I've never been a big bundle buyer for "core" figures, but I've observed the changes you note. Honestly, it reminds me of a grocery marketing strategy: a package is designed to hold less but not look it. Except the food sellers usually keep prices the same
Well, I just added some new items from today's sale page. The store discount says 20% for PA products and 44% for DOs, but in the cart they show as 30% for PA proucts and 51% for DOs. I'm still a DAZ+ member right now. I wonder if this is the new normal for new releases as a DAZ+ member or just a March Madness discounts for DAZ+ members.
the 4.99 things are that for me too so it is not just DAZ+, it's March Madness not the annual (now Biannual?) PC+/DAZ+ sale
Oh wow, yes, the items released on the 30% days are now only 20% off. So it's I guess March Madness and prices go up? Well it's a kind of madness I guess.
OK. I just noticed the retroactive universal 20% discount for new items when I went to my wishlist. Thanks, Daz, for simplifying my shopping here: Wishlist new items, and use Daz Deals % off filter to shop my wishlist. Ta-ta!
+1
I've been here since late 2005; I really have more content than I'll ever use. I've also become much more discerning in what I'll buy, and the associated price point. I did pick up four of the volumetric items the day they came out, at a 30% discount. I notice that the two I put on my wishlist now show a 20% discount. I'm OK with that - because DAZ has conditioned me to expect significant discounts on 'older' items at some point.
Items in my wishliist go into the cart when the discount exceeds 40%; they get dropped if I haven't purchased them within a year of the release date. New releases, at just a 20% discount will need to be earth-shatteringly good or something I absolutely need - or they go on the wishlist for future consideration.
Right now, the only 'madness' I see this March is DAZ expecting us to make significant expenditures at an historically low introductory discount.
I've been gone for a bit. Hadn't bought anything well past a year. I also have so much content I will never be able to use it all. I just made one purchase and spent $17. its unlikely that I will be purchasing enaything else. I'm used to the good discounts.
