Rain tonight is going to turn to ice! :bug:

They're predicting an INCH OF ICE, then abou t 2-3 inches of SNOW on top if it! :ahhh: :ahhh:

Might be a snow day tomorrow, cabs won't come out and the buses stop running. :blank:

I'm fairly well supplied but I think I'll grab some half-and-half on the way home... :blank: Maybe some beer as well.. :)

I hate snow and ice. :shut:

Then it's nap time all day, but in the last snowstorm power never even blinked. Worse case, walk 1/2 mile to McDonalds or IHOP.

"Something useful in the short term" vs "Something useful in the long term" :)

SD Card would be useful a lot longer

..ice storms...yuck! When I hear even the mention in a forecast. I head to the market to stock up and plan to not leave the house until it warms up and melts. I live on a hill and at 61, no way am I about to take up downhill skating with no skates.

How can I tell if DIM is crashed or just taking forever to load?

...saving mine (as well as the remainder of a GC) in hopes Stonemason releases Urban Sprawl 3 when his store comes up in the sale. Gonna be an expensive set (US2 is 49$) so need all the savings I can get.

Really difficult as Dogz's store is still featured and I have all three of the Old Railway sets (which would work well for the UK part of my story) on the wishlist. Should Sprawl 3 not be released yet, hopefully out there will be a catch up sale so I can get the three railway sets.

...t sometimes takes a while to load on system so best to be patient.

You can also check the applications tab in Windows Task Manager and it will tell you if it is in "running"' or "not responding" status. If it says "running" again be patient. it may just be taking time to load your entire downloads library or also be due to bandwidth issues.

When I was a kid in the 60s we lived on a hill. The street was only two blocks. But when we had an ice storm, I was thankful for the chain link fences that everybody had.

I think I did. And I think it was good. It was somewhere between 1996 and 2000. I was working at COMDEX/3KeyMedia Events at the time, and everyone went to this Indian buffet in Cambridge. There was a lot of good food. I think the Tandoori Chicken had a red sauce on it. If that's it, it was good. I went back for seconds of that. I also got seconds of the stew. It was goat stew. The meat reminded me of lamb, same kind of texture and similar flavor. They also had a desert thing that seemed to be Cream of Wheat hot cereal, but it was a sort of bright yellow and it was sweet. I had seconds of that, too. I can't remember the name of the place, but I can see it in my mind, the outside and the inside. It's been a long time, so who knows if it's even still there.
