Is there an official DAZ Discord channel for general DAZ topics, or is the Non-Fungible People one the only channel that has DAZ's official blessing?
And if there isn't an official DAZ Discord, are there any unofficial ones that people have found particularly useful?
I honestly have no idea what 75% of what the first message means.
It gave me flashbacks to high school and wandering backstage in the auditorium and into a drama geeks meeting.

It's really weird this is posted in Commons. This should be in the NFT sub-forum.
Reading crap like that makes me glad I'm moving away from Daz.
Time to start researching how to block the NFT crap globally; at least here I'm not the target market.

3) This is the only place on-line where I use an avatar
4) I don't live-stream; if I did, why on earth would I want to "become my NFT" - it's just a block of text. Or do you mean "become the object pointed to by the NFT? If so, say so.
5) As I've stated several times here, the maximuum cash outlay I will make for an NFT is $1.00 US, which will cover ALL overhead as well as the purchase price unless the NFT includes ownership of the object the NFT points to - full copyright transfer.
I'm quite fed up with the conflation of the NFT with the object the NFT points to; they are two very different items.
...even with a 200$ carrot being dangled in front of my nose, I have zero interest in being part of the NFT culture.

No it's actually not all that weird... nobody actually posts there except for people who make fun of or generally hate NFTs.
Well, at least a $200 carrot is actually worth something and even if it's overpriced, you can still eat it or make a snowman's nose out of it... an NFT is just the receipt for the carrot.
Also... I like what you did there with culture...

I'm getting so much NFT garbage from DAZ on Twitter that I'm going to have to unfollow them. Every day it's a retweet of another bizarre avatar that no one would actually use or another of those god-forsaken apes, and even Jay Versluis is selling NFTs now?
I'll never hate DAZ, but I'm sure not liking where those in charge are taking it. Still hoping Adobe buys you out, purges the board of cryptobros, and sees that the amazing talent here is put to better use.
(and before everyone jumps on me: no, Studio should remain free and not be part of the Creative Cloud plan)

Today the papers wrote about someone paying $650k for an NFT with a badly modelled ship that can be used in a game that has not yet even been released (The Sandbox)...

i joined the discord just to get the freebie, but can't figure out how to get the freebie. the code doesn't work for any Daz Originals I have tried. I don't know how to get to the "#daz-daily-deals" listed in the fine print. I assume that is a discord server? But I have no clue how to use discord to get to that once Im logged in. Why even use such a clunky app?
I'm not joining the discord, but that name looks like it's a specific channel in that discord server. Are you on mobile or desktop? On desktop the channels should be listed in the second column from the left (not the one with the large icons, but the one with text names). On mobile if you click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper left, it will bring up the list of channels on the server and you can click on the correct one.
If there is more to it to get the freebie than that, someone on the server or who has gone there will have to help. But if it's just getting to the channel hopefully this helps!
Discord is a major app for communicating online, a funnily enough one that just held off on exploring further integration with crypto and nfts due to intense negative feedback from users!
Once you get on the discord, on the left hand column, scroll down until you find daz-daily-deals, click on that and then follow the link in the second line to verify yourself through Daz, and then you can click on the first link in the post which has the eight or nine items you can have free with the coupon code. I snagged Drago, which was well worth going through these motions. I've never heard of Discord until recently and I really don't understand what it does, but I'm signed up to like five channel things so I guess I should poke around and figure out what it is.
Lmao, this just keeps getting worse and worse. For anyone holding out hope that Adobe will buy them out and fix this mess, Adobe are big NFT fans - even going so far as to add NFT export options to PS (as far as I know).
Definitely agree with Wendy - all this NFT BS is very helpful in figuring out who to unfriend on social media! I've pruned all my social media, it's amazing.

Even a $200 carrot is not tempting me on something that the EU Commision is currently discussing if it should be made illegal or not. I am staying out of that entirely. Better safe than sorry.
