Today's complaint: was just doing my groceries, strolling aboot, when suddenly my tummy decides that YES! In the middle of the bakery section of the store is a PERFECT moment for a massive stomach acidity attack and all that stuff which goes with it!

So I proverbially crawled to the bakery's cafe -- cold, shivering, bent, sweaty, pale, looking like death warmed over or a junkie in need of a fix. Got myself a big cup of plain water and poured some antacids to it and just went at it.

Except this time it failed to neutralize it.

The rest of the shopping tour was highly unpleasant.

Seems like my stress factor is shooting up, waaaaaay up.

If you do have acid reflux disease, regular antacids will not help. Don't believe those commercials. The things may work fast for regular indigestion, but Prilosec (or the generic omeprazole) is designed for acid reflux. They really deceive when they say "that one takes 24 hours to take effect...but Tums works right away!" The thing is, with the prescription, you take it every day, and you never get the acid in the first place. Don't ignore this condition, see your doctor. It can damage your throat if it happens repeatedly.

the voice changer demos, sounds so obviously computery.

before the morphing voice, though, gonna need to find s/w to clean up ambient noise.
was looking at sony sound forge pro, haz bad reviews about support.

remorse - all the wasted months on the movie treatment. groan/cry, with no thought to cinema style or kewlness. but it was all before i watched ironman, avengers, troopers

i mean, the very first thing the audience should know about the story?
show the planet from space so they know it's not earth
or Aiko bathing as the opening scene so audience knows there is pretty naked ladies
    show a dragon first?
reasons why movies don't closely follow the book
start with an adverb? - :)

checking out cardioid mic like you recommended.
    is this good? http://www.amazon.com/Shure-WH20XLR-Dynamic-Microphone-Cardioid/dp/B0001DBZNM
it doesn't say anything about connecting to pc

what am i doing, don't know

i should text my manager, work monday, make the extra moola to buy the mic and the voice s/w, then take a week off in sept. the kid will be in school, i'll be in the house alone to record some blood curdling zombies eating my brain death screams, lol
gonna record the lines lying in bed, hooked up to the netbook

silly isn't an adverb? it has ly

wishingly i could do a craig furgeson accent. can take the girl out of brooklyn, but is hard to take the brooklyn out of my accent. lol me and Marisa Tormei.
tried a bit of alec guines. :) i put lip sync phrases in the rmp freebies a while back, "he's dead jim"

Looks like it plugs right into the mic jack. That kind of a mic has good noise rejection, and will be easier to sing into than a handheld. Unless you're touring, you'll be fine.

You'll still need to do cleanup on the recording, maybe hit it with some compression to even the volume.

I hate these forums. I had to sign out, clear cookies and all browser cache, and log in to actually get a post in.

This is some of the most lame, unprofessional, amateurish software I've ever seen the ignorant spend money on.

I'm going into the cloud services business, maybe I can bilk Daz out of thousands and not provide a stable service, or even smileys.

I could get rich off the idiots that think "Cloud" automatically means "good"

15 tries to post and always "My Dashboard". If I wrote software like this my ass would be fired on the spot and I'd never work in the business again. :-S

    P. T. Barnum was right.

ICFPL, WIP #3 - not happy with the fog effect at all, or it's impact on render times. I might post the fog in, or try shading a deformed primitive with a 3D texture to simulate the fog planes. Because, this takes WAY too much time to render.

Yeah - thanks again for the critique! It really DID look way too clean, now it looks more like the last drive-in I was at. ;-P

Now it's trying to get an eerie green fog under the FGM.. yargh.. should be some work.. :-S

...looks really good. Do you have the Garbage Cans set? that has a couple old styled metal rubbish cans.

I would also add a few more of the grass tufts in just randomly placed.

If you have Eva's Urban Environment Shaders. there is a cracked concrete texture you can use for the pavement.

For green fog, after loading the fog tool in select it in the scene tab then go to the surfaced tab. Expand and select both "Fog A" and "Fog B". You can then just go to the Diffuse channel and select diffuse colour . you can even make it glow by going to the ambient channel. selecting the colour you want (usually this should be a few shades lighter than the diffuse) and then increasing the ambient level to taste.

It is also best to have the fog planes oriented perpendicular to the camera you are rendering through to get the best effect. There are different presets in the Poses tab you can use to change the effect tab I would suggest are "Wavy Random" or one of the "Creepy" settings. There are also pose controls in the parameters tab listed under "Other" you must select the "Fog Control" bone in the scene tab to get these to show up.
