Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the prices of products changes between the product page and the cart, also cart is not allowing check out. I've tried mulitble browers and stil can not check out.

This is actually a feature of the new store - not the price change, but the not being able to check out. Jack mentioned it somewhere ...

The fact that it is the wrong price stops the ability to check out.

I think, for that reason, they should continue the sale until at least the day after the problem is fixed.

I was considering purchasing a couple of items today.  Good thing I didn't.  I hope the sale will be put on hold until at least the day after the problem is fixed.

The store is suffering a database error, please try again, well, eventually.

  • I just checked my DIM in box. Files for Poser and old DS files are now missing. They were there yesterday morning. Was that intended?

A lot of Legacy and CF packages started to show in DIM a week or so back when they shouldn't, it may be that was fixed or it may be related to the general DIM issues affecting some users.

Will we be able to bookmark individual posts within a forum thread?

You can already.. right click on the time to the left of the post under the avatar.

Thanks Jack, but I meant so that they would appear in the forum's "My Bookmarks" section. Unless those are going away?

If you just click the time/date stamp it will open the page to the post, and you can bookmark that as usual.

Just on the main pages? They are opening OK for me at the moment.

The problem appears to be in the PC+ membership, where accounts are cancelled because of an erroneous entry.

As an ex-IT guy, I can honestly say I never saw a project go live without some teething troubles however much we tested. Good luck to the techies sorting out this one, it's a thankless task - they'll work their butts off to get everything fixed and some peeps will respond with a 'hmmf, at last, shouldn't have gone live until it was 100% correct'. Those of us who've been there will just say 'Thanks, good job, now have a rest'.

Well, there's "teething troubles" and "complete meltdowns" and looking at all the problems the shop shows us, it's way closer to the second than to the first.

I wonder especially about the shop really staying open, even with all those faulty prices going on... isn't that an invitation to customers complaining and asking for refunds or at least payback of money falsely paid due a shop software not working properly and showing the false prices?

  • I am experiencing a problem with a fast grab item I am thinking about purchasing.  When those items are added to my cart, the cost is more expensive than the discount displayed on the item's page.

Same thing also applies to sale items, particular the ones that are 65% off today.  They display the sale price on the item's page, but after adding it to the cart, the regular price displays.  This should not be.

    What is going on?

same here. It's frustrating. And I'm not exactly rolling in the Benjamins (but not broke as a joke either mind you) so the sales are extremely useful for me. Also as someone in the tech industry like myself I salute you programmers IT staff and admins over at DAZ! One word coming from me right now. Kudos! Oh yeah and Thanks! Trust me I feel y'all technology is a pain in the rump. Hang in there and don't give up!

Yeah, my PC+ Membership, which I swear I had on auto-renew, suddenly got cancelled. Weird...

Attached is a screenshot of my cart -  Build Your Own Bundle 7 items.  I double checked and all of the items are still in the BYOB7, but the total is not the 2.99 that it should be.  Thanks.

Yeah, you have the correct number of items. It's just that the site is still being fixed. I don't think it's wise for anyone to purchase anything yet. We might miss out on the deals for today though. ;{ I hope they extend the deals though if things aren't fixed today.

Great! Bought a Gift card but don't receive the code to redeem. Can't login in HelpCenter. Hopefully my Help request will arrive anyway?!

If your product library is not loading, or if you can't log in, or a number of other issues, try closing all your tabs and windows open the Daz and clearing cache and cookies for at least the Daz3d site.  That brought my product library back. Depending on browser a full refresh might do it, but I've rarely had much luck with that.

Other than that, all I can say after well over a decade in IT is I have never seen a successful software migration that didn't go through these cycles:

Anticipation "It will be so much better and fix all our problems"

Antipathy "Nothing works the way I want it to and stuff is horrible, this was a bad idea, let's go back."

Acceptance "Remember how terrible that old system we had was?  This is so much better."

Of course, the last depends on it being a *successful* migration, which is yet to be seen, but I expect these things will get fixed.

My membership was cancelled as well.  Also, since my membership ends on November 13th, I was trying to purchase a new annual one while the sale is extended.  The price of the 40% off an annual membership listed at $49.00 reverts back to $70 in the cart.

DAZ is not a small business and surely not just a little office so I don't get how there can be so many issues with website/online shop and everything. I mean, how can it be done in such an amateurish way?

Why didn't DAZ just build a new server with all the database and scripts software upgrades , test it and move all the data from the main server into it when everything was correctly beta-tested in their LAN/VPN ? Whatever beta testing was done obviously it wasn't done correctly otherwise there wouldn't have been any issues with the upgrade right now...

So why risking the upgrades on the main server like this having all customers complaining for all the bugs with the accounts ?

If a new server was built correctly moving all the updated data from the main older server it would have been really quick. Swapping the two servers wouldn't require more than a bunch of minutes once you got the new one ready and fully working.

I can understand a small business and a single man shop having server issues like these but I don't get how a big business can put itself in such trouble. DAZ is not as big as Apple or Amazon obviously but it still is a big business anyway. It surely doesn't have money issues to afford paying what is needed to achieve the needed results. Am I wrong, perhaps?

You are wrong in that Daz is not a big business, but a small one.

The "My orders" page used to only show real-money spending. Now it seems to show both real-money and store-credit spending, making it look like I'm spending twice as much as I really am. Is this intentional?

    I'll inquire.

Was there a response to this? I'm fixing the features of the browser addon, and the answer to this question determines whether this feature stays (if the page goes back to showing real-money only, or if there will be some kind of distinction between store credit and real-money orders) or would have to be removed (if both real-money and store credit spendings are displayed the same exact way).

    Thank you. :)

my PC* membership also was and still canceled and also when i click on the platinum 1,99 promo and go to the page it don't allow me to sort stuffs by figure, things are a lot bugged.

  • I tried placing a help center ticket, but it won't let me file one, so I'm going to say that IT is working on the issues and some parts of the site are inaccessible at the time I post this.

Whem i go to the PC+ For A day choices, choose one.  It still comes up in my cart as full price and not the $1.99 price.

FWIW when trying to sign in to the Help Center I get this: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP. Using Firefox.

My PC+ membership (which is good through 2022) isn't working either.  I was going to buy another GC this morning, but I don't trust the store enough to pluck down a few hundred now against a broken system.   Hopefully DAZ will recognize it's error and make similar offers in the future.

Nope.  I got a ticket posted now.  I retract this comment.  Sorry.

The problem I see with the store credit section is that you are using the value from the previous purchase but the +/- from the current action. So when you add a gift card, the previous purchase amount is added back and then the next line up the gift card is subtracted off, resulting in a big loss. This pattern occurs all up and down the list.

    What store credit is showing:

    Payment towards order (1091162xx) $-21.53 $-70.71  (this went down 260 instead of down 21.53) 10/28/20 9:23 PM
Gift Card claim (gift card code ) $260.00 $189.29 (this went up 14.54 instead of 260) 10/27/20 8:39 PM
    Payment towards order (1091035xx) $-14.54 $174.75 10/26/20 9:08 PM

    What it should show:

    Payment towards order (1091162xx) $-21.53 $398.68                                                                       10/28/20 9:23 PM
    Gift Card claim (gift card code ) $260.00 $420.21 10/27/20 8:39 PM
    Payment towards order (1091035xx) $-14.54 $160.21 10/26/20 9:08 PM

    It's a known issue :)

  • Anyone else seeing very, very slow site response? Slow displaying all the elements of the store main page, slow displaying my wishlist, slow displaying forum pages, etc...

Also, add me to the "PC+ shows cancelled, no discounts anywhere" list.

And the usual page icons are still broken, and some header and footer text fonts are wrong (looks like a style sheet glitch, maybe?).

  • It's going to take some time for DAZ IT to fix things.  I know the code gurus will get things ironed out eventually.  They always do.

  • and a few banner with the old "cant load user / Membership data...." but only for 1-2 seconds
