baroque pipe organ (for all those cathedral models we have) that has an accurate keydesk, pedalboard, and stop jambs.

Yes yes, the pipe organ, but in sections so you could make it compact for a small building or spread out for a Big Building.
I will add this Moller Show organ, at NYMA; in New York.

A modern tour Bus, which can be setup as a Tour Bus.

I'd be happy if all the females I've bought for G8 even had gens mats.    Case in point: Elizabeth, Kiara, Liliana, Rebekah, so far all with NO gen mats.  And countless G3F with no gens mats.  That's just the females.  I can't even think about the guys.  Too depressing.  So yeah, I'd wish for genital mats as a mandatory requirement for ALL make and female characters released here,.

It's too easy to go to the other store to get them, or the naughty store and get them cuz they have a script that will match the skin of your character to the gens.  So Daz needs to catch up to the times, Utah or not.  That's an ongoing 'excuse' for me.  Move to another state like Nevada!

I don't think any store requires vendors to provide them; they do if they want to. Make it mandatory and you risk the vendor leaving if they have no interest in doing them. I know I wouldn't like it, and besides, that also may limit the availability of child characters, which are rare enough as it is.

Not just that, any V8 character is required to have a Gen map with them however, there is no gen template included in the G8 starter pack (unless I'm blind which I kinda am XD) thats probably why it is not compulsory (I do believe it is compulsory for V8 or characters for any daz released figures)

I don't 'check every day, hoping to see any' but I've often wondered if there's a reason why we never see any reasonably realistic models of money on here, since human beings seem to be motivated by it at least as much as by sex, which is absolutely everywhere in Daz Studio. Maybe 'they' think access to 3D models of cash is going to turn us all into a bunch of wanna-be forgers or something, I don't know. There must be a reason why DS youngsters have to get their pocket money paid out in fantasy coinage by mothers with their breasts thrust forward and their hips tilted provocatively to one side, or why DS bank robbers flex their muscles and adopt moody, vacant stares to risk everything for blocky primitives with Shutterstock images of dollar bills showing on two sides. No idea :)

I wonder if its actually just hard to make the cash's softness and the paper texture (look through, patterns etc), I don't think you want a hard rectangular cash but rahter those that looks actually like cash XD

Coins tho, I do think those are a lot easier

I'm not going to hold my breath for this, as I'm not sure if it's possible within Daz, but I'd love a large plus sized female character who's body moves right/poses right.
