I picked up the base figure, since I liked her but really didn't want the bundle. I wonder why Daz decided to make Celani the first core figure avalable for both G3F and G8F, at this impressively late date.
Well I feel like a broken record but once again I don’t like the Daz core character but I do like some of the PA characters. Actually, looking at her again, I do like her face a lot, it’s just her body I don’t like, and I always drastically change bodies anyway. But the clothes are not sexy enough for me, show very little skin and all the boots are flat. Did the #metoo movement really ruin sex appeal? I filled my cart just to see if anything would be worth it, but only one add on in each category doesn’t make it worthwhile for me. All the “free” Daz Os will be free again hopefully with a bundle I like better and a better deal. If the coupon applied to the addons and choice of freebies too, I’d definitely reconsider. Please bring sexy back! I bet you anything sexier outfits with high heels would sell better!

I didn't buy the bundle yesterday because even with the purple banner, I didn't think the deal was good enough, even though the base figure and items are good. I did put items into my cart, but decided it wasn't worth it.
I log in this morning to find the extra 25% off coupon, so I decided to rebuild the cart to see what difference the voucher made.
Pro bundle alone (with voucher): $49.60 - so a nice price, but no extras for the deal.
Pro bundle+4 cheapest add-ons: $63.14 - still a little steep, so I decided to see how the $15 from each of the categories would improve the overall value. I gave up after 10 minutes. Most of the categories are full of things that have been offered many times before. I didn't want them then, and don't want them now. To make matters worse, Daz still can't seem to get the sort by "New Arrivals" to work - why is a genesis 2 figure appearing third when sorted in this way. It just makes it too tedious to trawl through pages of old content looking for something that will fit into the $15. I also noticed a lot of items where their price seems to have increased yesterday when they were put in these categories.
Lately, every time I look at the deals for pro bundles, I feel like we are all unwittingly taking part in a big marketing experiment. "Will they pay just this bit more this time?" "Ok, what if we offer 25% off, to get it below x price, but without the extras?" "If we offer $15 off this, but price everything just above $10 and $5, how much extra can we get them to pay in order in order to use their $15?"
I understand that Daz is a business, and businesses need to make money. Lately though I don't know whether Daz are in trouble and really need to make more money - hence the increase in pro bundle releases and the diminishing of the deals that go with them, or whether someone from high is pushing for higher profits and these are the results we are seeing. Either way, I'm not going to bother until a pro bundle comes out that is either VERY different from what has come before (I'm thinking along the lines of Ollie), or is offering a good deal that I don't have to spend hours picking over old content to take advantage of.
Unfortunately, all of this again detracts from the hard work that PAs must have put in to create the bundle content. Put this bundle with the type of deals that you were offering in the past and it would be an instant buy.

It's okay to prefer sexier clothing (which is actually pretty abundant) but there's no need to get political about it by blaming a much needed movement

Someone had an interesting idea in the Requests section. I've been advocating for both high and low heeled versions of boots in the same product package for a while now, but PA's arent interested in doing that. So this other person suggested maybe making the interesting bits of the boots as addons that you could fit on top of a basic boot. That way, if there was some interesting armor pattern or some such, you could put say the Amazing Morphing Boots underneath the boot armor and choose whichever heel height you like!

I ended up drinking the kool aid and grabbing this bundle. I blame Adiene and Vex for making Dezzi so friggin' beautiful! (IMHO) Plus, the bundle has a car in it...
Definitely stretching my Daz budget a bit too far these days. Time for a breather. Of course, the fact that I just said that means I just jinxed it... and there will probably be some really cool thing that I will really really want released shortly...
Did you actually select New Arrivals? It appears to be set by default, but if you look at the URL it is in fact using Popularity most times.

The main reason some people want flats is for "believability" since high heels aren't practical in combat. Suspension of belief has its limits. Not everyone is doing pinup renders or wanting to use these outfits on female characters. (I've had bad luck using heels on G8M and others don't want their guys wearing heels.)
I think I'm also the only one not too bothered by the open toe boots because a few shonen anime come to mind that have characters who wear these types of shoes, so I think it's great for cosplay and kitbashing.
I hadn't looked at her in my runtime yesterday, but @nicstt your comment made me curious if her 'Actor' was in her file so I just opened DS and started to load her. I found two figures, one marked Celani 8 for Genesis 3 Female. So that explains the number of add-on PA characters that have both G8F and G3F versions.
So she is there with an extra treat for those who still work mostly in G3 characters.
I am glad that Daz did the 25% extra off of Celani pro bundle. Finally, my cart price was more reasonable and I pulled the trigger. I am very happy I did too and Celani renders very well just out the box! Unlike some others on this forum, I really enjoy the unique and different body sculpts for the core figures like Celani. There are many body and face types out in the world, and I prefer to use quality sculpted base figures as the starting point for my dial spinning. I would rather not spend countless hours dial spinning a mediocre base version of Celani or Nida from a Vicy 8 base model, that I would then modify even more to create my character. A quick example, I can easly create a older asian grandmother with Mei Lin or asian style character and aging morph packages, however since Mei Lin's body (most G8 bodies) is not scrupled with extreme curves, as well as body to hight proportions with those curves, I will never get a very close match to Mrs Chow's default sculpted body and details to build / dial out from. I own way too many characters, and I now only like to buy well sculpted unique characters to add to the "gene pool". Also side note, love the outfits and vehicle as well! Thanks PA's and Daz!

Thanks, Richard - you are correct - it shows as "New Arrivals" under the "Sort by", but isn't actually doing that. But I feel that my point still stands - why hasn't anyone at Daz bothered to fix that?

Not everyone wants sexy, nor does everyone have the same idea about what constitutes sexy, and “sexualized” is not the same as “sexy”.
Somehow I really don't see a lack of sexy ladies here in the shop. But maybe that depends on the definition of "sexy". And I also have no problem with some base figures not fitting in the "pro clothing model" category.. there's lots of PAs that manage to make these kind of figures out of the less stereotyped base figures.
So, sorry, but I'm completely on the other edge of the thought line... I'm in for even more non-model-ish figures. But I agree, that there are still too few "normal" (= non six-packed) male figures around.

On the whole sexy debate, remember different strokes for different folks. Myself, I really wanna see Bethany 8 come out.
I think the clothes in the Pro Bundles have been very full coverage for some time.
Like, compare and contrast Lilith 6 versus Lilith 7 and there being no place for Lilith 8. QED, I think.
There have been weird exceptions here and there, like Genus Unknown from Zelara 8. (Want to sell me on dForce? DO MORE OF THAT.) Mostly, it's full coverage outfits of varying types in a way that obliterates the human form under layers and layers and piles of draping dforce sheets, with no decolletage and full bum coverage.
I mean, just look at Kayo 8's unitards (two or three of them (depends on how you count the Tigress Outfit), covering all the way up), like it would have killed them to show some cleavage aside from the one truly good outfit in the bundle. "Sexy" does not really seem to apply to Kayo even though she's got a good face, she's trim and athletic, and wrestlers wear really form-fitting outfits... it's just a weird bundle, and I like Wrasslin!
However, I think the store also shifted policies with anatomical coverage. And criticizing store policies isn't going to do anything but get the comment removed, so it is what it is.
It's just strange you can do a Scar (I mean, haven't we cancelled Conan the Barbarian? and Robert E. Howard?)... but could they do Red Sonja? I'll believe it when I see it. (And if people think Red Sonja is sexist, tell that to the women who write for her today.)
