I don't suppose there is any way to make the forum text larger? I'm extremely nearsighted and even with my glasses I'm having to sit closer to the screen than normal. Also this white is too damn bright. But i'll live with that if I can make the text bigger.

in firefox, may work in others, press and hold the CTRL button, then you can press the +  or -  on the number pad to increase or decrease fonts,,,press the number 0 to reset to page default. It dosen't always look all that good though.

I've started getting double email notifications of forum postings. One email message is empty and the other has the link to the forum message.

Edit: that seems to have stopped now. I'm getting just 1 again.

For crying out loud... which airbrain caused the forum setting to reset back to 'light theme'...?

And I thought it couldn't get much worse.  And a rainbow sock puppet for a logo now? Doesn't exactly scream "3D" now, does it.

  • scathascatha Posts: 756

No, it screams: Get me out of here!!

...as well as a pain in the bum since it forces you to reload the page to get rid of it.  So if you were in the middle of writing a comment when it pops up, you lose whatever you typed after the last save.

That is one extremely annoying "feature". I'd rather just deal with the extra "wait" time.

...and yes, the spell checker still needs work as some rather common misspellings (like "hte" or "teh" for "the") are still not being flagged properly.

The gear button for editing a post is also smaller and tricker to click on as well as there is no "Save Draft" button when editing a post.

Sorry, was just a thought. I understand the "need" for a dark scheme though in general lots of larger sites don't have them (not even on their forums) I have a lazy eye which causes my good eye to allow in too much light which means for me "bright white" is actually blinding and painful so I do understand. That said doing every site change times two may be an issue for DAZ so I was just trying to think if there was a way to alleviate the issue and someone do a dark recolor and share it as I think that was what we did before when there was only one color scheme (which looking there seems to be now)

...same here.  The white is painful to look at for me as well.

i really loathe having to scroll by the big useless block at the top.  i'm afraid if i buy anything in the sale, they'll think i like the new look

....guess they had to change it after my Leela threatened to blow them up for pulling the G2 teens from the store.

OK... now I feel a sense of feeling bad about all this.  We should just be good little forum members and just go along with all this.  So we will develope cararacs faster, loose ourselves in the psychedelic craziness of it all and hand them all of our money because we are just too beedazzled by all of this but then again.......

You can also hold the CTRL button and then use the scroll wheel on your mouse, if you have a scroll wheel.  Forward zooms in and backward zooms out.  I think this is a standard Windows feature, as it works in Word and Excel, and other things, too.

I feel Somewhere between pavement, and an old retired sheepdog. Lately it's been more like pavement (steamrollered, lol).

I suspect that like others, it's the 'shiny new' of logos. An attempt to appear more friendly to some 'political groups' and remain on the artistic side at the same time, lol. A hand, or a fish, or a head in wind. With a rainbow of possibilities...

Or as other put it, a really psychedelic looking thing man, with lots of cowbell.

The downside to the rainbow. That thing may end up in the new version/update of Studio, hopefully without the color. As others pointed out, matching colors in a not so neutral environment is nearly impossible. One of a few reasons why I chose Studio instead of Poser, the interface doesn't look like a cheep department-store flat-bed-scanner interface (all looks no functionality).

I can't seem to edit my posts under iOS on the iPad.

On a standard operating system you mouse-over the gear icon on the right edge of the post to gain access to the edit function. But on a touch screen there is no cursor, so you can't "mouse-over".

I could swear that a quick tap on the post used to bring up the gear icon, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

It working on my touch screens, just slide with the finger in the corner and the icon show up, one finger tap for see the edit

why not make the icon pernamently visible ? new users have trouble to find it , btw on my win edge the icon show up pernamently but not when using chrome

I have a thing against touching my monitors. Something about getting finger grime on a 'photo grade display' and how it changes things (color brightness focus, not to say the rainbow effect, lol).

That's a good point tho, Daz did appear to be making the website more Phone Friendly rather then 'Desktop' friendly. Tho this new iteration for once, dose look better on a desktop computer. Time to look at this new look on the Raspbbary, it's close enough to a phone, lol.

No amount of sliding or tapping in the corner brings up the edit icon for me. But I just discovered that a tap on my avatar will make it appear.

I kinda figured that's what DAZ and 'Rosity are up to right now.. making their sites more mobil friendly.  No reason to trash the dark theme though, in fact allot of friends that use their pads and phones love darker themes because it makes the text stand out better for them on the smaller screens.  I know that that works for my old eyes best.

Agreed, not to say, the needto click the gear, for a menu with a single item in it. It's more like a waste of time endlesly clicking to get anywhere, on par with the anoyance of editing the file name in the render tab in Studio. just not good at all.

The 'divs' are off again, lol.

Aside from the shopping cart, and to-small-to-click human-thing, being above the search box in Raspbian, the rest looks good so far...

I checked in today from Daz3D email and wow to my surprise, the new forum works in Firefox finally!

The old 'need to turn on javascript' notice that has bugged me for half a year is still there on top of the page, but the forum actually loads as it should and I even posted comment and zero issue!

No need to use Chrome to surf Daz3D. Yay!!! Happy! Thank devs the the very nice update and good workz!

    Cheers...

I am using Wacom Cintiq Pen and Touch (Desktop ) monitor not a phone  , no rainbow effects no color brightness focus it would be silly for a 2K monitor don't you think ? it is just perfect  :D
