I've just noticed that it's only when the browser window width is greater than about 1140 pixels that you get the wasted whitespace left and right. So if you view the DAZ store with a narrower browser window you won't ever see the wasted whitespace left/right
Try viewing the DAZ store page while changing your browser window width:
However, when the browser window width goes above 1140 pixels the product block size reduces as if a fifth product was being added to each row - but it isn't.
That sounds like a bug in the coding.
Edit: I've just realized that at 2000 pixels width, when it goes from 4 products per row to 5 products per row, the product block size does not change. Assuming that this is intentional, then a side-effect will be that wasted space right/left for page widths between 1140 and 2000 pixels.
So it's not a bug, it's a feature !
(and it does actually make some sense)
Ah, yes, that's what it is. In any event, it doesn't expand to text on the PC+ sale page the way it does on other pages.
Perhaps the purpose of the proliferation of blinding white is to encourage us to avoid the Shop page and get off of the site quickly. If so, it is a resounding success in my case.
Have any of you clicked on gallery images on the individual product pages and they go to the main gallery page, not the image for that particular product? That's happened to me several times since the store redesign.
Is anyone else seeing all the other box elements below the thumbnail image gradually falling lower and lower? Not visibly, but it does seem to be getting more and more spread out every day I come to the store. It's getting ridiculous — the icon row (which displays PC+/DO status) is closer to the thumbnail below and seems disconnected from the one it's supposed to be for. I'm not immediately recognising that something is PC+ or DO like I could before this mess started.
DAZ, this is not working. Implement some of the suggestions made here, or you're going to start losing customers.
Aaaand I've just got a Cloudflare 502 Bad Gateway error overlaid transparently on top of this page as I've been typing my reply. I didn't know that could happen.
Shows how fleeting (my) memory is ... am I mistaken in thinking that the PA used to be identified in the promo thumbnails? Even if not, I think that would be a helpful addition.
That's what happens if the image has been removed. The thumbnail is cached on the Daz Deals server and it doesn't get updated often. I've had a picture linked well over a month after I had deleted it.
O.M.G. Now everything jiggles like Jell-o (TM) when you move your mouse over the page as the text expands when you hover over an item. LOL.
Just allow two lines for the text. Anything is better than the jiggling. No one wants to need dramamine to shop online.
Adding to the undulations, if the text line for the price and discount is too long, the green "Add to Cart" button switches from horizontal to vertical, pushing down everything below the item name.
This is an honest question I have to ask now, not rhetorical — who designed this mess? It's getting beyond a joke that every time some element of the DAZ store is reworked, it ends up less easy and obvious to use.
It looks Great!
WHY would they make the Cart/Buy and Purchased indicators the SAME colour?
On the main store page / big thumbnails the "purchased" logo is blue instead of green, and the cart button is inverted (white with green lines) when in cart. That is much easier to use IMO, they should use that everywhere (in carousels for example).
I know, this thing is STILL a mess... But some people believe Daz can do no wrong - sigh
On the Fast Grab page, the Sale Banner blocks out the Wishlisted icon. Brilliant.
The store needs to be optimized for mobile! Everything used to work fine, first the scrolling banner became a big pain on mobile - it moves too fast and as soon as you click on the main promo, it actually goes to the next promo page so I often have to click six or seven times to get to the correct page, it’s so annoying! And when I’m in a forum thread in the Commons and want to go back to the main Commons, it keeps going to the gallery.
And now the layout is a mess in both portrait and landscape mode. Many people shop on iPads or smartphones, why have they made the site incompatible with them? Everything was fine last year. Why do they keep making these terrible design choices for mobile???
And look at at this mess and still a swirly at almost 10:00 AM!
One additional point. If you widen the web browser window then the Shop, Technology, etc, list will shift to the right of the Daz 3D logo and thereby be further from the 3D Models and Assets row.
I have Daz site set to 110%. But if I go back to 100%, then I don't get the overlap, but I also don't have the size that I prefer. Since this worked before, why don't they just make the button smaller so that it doesn't overlap? My ticket is 5 weeks old.
I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but, according to an reliable source, the new store software is supposed to go live around the middle of next week (28 or 29 October??). Assuming, off course, that it actually works.
And those of us who have a crippled Install Manager that refuses to log us on, the store update is suppose to fix DIM, too... I'll believe it when I see it.
I hope your sources are better informed than the ones who promised those Nvidia cards with double the VRAM. The last Daz post about the store software mentioned the end of the year.
When Daz want information releasing, they will post it publically themselves ;)
So...we'll never know?
You beat me to it.
Category goof:
There will be a heads up when the changeover is planned :)
I ran into an issue today with an inactive item I had previously purchased. I was trying to find out what the texture set was for and thought to use my Product Library, only to stare dumbfounded at an almost blank page, that only gave me download and a date of purchase, along with an image. Through a lot of searching in my files of promo pages I found the release pages for Persian Palce Decor 1, and that it was for Aslan Court 1 Decor 1. Which I found under Jack Tomalin.
I would like to suggest a cross-reference on the Product Library page to a required product so someone can identify it easily. When a texure artist like Moyra leaves, it is hard to track down all the files she worked on as she was excellent and prolific.
(And since Persian Palace 3, .duf files are blocks of grey, I am glad I downloaded the Poser files which work nicely.)
Store will be upgraded on November 1st along with other updates..

There once--a few months ago or so--was more useful information on the Product Library pages, but apparently it is really important that we all see that DAZ Central exists when we download our purchases. At first, even the order number had been removed, though that has now been restored, but the rest of the useful information is still MIA.
we need a mushroom emoji
I hate the new black webdesign. I hope they switch back to the classic white!
It looks unprofessional. Was it done by a student or a noob? It gives a horrible product overview. Way to much spaces between the information.
Morph information is put below each other; the overview is lost.
To see if the product is in a bundle, you have to scoll and click open way to below.
And if you look at a bundle product, the bundle information is now only to see with a slider!?!.
And overal way to much click and open for finally seeing what you need to know.
Where is the Heart icon now; save to the wishlist? The is so much faulty at this new webdesign!
Absolutely horrible. Pls switch back to the classic white!
