    ...indeed it is very time consuming particularly if you have built up layers of it to give it more depth.  That's also just for head hair on humans an entire fur covered form would be torture.

    Was hoping for a Manx based on Zeus but the way it sounds that isn't going to happen.

    All the Zeus stuff is marked as inactive in the store now. sad Guess I'm glad I already bought it.

    I really wanted to get the Sphynx but was waiting for a sale. Hopefully it will turn up elsewhere.

    If Daz drops Zeus entirely, my guess is Zeus's characters will be transfered to Mars barring contractual agreements preventing this. I wonder if the Savannah Cat for Mars morphs will work with Zeus; if not, guess I'll be buying Mars as Zeus' developement ends. If only Vyusur could just transfer Zeus to Rendo and continue development there. What a mess.

    If Zeus is unavailable... and he's not under Vyusur's store... then I guess this thread is not needed any more  :(  Bummer... I was liking all the artwork with him.

    Be well everyone... I won't be buying the rendo version... No need to have 2... I'm quite happy with what I have.

    I feel the same way. I also don't think I'll get it. But that's the risk with getting PA figures. You never know if they'll disappear or become unsupported.

     True, but it's not as if the DAZ cat has been showered with a lot of love (innovation, characters, ...) lately either...

    yes PAs often move on but what took me by surprise was when some of the DAZ+ ones did

    (yet another reason I cannot be bothered rejoining)

    especially one who's textures are all for DAZ+ products
    we cannot speculate but it may be possible to use Zeus and Mars stuff interchangeably as it is the same mesh, some editing of the duf might just be needed for names of dsf files etc

    Thanks for taking the trouble! I'd really love to continue adding to Zeus, but I can't justify buying the base cat all over again, with Mars.

    I just find it odd to be able to transfer Generation 3 characters up to Genesis 8, but I can't easily use breed morphs between two cats with the same meshes. Oh well. I guess there's AM's house cat to look forward to... someday...

    well since the same mesh obj export and morphloader will definitely work out the box you would need both cats though, but we would want all the correctives so editing the duf and or dsf files would be better, I won't be on my computer for a few hours yet and I cannot do anything more than look and say if possible anyway as cannot redistribute anything.

    Its up to Vyuser herself to give more information.

    OK this was simpler than I thought

    copying the sphynx folder from 

    My Drive:\My DAZ 3D Library\Data\Vyusur\Cat Zeus\Zeus\Morphs\Vyusur

    to

    My Drive:\not Daz content\Data\Vyusur\Cat Mars\Mars\Morphs\Vyusur

    works

    I have the sliders under actor for Mars now and the HD morph works too, bear in mind any future morphs will not be HD but with fur that probably is not a problem, the naked sphynx was the only breed that needed it.

    and you can load the character on it with fur

    So the Savanna should also work on Zeus doing the same thing, I have yet to buy it so cannot test

    I also suspect Mars exists because of the HDmorph being DAZ only if Vyusur is releasing at Renderosity in future as well as having standbased instead of Dforce fur

    otherwise she would have just moved Zeus there

    Ok, I'm so confused.  I literally just bough Cat Zeus because I thought he was going to be supported with new morphs and stuff.  Now, it looks like I can't buy his morphs at all, so I guess from what I've read here he's been discontinued?  And there's a twin cat named Mars at Rendo?! 

    I guess I should return Zeus, then, and get Mars.  A pity, as I really wanted the Sphinx morph, and I like the orange color.  Mars seems to only have one color, and a Savanah cat morph, which I don't need.  Also, I don't really know what it means when it says Mars has Strand Hair, is that like LAMH or will it work with Iray?  Does anyone know?

    And Vyusur has no control over World Events and still needs to make a living

    Dangit, I really wanted the Sphynx. Guess I'll have to be happy with Hivewire Kitty for now since I have all morphs and colors for that one.

    Oh, I'm not mad at Vyusur at all, I'm sure they are just doing what they have to do.  I'm just confused and miffed in general, that this had to happen.  Thank you for letting me know about the hair.  Now I just have to decide what to do.  Do I keep Zeus (that I KNOW I love) and try to make do, or do I return him and get Mars, who might not be the same but may get more morphs and stuff? Oh, bother.

    You could contact Vysur through the store page on Rendo and ask whether a version of the sphinx will be eventually released for Mars. Without the HD it might not have the same generally "wrinkled" look. But the shape wpuld be useful for dial-spinning. If yu can do without the wrinkles, maybe watch for a Siamese morph, which is similar in a lot of ways.

    she might use normal maps for that instead if she releases one there, a lot of HD can be shown just as well with textures IMO

    Wonder if we can apply stuff from the cat Max back to Zeus? I'd started some morphs and textures while it was at daz, maybe I'll release as a freebie later. Think we all could use the cheerup and cats do that well. *hugs*

    Thanks, WendyLuvsCats. This is great. Lack of HD morphs isnt an problem for me thanks to fur. Here's hoping future Mars addons will also be usable on Zeus. If not, I hope Daz will allow those of us who purchased Zeus related products the ability to return them past the 30 day window in light of political decisions beyond the consumer's control.
