Can you please do something about the footer on the new gallery page, the search buttons are way too big and it stops me from seeing the bottom row of thumbnails. see attached image.

Kicked out again, even after clicking to stay logged in. This is getting SO irritating, please make this fix a priority job.

...I just went back to signing onto the store site first before going into the forums like I did with the last version.  Seems to work much better without all the "hiccups" of being logged out and back in when trying sign in through the forums directly.

Still dislike having to enable spell checking each time I write a comment and sometimes it gives some really "off the wall" suggestions for correction that have no relation to the word which was misspelled.

That was what I did last time out, but I still got kicked out earlier. I agree about the spellchecker, I've noticed some glaring typos in posts recently.

...and some of those typos were somehow saved to the primary dictionary so they are not being flagged.  Supposedly since the spell checker is a service neither any of us or anyone at Daz can go in and delete them.

There has to be a way to allow a browser's spell checker to function.

    That would be nice!

  • Can anybody tell me how to set my forum preference to "not" display my signature by default, but allow me to display it on a one-time basis?

I keep hardware info in my signature, and nothing witty or memorial in nature, so no need to display it "every time" until there is a hardware related thread.

Ok, after this morning's logging-you-out-loop-and-then-log-in-and-then-try-the-link-again session, I tried clicking the link 25 times in a row, it took me to my account page every time.  However the SECOND link worked immediately, after which the first link work immediately.  So it appears you have to log out, then log in, then click one link, then click a second link, to get the first link to work, it isn't just that links fail randomly.  Tomorrow if I remember I'll try NOT following any links and just go to a bookmark to log me out and back in, then see if the links work immediately if I haven't used them during the fail loop.

    Sounds like a plan!

Since so many are having troubles and it isn't helping, I suggest they just turn off the forum's spell checker and let the browsers take over.  What do you mean by service?  It seems to me that it's a disservice!  indecision

...I agree about it being a "disservice".  That was just how it was described to me when I inquired about removing the saved misspellings.

Another thing it does is if you miss a letter at the end of a word (like a final "e" or an " 't " in a contraction) and go back to fix it manually it is still flagged as a misspelling even though it has been corrected. Thankfully at least it doesn't have "auto correct" or you'd get things like "timee" or "doesn't't".

Another issue is this spell checker occasionally gives me "obsolete" forms of words no longer in common usage as suggestions for correction.  Again it is a pain if you are dyslexic like I am.

PLEASE change the order of the button in the logon drop down.  You have that register button first and I keep clicking it by accident.  Grrrrrrrrrr... if I'm already a member why am I even seeing a register button?   Even if I'm logged out the cookies should be written to tell the system I'm a registered member.  That's so annoying! angry

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 41,245

...agreed, I've done that myself a couple times as well.

Has anyone with a support ticket open heard anything back in the last three days? My ticket hasn't been closed, like it was with the first woefully inadequate and inaccurate reply from Support, it just hasn't had any replies. And the only change I can see is that the Announcement tags on threads have changed from blurry-smudge-orange to blue. Just the Announcement tags, not the New tags or Updated By tags.

I'm getting tired of the eyestrain.

Usually, if you log out, the cookies are deleted.  At least that's how it works on most sites.

Wow!  You aren't kidding!  I do notice a few duplicates there.  I would delete the older of each duplicate at the very least.  Maybe clear all your cookies, or at least the DAZ ones, and see if things get a little better.  Maybe the site is getting confused, especially with the duplicates.  If they don't have expiration dates on them, that gets really weird sometimes.   I'm not sure how it picks the cookie if there is more than one with the same name.  It might be a crap shoot.

I just woke up a couple hours ago after an evening nap.  Trying to break a mild fever, and I may be close because I just started sweating about a half hour ago.

Edit:  Does anybody have any ideas regarding my signature problem?

AFAIK, if you change your sig it changes on all your posts, not just on posts made after you change it.
