A modern style, non-hospital wheelchair, that's my most wanted item.

Bryce 8 and Mardook's proposal: "Maybe a complete set of clothing from an era. We mostly see a bit here and there... never complete." For me, Roman, Greek, Mayan, Aztec, Baroque and Rokoko would do. ;-)

    ...yeah, latecomer to the thread.

May as well throw in Hexagon 3 (64 bit) for good measure.

I know they never will but I echo this sentiment. I adore hexagon, I find it vastly easier to use than any other software out there -but it needs some bug fixes and some streamlining and if it got it, I think it would blow away the competition. it's logical ease of use is second to NONE.

And yet I hate the UI; each to their own, and why having multiple choices is always good. The bridge didn't make up for the other irritations I had with it (and no it never crashed for me as I recall).

..compared to the one other "affordable option", I find the UI to be a breeze to work with. It is the "freezng up" and crashing I wish they would fix.

I'll put in my vote for Hexagon. It's very good, it has a clear menu and it's almost exclusively my modelling software. But it's a pity that smoothing stuff out or having too many poly's will render an error message because it's still 32 bit. I have 24GB of RAM, damn it! Let me use it!

...exactly. This is part of why I feel some of the instability would disappear if they could just get it out from under the 32 bit 2GB limit.  Crikey even with the 12 GB I have it would be a huge improvement.

    Posable guitar strap.

Swords with scabbards and belts/harness which fit the human figure.

I am tired of armor and warrior clothing sets that are equipped with swords but have no scabbard or sheath for the person to carry the weapon in when not actually using it.  Seeing renders of people playing guitars while standing with NO STRAP bothers me.  It is impractical and nearly impossible to rock out with a free-fall guitar.

I have a few different island and wave models.  But, I haven't found that the waves look convincing up close.  I'd really love a shoreline with convincing breakers and foam...complete with a sand shelf that you can see the bits of shell, seaweed, and sand ripples and depressions.

I have been wanting this for so long. ...Dynamic waves lapping against the shore.. but I've been told fluid simulation is messy and complicated. One can dream.

Fluids used to be a LOT more difficult, but lately they've become relatively easy. If you look at the first 15 minutes of this simple tutorial on Blender's fluid sim you can see that to get a basic water object which you can bring in to D|S, or at least composite into a D|S render, is not that complicated. Although as I recall it's a huge poly count, not sure how D|S will respond.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmw-BTCbWMw

I'll check this out... I've tried learning Blender but there is something about the user interface that drives me crazy

A tool that allows ANY 3D clothing or hair to be used as a dynamic, doesn't crash and isn't difficult to learn. Probably better off asking for world peace, but it's worth a shot.

Hair which can be used for different styles, from short,  wet, to growing longer, to ponytail- all essentially the same hair, but with morphs for everyday.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why a smart vendor doesn't capitalize on making one hair with multple bangs to choose from, multiple style for temple, scalp and back with classifications for different style for roughly the same length hair (for character continuity) and sell it. It would be more expensive of course but so worth it!

Not as big of a scope as wanted, but multiple bangs, buns and tail options

    https://www.daz3d.com/topmodel-updo-hair-and-oot-hairblending-2-0-for-genesis-3-female-s

I tend to think that vendors that rely on income, will be more cautious about what they produce. Many products can be hit or miss, not because of features, but other smaller things like the way something looks, sits, fits, etc. In the above addon, I don't care for half of the options, so I almost passed on it even though alot of work went into it and it's multiple options

I'd rather have a series of hair styles that look like they belong together than one hair prop that tries to do it all. Like a hair prop with the same hairline and length throughtout the series, but done in different styles. I definitely need one for a character. I need an updo when she works in an office, a ponytail for when she is out on the field, and a non styled hair for when she is at home. Its hard to make the different hair props match using several hair props at the same time, and matching shaders, wasting precious computer resources on a scene with 3 hairs on top of one head.

I'd like to see a short hair series, shoulder length, and long, with style morphs to make them curly and the all important wind morphs. I'll pay extra for expansions to make fly morphs, upside down morphs and laying down morphs. I need action hair series for the active women in my stories.

Somewhere on the ghosts of the old forums, there's a post from me requesting almost exactly this.

Now, there are some styles that you can look at and go - yeah, that's prety close (the hair that comes with Maja, Dream Hair and a semi-formal updo I can't remember the name of are a set I use often for G2F) but an official (or semi-official) "line" of hair styles made this way would be very welcome.  And yes, to be seen as such, they need to be marketed as such (perhaps with a bundle once all the styles of a given length were done)

Sumerian, Prehelenic (non the typical ancient greek), Mesopotamian and bronze age era with a wide range of accurate ultrarealistic historic clothes and building kits for cities, houses,  markets, temples, palaces, ceremonial weapons, armors and jewelry...

Toddlers and babies for Genesis 8.

Script for dynamic hair animation in daz.

Better gore in general with a wider variety in walking dead monstrosities and gore action and amputation or devastating wound details.

The more realistic and widely extended Tears and Dramatic expressions never seen, for genesis 8.

New cats, at genesis 8 level of realism.

A construction kit bundle for modern big Malls Centers and Supermarkets.

A construction kit bundle for little animal aliens (no bosses, just background fillers) with many add-ons to even wider diversity.

I keep hoping to see Dynamics Cloth (that users can make - I may break down and get VWD, then of course DAZ would release a new GPU accelerated integrated plugin the next day). Dynamic hair, and full physics (including fluids, smoke, and fire, collisions, etc.).

Well then, hurry up and get VWD! LOL

Well, new or improved dynamic cloth should show up in DS very soon since I just broke down and got VWD (it will still be very usable in Carrara though even if DAZ puts something better in DS).

...no, when I finally get it is when Daz will introduce an open ended cloth dynamics engine. Keep in mind I am the one with the supermart checkout curse (where the peson in front of me has some "problem" that requires both an assistant an the market's manager to resolve that takes at least 15 extra minutes minimum) as well as the one who whenever I try to cross a street, that is when a bunch of cars just happens to show up at the same time.

Hmmm ..... I thought I was the only one with that probelm. For me, the delay is always directly proportional to the time I have available cool

I thought the Supermarket Checkout Curse was unique to me. Seriously, it's become so predictable that I've even thought of sorting myself out a t-shirt with 'Don't stand behind me - I've picked the wrong checkout!' printed on the back. If it's such a common problem then maybe we've unwittingly unearthed the next big G8 clothing seller :)

I have a variation on this.  As I approach the Denton interchange, on the M60 motorway, in the evening rush hour, the traffic starts to snarl up.  No matter which lane I go in, it always ends up the slowest.

    Cheers,

I'd really like a way of organizing my files outside of daz better, so a tool that can name, move file content would be great. This way if something happens to my install and content library it can be rebuilt by me easily rather than this whole lame right click, create a product kind of business. Yes I realize I can do this manuallly, but nope, I'm not going to. I have more than 5000 dim installed files and at least a thousand bought elsewhere.

  • EquisVoid, babies and toddlers apparently don't sell well enough for DAZ to justify producing more; that's why the newest ones date from around 2007-2009, not counting the toddler morph in Genesis.

Serene Night, something like that probably could be done, but would probably be an application created by a PA rather than an official DAZ product, much like the Content Package Assistant.

I'd like to be able to use dim or something similar to 'tag' files by type and generation. I'd also like to tag content that is only for 3delight such as shaders and light sets. Primarily because I don't use those anymore. But the file names of content rarely tells me whether it works for Iray or whether an item is for 3dl . Then I'd want the Iray lights in the Iray light section the 3delight lights in their section and perhaps hdri and emissive shaders in a specific area.

once I can tag items I want all items of a specific type to go a specific place. I want to be able to back up this categorization so,that If my machine crashes I can restore the content to the correct locations

For legacy poser stuff I want all content properly sorted as well. Not stuff in fifteen different places.

I also want to be able to strip out the vanity folders as well and designate one location for documentation. I'd like to also be able to correct typos from daz installers

I want content properly organized so I can find it.
