  • Just reporting that my PC expiry date is now correct (2021 instead of 0000) but it's still showing as cancelled.

    Thanks to everyone working behind the scenes on this. I know it must be extremely stressful for all the staff involved in IT and client support, and I really appreciate it.

  • I tried to check out and a new field was there asking for a 'nickname'. I don't see any way to add a nick name but can't check out wiithout one ?????

    SC still looks way off. Cart price is looking better but doesn't look like PC+ membership is being applied. Also, BeccaGrace for Genesis 8 Female is full price.

     

    Edit: Also, the tab in Firefox starts off with "DAZ3D | 3D Models..." for every single one, even the shopping cart. They used to be more reflective of the actual contents (like "Shopping Cart" for the shopping cart).

  • My PC+ membership appears to have been restored halfway.

    The expiration date is wrong but only off by a day (says December 29th when it should be December 30th).

    I don't have my PC+ Coupons and when I add and Item from the PC for a Day category, it shows in my cart at full price, which would indicate that my membership has not been really reactivated.

    I will send a new ticket about this (the cart price issue, the date I already sent one), but guys, come on. I know it's a lot of work revamping the site, but taking into account the number of customers you have, this should have been implemented after a little more testing.

     

    I mean, is it not better to avoid a problem rather than running around putting bandaids all over the place one at a time?

    i skipped the last 3 pages. Store not ready for prime time. I was being optomistic before, but in my gut felt it would take a week to get it straight. Hopefully it won;t be longer, but I will still remain optomistic that it will get fixed sooner or later. 

    The extended sale is pretty much pointless at this time. 

  • Sending some love to the programmers. I've been in their shoes, but in my case I was in a team of one. So I had to figure out an issue all by myself. It can be frustrating and stressful, and having phone calls, messages and emails from people saying that the site is having issues can make things feel even worse.

    One thing I can say to maybe help figure out the issue of canceled memberships is to check the system date on the server to make sure it is the current date. Also, check the format (mm/dd/yyyy) vs (yyyymmdd). Just trying to help.

    Take a deep breath, walk away from it for a minute and come back to it with a fresh mind. Peace!

    I probably missed this, but where is 'the Show wish list' tick box at the top of the sales pages? I am seeing only 'Hide Items I Own' and 'Only Show PC+'. What happen to the rest of the options?

    And the filters aren't dropping down. Huh?

    You know, most companies do this thing where they put new software on a development server and see what breaks, then fix it, before they roll it out on the production server. Not DAZ though. They're like "naaah, we'll let the customers beta test it for us".

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the prices of products changes between the product page and the cart, also cart is not allowing check out. I've tried mulitble browers and stil can not check out.

    +1 - Great message @XpiderMan. These folks had a very long day yesterday and are doing their best today on little rest. Rest assured they don't want the problems any more than we do smiley

  • Have a little faith here... All the testing in the world can't model everything the real site would experience.

    Plus there are serious regulations in how personal data is stored / used / protected. This might have affected how robust the testing was.

    I believe you are using the DAZ Deals add in? That is probably going to be broken until it is updated to match the new site. You'd have to contact the developer for more info.

    The Show Wishlist is from the DazDeals Browser addon - which thanks to the hiccups of the store is not fully working at the moment. Ati and Overdrawn are waiting for the store to settle, before they try to fix it and their fix is kicked out by Daz fixing something else ...

    I wish I had seen this as I was typing my earlier response. I agree...  I imagine more than one person in IT has had a meltdown and threatened to quit in the past 24 hours.

    This is actually a feature of the new store - not the price change, but the not being able to check out. Jack mentioned it somewhere ...

    The fact that it is the wrong price stops the ability to check out.

    I just checked my DIM in box. Files for Poser and old DS files are now missing. They were there yesterday morning. Was that intended?

    There seems to be a problem with the interactive licenses in the new store - before the change, ILs already bought could not be bought twice, the option was kind of blanked out if you already owned them, but now you can buy the ILs again without any indication that you already own those.

    So probably best to be a bit careful what you buy right now ;)

    well I have utterly no intention of buying anything until it's fixed but they do need feedback so they can fix it

    Reporting bugs is one thing, saying those groceries should have been double-bagged is another.

    Yes, I'm a old timer of the Daz site. lol! I jioned back in I think 2003 got my first software of Poser. i was hooked. Though I have somehow missed any site mishaps. I did miss the major change up when the site switched to it's current state in the forums. which my name changed to ChadCrypto. It use to be Zyron back in the early 2000's  I have been more active the last 4 years.  @3diva ROCKS!

    At work, we are currently moving our database into a new system, so I know first hand that migrating from one system to the next is a pain in the rear end. Problems are to be expected.

    But the errors right now are "top layer". You could've seen most of them easily if you'd tested the migration beforehand. That's what a development system is for. Even if you make an anonymised small scale "experiment", it should give you ample things to see straight away. PC+ and the issues with the library, for example, or the weirdness in store credit.

    Of course, you can test those and still those things you tested go awfully wrong during the "main event". I'm confident that the programmer(s) at DAZ will solve the issues. It's still not a nice thing happening, to both sides of the store fence.

    Ditto here. My expiry date seems correct, but status stillreads Cancelled and when products are brought up for purchase they are not showing correct PC+ prices.

    As an ex-IT guy, I can honestly say I never saw a project go live without some teething troubles however much we tested. Good luck to the techies sorting out this one, it's a thankless task - they'll work their butts off to get everything fixed and some peeps will respond with a 'hmmf, at last, shouldn't have gone live until it was 100% correct'. Those of us who've been there will just say 'Thanks, good job, now have a rest'.

  • I am experiencing a problem with a fast grab item I am thinking about purchasing.  When those items are added to my cart, the cost is more expensive than the discount displayed on the item's page.

    Same thing also applies to sale items, particular the ones that are 65% off today.  They display the sale price on the item's page, but after adding it to the cart, the regular price displays.  This should not be.

    What is going on?
