Wasn't this bad when Enix was in charge of the series, I can say that much. Everything changed when Squaresoft and Enix merged - in some ways for the better, in others for the worse.
Enix did a great job promoting and advertising Dragon Quest (At the time Dragon Warrior in the US, due to them not having the rights to use the name Dragon Quest) and it did very well both in the USA and in Japan.
Squaresoft did a similarly good job doing the same with Final Fantasy.
They become Square Enix, and they continue promoting both games... For a while. They then shift gears into dumping all their promotions into Final Fanatsy, and doing the least amount possible for Dragon Quest. They then see the game they spent minimal effort in promoting didn't do as hot as the game they just spent tons of effort promoting, and they come to the conclusion "Oh hey, the west hates this franchise! Let's never ever localize it again."
In Japan however, they still promote it as much as Enix ever did.
Still, there's one new DQ game coming out internationally soon enough, but I'd really like 'em to translate the Monsters 2 remake they just did. :/

I remember that guy from the original DragonWarrior Monsters 2 way back on the gameboy color. Back then he was the "Best" dragon-family monster you could get. Orligon... Didn't think he was so large :)

...love to do that myself, however, here in the States, if you are not born to a railroading family, you are out of luck.
DragonQuest Heroes. For the Playstation 4, and from what a friend told me it looks like its styling after Final Fantasy Dissidia. DragonQuest fighting game huh, dunno how that'd play out - but I enjoyed Dissidia so if it plays similar then that'd be pretty cool to see in DQ's style :lol:
I do love DQ, but I dunno if I'd buy a console just for that one game :)
Never saw much a reason to get a PS3, but with the Final Mix editions of Kingdom Hearts being released internationally after like, ever... I might have to now. Square Enix announced they'd be releasing Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Xbox One as well as the PS4, so now I don't have any reason to get a PS4 at all :lol: (was going to get one to play KH3, but if it's on the Xbox One, a console I already have, then no need for the PS4!)

Me, too. One time...only one time...I looked at a job for a delivery driver. Since then, I get loads of job suggestions...some of them driving big rigs. I have no desire for that.

Car engine designers have things that go KABOOM all the time. The story goes that Lotus got hold of a new Coventry Climax engine to modify for racing. I have hope! :cheese: I have several ideas for kids games, and a couple of adult ones as well. I have no end of design ideas..
..just sparse resources. Thankfully I've worked with some brilliant game designers, and having the burden of writing the engine AND the gameplay code taken off me allows me to focus on THE GAME and not getting pixels to screen.
Tried the Unity 5 demo project last night.. *just* playable on my lame HD3000 graphics card. :blank: my first game is going to be 2D, that'll play fast anywhere, and be a great exercise while I save up for a laptop with a graphics card less then 4 years old... :blank:

I saw a weather map last night that showed you at one end of this mess and me at the other. Either we're both unlucky or together we control the universe. I pick the latter. Bright blue sky here, very little ice (could have been much worse, 39F. Redbud trees and wild verbena are blooming.
Minor complaints:
- Need a laptop with a better graphics chip
- Nearly slipped on the ice on the stars at home today :gulp:
- Nearly out of ground coffee at work :bug:
Non-complaints:
- Warming up niceley, should hit 38F today, 52F tomorrow
- Bacon cheeseburger for lunch! :cheese:
- FOUR DAY WEEKEND!
- Bottle of Apple Crown Royal chilling down at home, for tonight
- Buying some BEER on the way home, beer and Crown shots all night :vampire:
Played a bit with Unity 5 last night, everything loads slow but the demo project ran at an acceptable speed on my ancient HD3000 card. I tried one UE4 demo and it.. sat there.. I'm thinking "UE4 isn't that scalable. :long:
Tonight or tomorrow it's the Corona SDK. :coolsmile:

here my complaint. Its a BIG one
I had received a new credit card on January 25th 2015 because my old one expired on Fed 2 and since it was a new credit account. I was saving it for all the March madness sales here at daz and at renderosity. I was very excited to say the least.
Anyway, to make a long story short. I used my new credit card 5 times . twice at Daz on Feb 25th totally $23 in purchases and 3 times at renderosity on feb27. giving me a total of $66 in charges on this fresh brand new credit card.. I had never used it anywhere else. EVER! . On Monday morning I got a phone call from Mastercard telling me that they had put a freeze on my card. they said It appears someone "Hacked" either daz or renderosity credit card servers and attained my credit card information and tried to rack up $8000 in charges on it in the UK. .they tested it twice first then went crazy. I had a $10,000 limit on the card.. Luckily i had fraud protection & alert on my service and caught it before the charges went through.
Anyway now I am very sad. because I have no new credit card, it will be 30 days before they will issue me the new one. I have other credit cards I can use. But not knowing where the hack came from. I do not dare to buy anything in fear of being hacked again. I never use my debit card for online shopping.
So anyway I called on the phone and reported this hack to both daz and renderosity and both sites told me later in a e-mail they checked their systems and found no issues.
So now here is my complaint.. how can I trust shopping at these 2 sites when one of them compromised my credit cards. . I can say this because . Daz and renderosity are then only 2 sites I used this brand spanking new credit card on. so something happen on one of these site in order for this hacker to get my credit card information. but both sites say there is no issues with their systems. So now what am I suppose to think? i did not use that card anywhere else.
I have a ton of stuff i have wish listed on both sites waiting for these march madness sales . But now it looks like the hackers wins. and I am going to loose out on these sales. because until i find out how my card got compromised I am very leery of doing any more shopping at 2 of my favorite 3d sites.
