Thank you!
I hope not too! I guess we will find out
Ye Gods. Will wonders never cease?!
Purchased 8 items and spent all my store credit, hope this isn't a one off mistake and I hope the spike on the daily sales graph makes its mark felt.
We're due a decent store credit sale Daz (hint, hint)
Flash sale now on for the delectation of those of us in Europe. Shame it's late in the month and I have no pocket money. Correction: DAZ has all my pocket money already.
Regards,
Richard.
I had time to put three items in my cart. And poof! Gone.
There was a beautiful dark-skinned texture that was supposedly on the Black History sale for $6, but when I put it in my cart, it was $15. Yeah, NO.
Now I gather this was a sale for Europe. Okay. But Daz has jacked up their prices a LOT lately, and between that and the big ball o' chaos that is 4.20, I'm getting irritated. No, I am not going to Daz 4.20 until you debug that thing.
And charging $$$ for Genesis 3 items that are a decade old? REALLY?
It is the first sale they have ever done for Europe. For the whole of January I woke up almost every morning to see the sales offered on the other side of the world which for me, occurred mostly between 11 PM and 7 AM. That's just stating a fact, the evidence is contained in my charts on the third page of this thread.

Onto an opinion. They are flash sales, and that means that someone always has to miss out. It shouldn't always be the same people.
But the stuff about prices is true enough, especially when you get fewer chances to buy with a discount.
@Damsel, I am sorry if that was overly negative, I am fully aware of how frustrating it is when that happens. 7 AM is when many of the sales finish (for me) so even if I do wake up slightly early, at 6:45 AM, I can't look at them properly and I miss the discount. You never know, maybe they will repeat the sale later, as has been suggested as a solution by various people. That gives everyone a chance.
But look, there is another one one now at least!
Thanks Daz for the two flash sales at a convenient time. Unfortunately I have already spent my monthly budget but I really appreciate them.
The one going at the moment isn't working.
Two flash sales at the same time during European daylight hours.
Someone at Daz is taking the mick now
I have read that the third flash sale doesn't work but the second flash sale (the one with Crocodile Liu) seems to work.
Having only just got home from work I'm not amused that the one I could benefit from doesn't work.
We reported it
And now its changed - thanks Daz more money saved to spend elsewhere.
The sale that started.at 2 PM for me has been removed from the front page but it was not due to finish until 6 PM (it is currently 5:30 PM)
You can get to it using this link:

It's still showing the discounts so I think it was removed in error.
That's great. DAZ is repeating the Flash Sale from 10 hours ago ( 60 % for DO items, 70 % for 4 items and it stacks with the Daz + discount).
Just beat me to it! Yes, the sale is the same. The items in the sale appear to be the same too
The sale that wasn't working was released at the wrong time, so its rule wasn't active. The other one was the one that was meant to be live, and it was working.
Hey Daz
I get that your sale times are geared towards your American customers.
Any chance you can do those of us with less aligned timezones a favour?
Here is my example:
Its 1am my time (probably middle afternoon for you) there is a 70% Flash Sale going on, i'm tired, I have tomorrow off work and would like to play around with some new Daz products during my downtime. My Daz wishlist has over 100 items on it but none show up as on discount because they may or may not be part of a 'make your own bundle then apply a code' style sale. I do not have the time or the energy to scroll through sometimes 1000s of items on the off chance that something I desire might be there. So I give up and go to bed. Daz doesnt make a sale, the artist doesn't get any commission and I dont get a new product. Any chance you could flag up when an item on my wishlist is included in a Flash Sale? I was thinking maybe a coloured dot in the corner of an item's listing on the wishlist page?
Thanks for listening
and i'm off to bed
David
I am located in the Netherlands and I often have 50% sales in my wishlist and some 70% as well (normal daytime). You just have to have a bit of patience I guess.
Merged with the existing thread on the same topic.
You need to install the DAZ deals add-on

Last week, Daz responded to the feedback on this, or maybe they were planning it anyway. Either way, I'm in the UK and I was staggered to see a flash sale start at 9 AM on Thursday morning (which is 2 AM MST). It didn't stop there either. These are the times (GMT) of the sales on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th.
Sales in bold were at times I consider to be accessible in Europe.
I guess being mega-critical, the very best Daz Original discount wasn't accessible here, but today hasn't finished yet and if the trend continues, it will balance out over time. And 70% vs 75% isn't much different. Also, there were some very good offers on the PA items, especially the second sale on the 24th, where I managed to get 10 G8.1 characters for $40.
So right now, I think Daz are trying pretty hard to get this right. I'm sure I will notice if that changes!
Rest assured, I am still watching the flash sales as obsessively as ever. It's too late to look at the one that's just started properly, I won't be buying anything. It will be interesting to see if there is one offered at an accessible time here in order to compensate. Let's see what happens...
And I mentioned sales timings in the survey
There was a flash sale in the UK last night somewhere around 11pm. I'm pretty sure. Didn't buy anything.
This table vanished without any email to explain why, so I'm assuming a glitch rather than it containing anything contentious. Or maybe it was something I said when expressing my feelings towards this apparent regresssion. I can't see that publishing a list of sale times from this site is against the TOS.
I also observed that we now know that Daz is capable of offering fair sales because for a brief period, they did it. That is demonstrated in the table above (February 26th), it's not speculation. I'll leave people to draw their own conclusions and to decide whether they care, but on the assumption that at least some people care, I will continue to monitor these and probably publish something monthly, or when something I feel is of interest occurs, such as offering almost 80% off to some customers and not others. I will do this even if there is something good to report, as shown by my arguing the case in favour of Daz just above.
"Asia" is based on AEDT, although JST and IST were also checked. "GMT" was used for Europe.
There's a very nice 70% off flash sale running atm, I think it started around 11 p.m. (Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam time). It's not the most convenient of times but doable. So, a good start to a better development in terms of flash sale timing --- ? (*crosses fingers*)
I'm not so sure.
This is what happened yesterday. I'm afraid with the best will in the world, I can't count a sale starting at some point between 22:00 and midnight (depending on where you are in Europe) as accesible.
The 2:00 AM sale didn't say it was all Daz Originals, but it seemed that it was, so I applied the Daz+ discount. If any of those 10,000+ items were not Daz Originals, that would be 75%. It offered more items and a better discount than the earlier, sociable sale. There was a lot of overlap, so if you were in Europe, you got a worse deal on many of those items. In Asia, you got the better deal, and tediously, in the Americas, you got both deals. And the contemporary items deal that I, personally missed.
Where are the morning sales they were running only last month? Where was the idea of repeating a sale at a 10 hour interval? Where are the longer flash sales that they ran earlier this month?
Will we ever see another sale run at a in the middle of the US night? Because if Daz insists on 4 hour sales, they have to do that, or those sales cannot be fair.
I know Daz staff read the forums. Maybe they don't read this thread, because maybe the decision has been made, but I would like to say how I feel about this. Think of it as a survey response.
You are a store whose pricing model is based on discounts. As far as I'm aware, all items are disccounted regularly. Over the past few months, those discounts have been reducing, leading to an effective increase in prices. The one exception to this is your "Flash Sales". They still offer the sort of discounts customers were used to seeing in the past. It means that your best prices, by far, are only available for a short period of time, typically four hours.
If you are going to do that, that's up to you. But if a customer discovers that the time windows you choose are designed to favour a specific group of people and they are not one of those people (as the chart below proves), then surely you can understand that they will feel they are being charged a lot more money for the same product. I'm not prepared to pay more money for the same product because of where I live. As a consequence, I'm not going to give you any more money. I'm not saying this because I want to "punish" Daz, I realise that my custom makes no real difference, but I just can't enjoy spending money here knowing what you are doing, and this needs to be fun.
To make flash sales fair, you either need to make them longer, run sales that Americans don't get, repeat sales at 12 hour intervals, or just don't do them. Those are the fair options I think? You tried all those options (although you went for 10 hour intervals, biassed to the US, and on two occasions you gave the non European repeat a better discount.)
I used to be able to accept that this was a tehnical limitation, but now I know it isn't. You managed to be fair for a short period of time, so I can only assume now that being unfair again now is a concious choice. Please feel free to reply if I'm missing something or if anything I have said is factually incorrect.
For your convinience, here are the flash sales you have run this month.
